CNN:
Cincinnati (CNN) — As he cradled his wife’s limp body in his arms, Tim Delgado told himself, “You have to do this.”
The fate of Alison, his wife, best friend and medical school classmate, depended on it. His usually steady hands quivered as he held her pale face steady and fumbled with the tools that could save her life. Her doe-eyes rolled to the back of her head.
Through tears, he said, “I’m sorry, babe.”
Then, he stabbed her neck.
Alison’s eyes shot open. She gurgled in pain and weakly clawed at the tracheotomy tube that pierced her throat.
This was the second time that Dr. Delgado saved his wife’s life. Learn about the first, and the love story that defines it…watch this:

Posted on March 6, 2011 at 12:58pmIs it me , or is this story only half finished, the story says this is the second time he has saved his wife and goes into the video. WELL, WHAT ABOUT THE SECOND TIME DAMMIT.!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate these half finished stories. I thought the blaze was going to be real professionals, and I see a lot of these stories that only partially tell the whole damn story. Come on guys, get your head out of the sand and do some home work. oh wait , I am talking to the Media, what kind doesn’t matter

Posted on March 6, 2011 at 1:51pmI was also confused after watching the video. I had to carefully read the CNN article to figure it out. The bicycle accident occurred first (October 16), then the aneurysm (November 21).

Posted on March 6, 2011 at 11:21amMay the good Lord smile upon both of you and shower you with blessings and guide your hands as you practice your chosen path. As a very dear friend Dr. A.J. C. once said to me, “I am unable to cure anyone,I am but a technician of the Lord” and only He can cure the sick or injured.

Posted on March 6, 2011 at 10:32amSo many stories are always negative, or a look at what they are doing now tone. THANK YOU so much for posting a story about the POSITIVE stories that are sometimes missed. Everyday is not sunshine and lollipops, but I see the love I have for my wife, and she has for me, in their eyes, and it just lets me know there are still some right things in our world.

Posted on March 7, 2011 at 11:09amQuick question, but why do you see god in this story? It’s your loving and caring god that is responsible for her needing this procedure.
I’d say this story is God 0 – Medical Science 1.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Report Post »Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

Posted on March 7, 2011 at 4:47pmSo you would prefer to sit on your butt and let God do everything for you? Didn’t God create the doctor? Didn’t God give the doctor the knowledge and the skill to practice his craft? If everything in life were perfect–no accidents, no sick people, no poor people, no people in need, no people who are hurting–then it would follow that no one would ever learn how to care for other people in their physical and emotional hurts; no one would ever learn how to love. For it is only when loving and caring is hard and difficult, and you do it anyway, that it means anything.
You remind me of the story of the woman who, everyday on her way home from work, passed by a poor woman, homeless, starving. In anger, she said to God, “If you are so all-powerful, why don’t you do something about this?” For a long while, God was silent. Then, after a couple hours, He answered her: “I certainly did do something about it. I made you.”

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 12:39amIsn’t it interesting the people who post on any type of story remotely inspirational or faith based? There are people who are Atheists trying to force their view of the world on Christian’s and some vice versa. As Americans who are the anomaly in the world and have “Freedom of Religion” or “Freedom from Religion” for that matter; should we not be focusing on our commonalities rather than the differences? The story is inspirational and refreshing to see in the “tragedy or blood leads” media mindset of today. The main stream media has done a great job if the mission is to divide and conquer! Most Americans, be that Christians, Gnostics, Atheists, or any host of other beliefs are descent people. If we are going to keep this Republic intact, it will require all Americans who agree on 70-80% of core beliefs to unite.
