This Is a ‘Who Is Tim Tebow Dating?’ Story That You Will Really Like

Tebow-mania subsided substantially since Tom Brady and the New England Patriots crushed the Denver Broncos’ hopes for a fairytale trip to the Super Bowl.

But that isn’t stopping Tim watchers. Now they’re turning their collective attention to the next-best obsession: A storybook ending in the quarterback’s personal life.

As in…does he have a girlfriend?Who Is Tim Tebow Dating? Meet Kelly Faughn

Tebow says no. The outspoken Christian and acknowledged virgin says he’s “too busy with football and life…I am blessed to have a close-knit [group] around me. I love meeting and talking with people, socializing and hanging out. But people can read it the wrong way.”

Tebow notes that “leading girls on” is definitely not in his playbook. “I always want to be very careful about that,” he says. “That is one thing that’s a little frustrating.”

So with the gossip mill linking him ad nauseum with newly single icons such as Olympic champion skier Lindsey Vonn and pop superstar Katy Perry, it‘s refreshing to learn of Tebow’s real-life friendship with brain-tumor survivor Kelly Faughn.

Who Is Tim Tebow Dating? Meet Kelly Faughn

"We are God-friends," Kelly says of Tebow.

”I just think he’s great, a really nice guy,” said Kelly, 22, of Clifton, Va., who still deals with hearing loss suffered at birth and a tremor that began when she was 12. “It’s just his faith. We are God-friends.”

It all started in 2009 after Kelly’s surgery to remove a benign brain tumor and a much-needed trip to Disney World in Orlando with her family. The bonus was that Tebow, then with the University of Florida, was scheduled to attend ESPN’s College Football Awards at Disney.

Since Kelly was a big Tim fan, she and her dad, Jim, hatched their plan. They grabbed a spot in the ESPN Zone restaurant the day before the awards, Kelly wearing her “I Love Timmy” button and hoping to catch a glimpse of Tebow as he walked byand she did.

Well, I thought, that’s it,” Jim said. “We got a wave from Timmy and I thought that was the end of it. Then, somebody came to our table and asked if we wanted to meet Timmy.”

Silly question.

Kelly was whisked into a private banquet room where Kelly was seated at Tebow’s side, chatting with him during the entire dinner. Then Tebow had another surprise in store, Kelly remembered.

“He said, ‘What are you doing tomorrow night? Why don’t you come to the awards dinner as my date?’” Kelly said. “I was shocked. I said yes. I felt like Cinderella.”

Without much more than T-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops in her suitcase, Kelly spent the next day “power shopping” and getting her hair done. “I felt like I was in heaven,” Kelly said.

Kelly and Tebow have stayed in touch since their whirlwind date, exchanging messages and gifts. Kelly sent him a box of nutrition bars, and Tebow sent her an engraved Bible for Christmas. The family has also attended two games, including one in Denver last month arranged by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Kelly chats with Tebow before last December's game.

“He’s a really nice guy, but it’s his faith,” Kelly said. “He really believes in God.”

In case you guys didn’t read the story..a missionary couple in Africa was exposed to parasites, bacteria, etc before knowing they were with child. Doctors tried to persuade her to abort..she wouldn’t..she made a deal with God if he’d let her baby be born healthy..she would raise him to be a preacher..hence..Tim Tebow.
I have been trying to persuade my nieces to remain virgins until marriage. what a wonderful thing being in the Lord can do…

The left-leaning media tries to belittle Tebow at any opportunity. His faith in God scares them because they have nothing in their lives that comes close to what God offers true believers. In ridiculing him, they reveal themselves to be ‘paper tigers’. Truly, they are powerless.

Once the media loses its objectivity, it also loses its credibility. Why should we believe anything they have to say?

If you haven’t read his book, it is a wonderful read and goes very quickly. He is grounded because his family is grounded, and his priorities are definitely in the right place. His book should be required reading in school, but won’t because the word “God” is in it. Gjod bless Tim and his faithful Tebowers.

If this nation were to get back to God..and I do mean .. really abide in Him..He would heal our nation. That is why there is all of this adversity..Satan is working overtime. If we raised our children in a truly “Bilblically based.”.not a “politically correct” church..just think of what blessed lives they could have. There was an article a few days back about offering the Biblle in High School..If they are offering Abrahamic studies of Islam..which they are in Virginia..then why not.? This would be a blessing for America..Just think of the debates!!! Praise be to God the Father the Most High and to His Son Jesus who was born of a virgin..making Himself a little lower than the angels..was crucified for our sins..rose the third day,,ascended to heaven taking His place at the right hand of Father God and making Hiimself by His righteous work a little higher than the angels..whom He created..

In you‘re heart of love for you’re nieces do not overwhelm them. Sometime we do not do “good” with wisdom, and this can have the opposite effect.
Lead them to Christ … if already there build on that foundation … let the Spirit be their guide and friend … pray mighty prayers to you’re Father in heaven … and lay you’re head down on the soft pillow of faith and rest well ……. wisdom and peace be yours.

      Yo Ashes;
I did not intend nor say that you should be silent … God will use you, this is sure. Just do it in his grace. Trust Him above yourself , we DO NOT change hearts which is necessary to not be of this world. I believe one fervent prayer in silence can do more then a lifetime of human words. Call me a fool but this I believe. I did not listen to the words of men and went off and had my time. God changed me and only those that speak His words. I pray the Spirit will guide you to speak Hiswisdom and power into their hearts to overcome the world … peace

That’s just it, Tim Tebow is a great example to all of us. In this nation of corrupt politicians, loose morals and one parent families we need someone like Tim to remind us what goodness is.

It‘s hard to accept what’s happened in America, even in my lifetime. It takes a mom and dad to raise a family (not a village) it takes belief in Godly morals being taught to our children instead of the trash that’s accepted. Our gov’t has passed out birth control to children, made killing babies acceptable, and that anything goes. God help America for the type people we‘ve voted into office who’ve made America become a 3rd world type country with very little Christian morals.

You are absolutely correct. This is known as being “equally yoked.” And the only way that this can be accomplished is for single men and women to look beyond the artificial and concentrate on what is really important when looking for a life-long relationship. Unfortunately, we’ve been led to believe that good looks are all that matter. This young man is doing the nearly impossible for someone in his station. He’s the kind of guy who could bed down a different woman each night – but that would defy his most basic Christian belief as it relates to finding a wife. So far he’s doing all the right things – but he’ll need a whole lot of support (prayer) as he goes forward. He is a great leader.

But let’s see how he reacts when he makes mistakes, as all of us who believe in Jesus Christ do. The media will jump on him like hyenas. Only then will he be truly tested. As Christians we’ll all need to resist the temptation to turn away from him. It will be our jobs to lift him back up – just as we would do for any of our own children who are unable to resist temptation.

@Rational Man — You’re absolutely right. No one seems to “get it”. It‘s much easier for them to bash him and claim he’s disingenuous than to take a look at themselves and ask “Why can’t I be more giving of my time like that?” I just finished reading his book (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and can tell you that no matter what anyone says about him, the guy WILL NOT CHANGE. His foundation in his family, friends, and most importantly his faith, are so unshakable. Thank GOD for Tim Tebow. The world could use more like him.
