This Is the One Obama SOTU Clip That Has Beck So Upset

There have been a lot of clips circulating since the president delivered his State of the Union speech last night. But one clip in particular really set Glenn Beck off Wednesday morning. And it had to do with Obama announcing something he wants to do with executive power.

Here’s what Obama said (according to prepared remarks):

The executive branch also needs to change. Too often, it’s inefficient, outdated and remote. That’s why I’ve asked this Congress to grant me the authority to consolidate the federal bureaucracy so that our Government is leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people.

Beck called it a prime example of “Phillip Dru: Administrator” — a reference to the futuristic novel that shows the rise of a man becoming an American dictator. The author was close to Woodrow Wilson.

According to Beck, this is the clip everyone should be leading their newscasts with considering, he says, it indicates an Obama power grab.

“This is so incredibly dangerous,” Beck said on radio. “And it’s so Cass Sunstein.”

“Do not give this man consolidated power!” Beck declared. “How much more power does he need?”

Co-host Stu noted some other irony: Obama’s saying he wants to make the executive much leaner by asking for more power. Isn’t that odd?

      I reacted the same way when Obama said this. Obama wants more power this has nothing to do with “consolidating” departments. Obama merely seeks to create a bigger beaurocracy beholden to him and his liberal successors.

      Obama is on record saying he wants to “put the pedal to the metal” – an alinsky tactic for those who have never listened to even one word of Glenn’s warnings. This is just a major POWER GRAB – or at least an attempt at it. I don’t think even his socialist democrat buddies in Congress are willing to give THEIR POWER up for him.

      I’ve never seen obama wearing so much makeup before. It looks like a marxist Tammy Fae Baker !
      I think it is the wrong shade or something. It looks unnatural, plastic. He needs a better makeup artist.
      Unless of course that is his true self showing through – fake – plastic – chameleon.

      So Glenn Beck should really throw his support behind the only man exalting the US Constitution which is Dr. Ron Paul.. But hell no, Dr. Paul doesn‘t desire to continue bombing Arabs for Israel so he’s a kook.
      Come on Beck, put your allegiance for the US Constitution ahead of Israel and let‘s begin to fix this country once and for all and begin calling out all of these anti American Marxists in high places in the US gov’t.

      Was I the only one who thought it was tacky for Michelle to wear a cocktail dress to a business meeting? Common sense dictates a nice business dress or suit for the occasion. Maybe they were having a cocktail party afterwards. Oh well, at least she wasn’t wearing bobby socks.

      Obama is governing like a dictator and it is obvious he wants to be Dictator of the United States instead of President of the United States.

      Presidential power in the U.S. has limitations and fetters and American Presidents have to compromise and work in concert with fellow legislators to achieve their ends. Presidents are also bound by the rule of law and have to work within it. Dictators have no such restrictions.

      When Obama says he can’t wait for the rule of law to implement his agenda as he did earlier this week he rejects the entire American political system and places it in jeopardy. When Obama governs by Executive Order instead of by Legislative Fiat, as he has done all along and as he has pledged to continue doing, he effectively turns the United States into a dictatorship with him as the dictator. Obama has bypassed Congress and issued 95 Executive Orders so far, with many more to come as he has said so himself. These are not the acts of an American President, they are the acts of an American Dictator and it is difficult to imagine a more serious threat to freedom and democracy in the United States than this.

      Obama consolidating power is not a surprise just as power was grabbed under NDAA by Republicans who proposed it. 

      Unfortunately, Newt, Romney, and Santorum would all do the same as Obama and grab more power to further along their agenda. 

      Wake up folks, none of these clowns will do anything different than Obama. 

      Ron Paul is the only candidate speaking about returning Government back to the Constitution and its divided powers. 

      Regardless of whom you vote for, be awake and ready because hard times America has never seen are coming. The top will soon come down like we have never seen. Coming soon to a city near you.

      MS-GlenNBC: While I’m certainly no Gingrich fan, I can see hypocrisy when it’s present and this is a prime example of it.

      Best case scenario is that the establishment doesn’t believe Gingrich is electable therefore they are piling on.

      Anyway, Dr. Paul is the best hope for America.. and I don‘t believe he’s articulate enough to survive the debates any longer. He’s definitely right on principle. Maybe his son Rand and can lead the Conservative movement in 2016? Or will be destroyed by Obama’s Czars before then? lol Don’t know if we can wait for Rand.

      I don’t want the Federal Government “leaner, quicker, and more responsive to the needs of the American people”. When carnivorous and greedy executive power is on the prowl, a legislative counterbalance creates a godsend stumbling block dismissed derisively by élites as gridlock.

