‘This Is Going on YouTube’: See How This Lamborghini Ends Up Crashing

It’s not every day you see a $250,000 car in front of you at a stop light. Can you blame the driver and friends sitting behind the bright yellow Lamborghini Gallardo for switching on a smartphone to record some footage of it taking off when the green light flashes?

Stereotypical Lamborghini Crash Caught on Video

(Image: YouTube screenshot)

They sure are glad they did. Although initially disappointing to the car doing the filming, the Lamborghini doesn’t gun it and go straight through the intersection as expected when the light changes. He does gun it but turns left instead. That’s when the disappointment of missing out on getting to see the car really open up turns into something those filming never expected.

We won’t describe what happened any further. Watch it for yourself and form your own judgements (Note: If you can’t stand the anticipation of waiting for the light to turn green, jump to 0:48):

Toward the end of the video, one of the passengers says “That is getting some good views.” So far, it has more than 400,000 hits within a day of posting.

Jalopnik, an automotive blog, considers the crash “stereotypical.” Is it what you were expecting?

      Serves that driver right.

I see people in sporty cars all the time on my state roads drive like the road is their own personal race track.

To the driver and anybody who knows the driver of the over priced foreign piece of nonsense….THAT’S WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING COCKY.

This guy obviously didn’t take the advice that Doc Hudson gave to Lightning McQueen, “If you’re going hard enough left, you’ll find yourself turning right”.

I’m pretty sure this was one of those “Mayhem” Allstate commercials they were filming.

“You just bought a $300,000 Lamborghini and want to show off to your girlfriend what a bad ass driver you are, to make up for your lack of penis size…when…CRASH”!!!!!

If you can afford the price of the car, you can afford the drive to Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and learn how to drive the machine.

Unless you live near the salt flats, buying a Lamborghini to drive around in the US makes about as much sense as flying from Philadelphia to Atlantic City on the Concorde. If you have the insatiable desire for speed, go to Germany and rent a Lamborghini. At least on the autobahn, you can drive in the left lane at 190mph if you’d like.

I think it fitting that one of the two cars the Lambo ran into was a law enforcement officer. It was like the officer turned on a giant magnet and made the Lambo come to him.

Sorry, law enforcement officers rarely drive Mercury Grand Marquis. There is nothing about the car that looks like a civil service vehicle other than it’s platform mate is used as them. It’s just a guy in a big Mercury.

Seems like if you can afford a $250,000 ride, ya might want to take some Skip Barber classes on how to make a left turn at a traffic light. Just sayin’.

If it’d been an Aston Martin, I think I would’ve cried.

Up in the hills where I live we had a Lamborghini club go through our county and one of the cars lost control, lept a gully and landed in a cow pasture and burst in flames. The woman driving was unhurt. We came upon it a short time after the accident and the woman was standing on the side of the road laughing her @$$ off. There were over a hundred feet of skid marks in line with where she landed.
