‘This Is Not a Parody’: RNC Slams Obama for Avoiding WH Press Corps in New Attack Ad

The Republican National Convention has released a scathing new ad, blasting President Obama for seemingly avoiding the White House Press Corps while doing interviews with soft outlets like “People” magazine and “Entertainment Tonight.”

(RELATED: Obama Asked Tough Questions During Radio Interview: ‘Red or Green?’)

The web ad, released Friday, starts by asking: “Why is Obama avoiding the White House Press Corps?”

The video then mocks President Obama mercilessly for finding the time in his busy schedule to talk to reporters who ask him about what his superpower would be if he were a superhero and what color he prefers, red or green. The text on the screen at one point reads, “This is not a parody. Actual interview with President Obama.”

The RNC ad, titled “Serious Questions,” ends with one final question for Obama: “Mr. President… where are the jobs?”

      So President Obama spent 60 seconds of his time, and said maybe 20 words, on a radio interview (you gotta admit he’s got a good sense of humor). And the RNC is trying to make hay out of that?

      I get the idea: the RNC is trying to say that a President, who spends 60 seconds of his time making a couple of jokes in a radio interview must not be working. Okay, I get the RNC point.. Anyone who spends a minute at work making some jokes is a bad employee, because they ain’t fixin the big problems and are instead taking a 60 second break. They’re lazy. I get it.

      JZS is an idiot. That interview lasted several minutes, which is more time than he has given serious questions from the press (If they could ask him any either). This President is a joke and so are the idiots in New Mexico that can’t ask the tough questions that the American people so desperately want to hear. Where are the jobs, Mr. President?

      Why does Romney and Ryan avoid telling the truth about Mitten’s record in Mass (requesting SS waivers that the right in complaining about today), avoiding the truth about Bain or Swiss accounts or multi million dollar iras. There is Ryan caught today in a lie about the stimulus plan, then there is his voting record during he W. years.

      Romney and Ryan ticket is going down faster than the titanic.

      JZS – add that “60 seconds” to the 114 games of golf, the multiple vacations, and the 1.5 years spent passing obamiecare, something that was not on anyone‘s mind but give the gov’t effective control over 1/6th of the economy and yes, it is a valid criticism. 2 years ago, at the State of the Union msg, he indicated he was going “focus like a laser” on the economy – and it’s gotten worse. Of course he had to take time off from task to plan the Bin Laden raid, and then to brush on his helicopter flying skills so he could fly seal team six into “Pokistan” himself

      but what we’ve seen him do is kill jobs, (Gulf of mexico moratorium, killing the Keystone pipe line, his EPA killing the coal industry and use of coal in power plants – yeah, he’s focused on jobs alright, but not on creating them – and then we come to obamacare, the biggest job killing legislation that WE DID NOT NEED, ESPECIALLY IN A DOWNTURN ECONOMY

      Obama’s Hanuman, the undefeated demon fighting monkey god… that’s not a bell on his tail. I did a search and found the thing the monkey god carries is the mace he used to smash enemy demons.

      Seriously guys? Obama’s press secretary talks to the press every single day. Romney, on the other hand, refuses to answer question from the press. On his overseas trip, the one to establish his international credibility, he answered exactly two – that right, two – questions on the entire trip.

      Why didn’t the interviewers ask about “I will not rest until every American that wants a job has one.” Has he even stopped resting? There are still millions looking for work.
      I’d rather hear your plans for America. Not about his food, comic books, and music.
      I would have asked him about, “I will transmit that to Vladimir.” What was that about? That doesn’t sound good at all. Obama’s keeping secrets from the people until the next election. So if we knew what that secret was… I expect he would lose in a massive landslide.
      You’d have to be a total moron not to vote for Romney with all we know now.

      Guessing about 20% or so blindly vote Republican and about 30% blindly vote Democrat. A third party would be a mere diversion and we know Obama is not only bad… he’s HORRIFICALLY BAD for America.
      I didn’t vote for Romney in the primaries, but there‘s absolutely no way I’m throwing my vote away on a third party.

The press secretary says what Odumbo tells him to say. Romney will answer any and all pertinent questions in the debates. We like to hear from the horse’s mouth – in this case, the jackass’ mouth – what he going to do about the economy. He’s the one at the helm. We’d like to hear from him why coal plants are shutting down, when 52% of this county’s energy comes from coal. The way Romney will lower taxes is by lifting the restrictions this corrupt administration has put on all businesses – something Barry knows nothing about. One would have to figure G.E., whom BTW, paid zero taxes, would give this moron a lesson in business and economics. As for the Palestinians, who gives a %*&# what they think? There purpose is to wipe Israel off the face of the planet; they don’t exactly make that a secret.       JZS, yes seriously. You can pick out a very small number of human imperfections in Romney but you ignore four years of Obama’s habitual refusal to discuss the issues. Having his press secretary respond to questions, and only ones that he likes to answer, is NOT the same as Obama talking directly to the press corps. His press secretary deflects the real issues. How do you explain away the fact that he has not met with his job’s council? Shows his priorities. Let’s talk actions and results. Obama’s actions show his disdain for Congress and the Constitution…if he can’t get his way according to his ideology, he bypasses Congress and just writes an executive order. No matter what you believe, that is overstepping the authority of an American president and he should be made to answer for that. So, he won’t take questions about issues, just about fluff, he ignores the American people, he thinks we’re too stupid to think for ourselves, and he expects Romney to give over his tax returns, to defend himself from the lies of Reid, yet Obama will not turn over ANY information about his past. I think you have to be blind to believe this man and you are dutifully drinking his Koolaid.

      It’s a good bit different. The reason for everyone wanting Mitt Romney to release tax returns is because Harry Reid is making wild claims that he has a “source” that says Mitt Romney hasn’t paid taxes in 10 years. The mentality usually goes “why doesn’t Romney release them if he has nothing to hide?”

      The problem here is that Reid is the accuser and Reid has the burden of proof. So Romney shouldn’t have to release anything beyond what is legally necessary unless Reid can actually back up his claim and bring charges against Romney.

      The President, on the other hand, has a responsibility to communicate to the public. When he refuses to do so, it is disconcerting to everyone. I have my reservations about Romney to a certain degree, but he’s completely in the clear as far as this issue goes.

      The only part of his tax return that I find interesting is the fact that Romney gave

    The answer is simple. Obama is used to soft-ball questions. He is actually getting some hard questions now – and his narcissistic self can’t cope with that. He finds that his lies, exaggrations, and dstortions are actually being pointed out much more than before. He doesn’t want to have to worry about all of that. It is easier to talk about his favorite food or what he has on his ipod.