      The term itself is fine but the intent behind those who declare it isn’t. Knowing what I know about the intents and purposes of this statist president I am prepared to celebrate gridlock as a high sacrament of this republic.

      When I listen to Obama talk I keep thinking this guy sounds like a real know it all. Where have I herd this kind of B.S. Then it hit me, Cliff from Cheers? Yes that’s it, he is Cliff as president. What a nightmare! Then I remembered a song that was I recorded about 8 years ago that fit him perfectly. I dedicate this to Obama.       Have to take issue with this statement. Whenever you see something that is so outrageous and so unconstitutional you must immediately think Jewish Apartheid. Although Senator Levin used McCain as a crutch to sponsor the bill, it was Levin’s bill.

      McCain is a puppet similar to Beck. It’s very likely that Cindy Hensley was Jewish given her father’s involvement in the Jewish Mafia around Vegas. Nevertheless, McCain’s connection to the Mafia through his father n law is well worth the study. Personally I simply can’t get over how big Jews were in the Mafia when in almost every movie they produce the Mafia gangsters were almost all Italian. Isn’t that amazing? I was watching Dustin Hoffman the other night playing a role as an Italian Mafia syndicate in Chicago and I was like damn.. How can they get away with this? It is amazing.

      Anyway, it was the Jewish Carl Levin who sponsored the updated NDAA.

      I think it’s more likely a justification after the fact–demanding for Congress to ratify the power grab that has already taken place–just to make it official, yaknow. He is functioning as a virtual dictator already, governing by “executive order”, without any Congressional ratification or oversight, which, I might add, is TOTALLY unconstitutional. I heard him mention “I’m going to issue an executive order” in his speech last night, as though that is just the normal way for things to get done.

      This Liar in Chief has already stolen power from the Congress and set himself up to be Dictator for Life. If he sees he cannot win in November, I foresee a suspension of elections and martial law to prevent him being removed from office.

      It really bothered me that the Democrats last night just looked absolutely thrilled and mesmerized at everything Obama said. One news commentator described Obama’s speech as awesome. They are all singing his praises. Just watch them as they speak of him. They have a glaze about them. It is really scary. I believe they would allow him to become a dictator if they could make it happen. Please, everyone, whoever the GOP nominee is, whether you like him or not, please get behind him. We cannot allow this to happen in our Country.

      Maybe one day we will get back to the constitution, and also do away with the Fed. Most of the GOP hopefuls are in one accord on this, now which ones mean what they say, time will tell. The one thing that set Dr Ron Paul apart is he feels nothing that happens around the world affects us here in America, and we should ignore what goes on around the world, that it is none of our business. He also does not have a problem with Iran having nukes. The same Iran who’s dictator took Americans hostage, and has killed American citizians. For those Dr. Ron Paul supporters that are about to say that’s not true. Yes it is he has stated these things many times and has not changes his stance on the issue. He has no foreign policy what so ever. To disregard the rest of the world like he wants to do will put America in harms way, and set us up for an attack here in America that will make 9/11 look like small potatoes. Now I like Dr. Ron Paul on just about every other issue, but I can not and will not support him for President, and he is the only one that would make me vote Obama, and that would be a catastrophic to America, for Obama to be reelected.

      Look at Glenn’s new video, it, too, has a misspelling. The word idly is misspelled in the on-screen text. I’m sure they spent a few GBTV bucks on that one and truly delivered a great message.       @River: It doesn’t depend on an election. The Congress does have the ability to remove a sitting president. It‘s to bad they won’t exercise that ability, mostly because the Senate has to approve as well and the D’s will not vote against one of their own, just like the R‘s won’t vote against one of their own.

Holder is attracting your attention wirth his law suits against states enforcing federal immigration law, and Voter ID (already approved by SCOTUS), Napolitano is grabbing more and more power for her TSA agents. NDAA is allowing them to arrest you without charges, enter your property without a warrant, incarcerate you without a hearing.
      While we are watching one hand the other hand is taking more and more of our freedoms and we are letting them do it and feeling so secure.

      Impeach for what? Congress can delegate power to the President if it chooses. Thus, if Congress grants him this power, it is perfectly legal. On the other hand, it can choose not to grant the authority. That is how our legal system works. If it happens to be granted, Congress can then revoke the power in the future.

      Obama is governing like a dictator and it is obvious he wants to be Dictator of the United States instead of President of the United States.

