    I saw a lot of this interview this morning, and could not believe what I was hearing. He went on and on about what Israel and Netanyahu needed to do and say, and only at the very end did he address Palestine and their leaders and how it was unclear if peace could actually work. Another astonishing thing he said was how that NOW there is a wonderful Palestinian government in place that Israel should take advantage of working with right now. WHAT!!!!!!????!!!!???

      Actually, I think there is truth that Obama was referring to “a starting point”
      HOWEVER…
      Even IF that is our policy, YOU DON’T SHOW YOUR CARDS!
      Let‘s say I’m going to buy a new SUV. I go to the dealer and he has a sticker price on the car.
      I will negotiate off of that price.
      However, if he told me up front, “Ya know, It says $30,000 but I’d take 20,000,” would ANYBODY offer him anything more than 20,000? NO.
      So, what Obama did, is show his cards, and Israel’s cards, BEFORE the negotiations started!
      What a maroon.

      On top of all this, what Obama is saying is basically, Israel has to loan all that land to the “palestenians” so they have something to negotiate with.

      Huh? You wanna play poker with me but you have no chips? So, I have to give you some of mine so you can play? WHAT???

      Obama also mentioned CONTIGUOUS BORDERS. The ONLY physical way for there to be contiguous borders would be to CUT ISRAEL IN HALF – two pieces with a ‘land bridge’ in between that belonged to someone else… HARDLY a defensable situation for any country.

      Obama is too accustomed to chicago thug politics – If he wants 10 widgets, he asks for 1,000. If you are dumb enough to “negotiate” with him, he gets 300, and you walk away thinking you got a deal!
      Hey, Freshmen… NO NEGOTIATING!! NO COMPROMISE!! They are already framing the conversation thusly – “it all depends on whether they are willing to negotiate or if they are blind idealists”

      Palestine is comprised of 6049 sq miles. Israel is only 394 square miles. Palestine wants land that contains Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives and several synagogues knocking their 45 miles wide to 9 miles wide rendering Israel defenseless.       The solution to peace in the middle east is simple: Israel holds on to every inch of land it has, and they kill anyone who doesn’t like it.

      Of course they have to keep killing Arabs forever, and there will never be peace, but who cares. We won.

      Shame on Obama for trying to negotiate a peace that involves any exchange of land or anything but absolute subjugation of the Palestinians. I know they Lord God said “blessed are the peacemakers” but he certainly didn’t mean compromising with anyone.
