‘They’re Going to Watch You’: GOP House Members Tell Megyn Kelly That Leftists Are Stalking Their Homes With Cameras

Hardball tactics are nothing new in politics. However, one of the outer bounds on whether a particularly nasty tactic ought to be used is surely the question of relevance. That is, will the information uncovered by going after someone a particular way actually be worth the bad press earned by the act itself? In the case of the following story, from Megyn Kelly’s show on Fox News today, we are not at all sure that such a calculus was used.
You see, apparently the Left believes it’s a wise idea to sic armies of campaign videographers not merely on politicians themselves, but on their families and homes. Yes, that’s right, Leftist videographers are now videotaping Congressional candidates’ homes, like some unholy combination of a prowler and a peeping Tom. Why? Politico quotes Democratic spokesman Jesse Ferguson:
“House Republicans have spent this entire Congress trying to hide that they’re protecting benefits for millionaires and perks for themselves instead of protecting the middle class, but we won’t let them keep it secret any longer.”
So they‘re filming GOP candidates’ homes to show that these people are rich and out of touch? Not to be snide, but do they really want to go down that road, given how many Democratic lawmakers are wealthy people? Moreover, as you’ll see in the video interview with Kelly below, they’re doing a poor job of targeting the wealthier GOP congressmen:

Megyn Kelly said that it was to prove that these Congressmen were rich people, but I don’t know what the standard of living is in WI or Ohio, but here in Memphis, those houses would run about $200,000 – far from being millionaires. Maybe to a New Yorker or a Californian those houses would be considered huge and fancy, but not here. I think the Democrats are merely trying to intimidate the Republicans with all of this. I wish the government would have any concern for people’s private information these days and safety as they meddle with everything they really need to get our addresses off of the internet.