      Presidential power in the U.S. has limitations and fetters and American Presidents have to compromise and work in concert with fellow legislators to achieve their ends. Presidents are also bound by the rule of law and have to work within it. Dictators have no such restrictions.

      When Obama says he can’t wait for the rule of law to implement his agenda as he did earlier this week he rejects the entire American political system and places it in jeopardy. When Obama governs by Executive Order instead of by Legislative Fiat, as he has done all along and as he has pledged to continue doing, he effectively turns the United States into a dictatorship with him as the dictator. Obama has bypassed Congress and issued 95 Executive Orders so far, with many more to come as he has said so himself. These are not the acts of an American President, they are the acts of an American Dictator and it is difficult to imagine a more serious threat to freedom and democracy in the United States than this.

      What’s next, an attempt to cancel the 2012 Presidential election? Don’t put it past him.

      Congress must stop him in his tracks and re-establish the rule of law, constitutional authority and the system of checks and balances and separation of powers.

It is to protect, not to provide; for if the state is granted the power to provide for some, it must also be able to take from others, and that always leads to legalized plunder and loss of freedom.       @Monicne-encinoM, I meant to say that as an individual, Romney pays a much much higher rate. I’m sure it is a rate that you wish you were paying, just to be doing your “fair share” and all. You shouldn’t hate the rich, I mean, I realize that you may believe there is a set in stone finite amount of wealth in the world and some people put their hands too deep into the cookie jar and take more than their “fair share”–therefore, you feel that others would have more if they had less. It is not a symbiotic relationship here, the rich do not need to have their wealth confiscated and turned into something of lesser value. They can survive without this parastism; however, the parasite cannot survive without the host, so I am baffled when I see you and your socialist ilk biting the hand which feeds you.
      By the way, the Constitution has 18 enumerated powers and it is within the federal gov’ts jurisdiction to only make and enforce laws accordingly whether they are constitutional. If they wish to change the constitutuion (like making laws pertaining to a national/universal healthcare program, i.e., Obamacare) then they can do it. It was not designed so that it could never be changed, that is what the amendment process is all about, which brings the states into play, you know, us–”the people.” Also, it is not the SCOTUS’s job to “interpret” the law, it is their job to rule accordingly based on whether the law is CONSTITUTIONAL.

BO wants to be a dictator so bad he can taste it. he wants to be our hugo chavez. just think what HE WILL DO if reelected. what he said last night should Worry every American. we need to keep control of the house and take control of the senate this november. if the dems take over both houses we will lose our country for good and they will give BO all the power. be afraid America be very afraid. support the GOP nom no matter who it is.

    I believe that only individuals have rights, not the collective group; that these rights are intrinsic to each individual, not granted by the state; for if the state has the power to grant them, it also has the power to deny them, and that is incompatible with personal liberty.
    I believe that a just state derives its power solely from its citizens. Therefore, the state must never presume to do anything beyond what individual citizens also have the right to do. Otherwise, the state is a power unto itself and becomes the master instead of the servant of society.

    Obama wants to be a dictator and he is slowly moving in that direction. He smiles as he dismantles the constitution and takes away our rights. He is doing it, after all, ‘for our own good’…. The man is a dangerous animal. He is not American nor is he even the owner of a western mind. Obama is not American. He has no understanding of our constitution and he hates it. Obama is a white hating black and he is a Chicago thug. He should not be in the position he occupies.

      About a week ago, posted I was aware of Obama’s body-language seemed more relaxed….good grief he was singing for his food with that tune and that disturbing smile of his…well after this “screw you America, without a kiss”,SOTU, my night-mare feeling has come true.
      Republican candidates…knock-off the snotty-nose-pointing-fingers-and the na-na-na-na-na-na! MAN-UP. The story of the orphan eagle raised by the farm chickens and all day long scratched & clucked with the other chickens. One day the eagle looked up and saw a magnificent bird-soaring in the heavens and asked his mom(this is my story so the birds talk) why he coundn’t fly like that magnificent bird and the mom replied,”you are just a chicken and chickens don’t soar like an eagle”. The eagle believed he could never soar like this eagle because he was told he was a chicken.
      Obama, the chicken he is, just sings for his supper and it is provided. We need a republican-candidate who will fly out of the barnyard and SOAR LIKE A EAGLE!

      I agree, if this goes through what was fought for in the Revolutionary War and in WWII will disappear.

      I see a potential issue between what the president said and the checks and balances of the government system. The checks and balances were put there FOR A REASON, if the president can‘t follow them he’s got NO business being president. It’s time he left.
