If you stretch your mind back to early December, you may remember that “Law & Order: SVU” filmed a special Occupy Wall Street episode at Foley Square (near Zuccotti Park) in New York City — well, at least they tried to.
The protesters, of course, didn’t like that their movement was being exploited for corporate (a.k.a. Hollywood) gain. So, they did what they’re best known for — they Occupied the set.
Despite their best efforts to stop the production and in light of the fact that the City of New York did inevitably clear out the park — set crew and protesters, alike — the Occupy “Law & Order” episode was inevitably completed. It aired this past Wednesday.
The Huffington Post has more:
The episode, titled “The Official Story,” tackles the sexual assault of a high profile CEO of a military contractor corporation; he’s found beaten and bruised in Central Park. It turns out the crime — and the coverup — is tied to a conspiracy that goes far beyond angry youths protesting injustice in a public square. One of the protestors they question admits to threatening and verbally assaulting the CEO, though not carrying out the actual crime.
Metro described the episode as follows:
…producers were eventually able to pull it off…as seen in last night’s gripping episode about a rape brushed under the rug by a shadowy “armed security” company.
The CEO of the company is served up a little street justice in response to the brutal sexual assault of one of his employees while she was working in Iraq.
Below, see a clip from the show:
And here’s the entire episode. Notice that the movement is identified by name:
This, of course, is not to be confused with “Shariah Law & Order,” a very different program featured on GBTV’s “B.S. of A.”

Posted on January 21, 2012 at 10:29amI stopped watching Law & Order years ago too. The shows were always filled with liberal BS. If they could drag their heads out of their butt and see the real world maybe just maybe I could tune back in. I don’t think that will happen in my lifetime. How sad!

Posted on January 21, 2012 at 3:07pmYes, I also stopped watching. Every time they showed a “Christian” who stands up for their beliefs, they portray him as a religious nut job and the cops and lawyers are the “normal” people. They also portray anybody who is patriotic or tea partier as a timothy mcvay type person. I pray this bias liberal show bites the dust soon.

Posted on January 20, 2012 at 11:03pmI stopped watching all of Wolfe’s productions when they actually blamed right wing commentators by name, OReilly, Hannity et al and the tea parties for their divisive rhetoric. Apparently, judging by these posts, they haven’t treated the occupy movement the same way.

Posted on January 20, 2012 at 5:13pmYou can tell they’re actors…the actor playing the OWS brownshirt is far too clean and not exuding a foul odor.
Report Post »Hollywood is adorable isn’t it? OWS is dead. The public turned against it but here’s Hollywood pulling out the defibrilators yelling “Clear” and trying to resuscitate OWS. To make it even more cute…Hollywood has to fictionalize OWS to make it appear less odious and destructive. Hollywood is basically saying..don’t believe your eyes..believe our writers instead.

Posted on January 20, 2012 at 5:14pmInstead of “ripped from the headlines” Hollywood’s portrayal of OWS should read: “ripped from the hopes and dreams of liberal hollywood elites”.

Posted on January 20, 2012 at 5:05pmLaw & Order’s writers (and now Harry’s Law) believe they have the podium (Bully Pulpit) to preach what their take on what is best for society. I like law based dramas, but these have become “political statement” dramas. It is all well and good, no one has to watch them but, “Law & Order” has certainly become one of the many poster children for how much the entertainment industry had posited itself as the conscience of our society…

Posted on January 20, 2012 at 6:56pmMy hubby and I used to watch this show years ago. Stopped when they started to throw in their liberal pc crap. Actually it was already there, but it was more in your face. We stopped watching all the Law & Order and CSI’s because of this. Grey’s Anatomy went also. Big turnoff when their main focus is showing two women in bed together.

Posted on January 20, 2012 at 4:58pmLike the show or not… the actual episode is proof the OWes uS groups that ransacked the set were, in fact, stupid. There was very little, if anything, about the actual protestors other than as backdrop… like the traffic.
I personally like the show and would like to see a more involved plot that used the real rapes and sexual assaults going on by the OWes uS protestors, but I know that Hollywood, and by extention NYC, won’t go that way. It’s a shame, as some of the more brutal sexual crimes are happening in real life (don’t report on the “Islamic Spring” in Egypt unless you are prepared to be gang raped).
