This Is the Pro-Christian, Anti-Obama & Anti-Gay Marriage Letter That Actor Brad Pitt’s Mother Wrote to a Local Newspaper

Considering their overwhelming support for gay marriage and President Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt probably won’t be too happy about this story. The Springfield News-Leader, a newspaper in Springfield, Missouri, has confirmed that an anti-Obama, anti-gay marriage letter that urges Christians to vote for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was penned by Pitt’s mother, Jane Pitt.
In her note, Pitt responded to another writer’s post that was critical of Romney and Mormonism. In her brief letter, she claimed that she’s a Christian and she urged other believers to strongly consider voting for the GOP candidate, despite potential ideological differences concerning his theology.
“I think any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon,” she wrote.
But the letter went beyond merely supporting Romney. Pitt also spent some time explaining her reasons for opposing President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
“Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage,” Pitt continued.
She went on to, again, urge Christians to pray about their vote, calling the ability to choose a candidate in a democracy a “sacred privilege and a serious responsibility.”
Initially, the newspaper included an editor’s note that denied that the writer was the mother of the famed actor. But, later, a new note was posted that proclaims that the paper confirmed this fact after all. It reads, ”To clear up earlier confusion, the News-Leader has verified the letter writer is the mother of actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt.”
Brad Pitt, who once claimed that he and Jolie would refrain from marrying until gay matrimonies are legalized across the U.S., clearly disagrees with his mother’s take on homosexuality.
Pitt and Jolie announced their engagement in April following a seven-year relationship and six children. So far, they haven’t commented on the newspaper article in question.

If not for the intimidation, black listing, and general indoctrination Brad Pitt would be one of the few conservatives in Hollywood. I‘m sure he thinks he’s doing right by humanity and certainly dumps tons of money into charitable causes. Unfortunately he also espouses social stances that work against the foundation of our country and the Christian majority that supports it.

Just because they can read lines and act doesn’t mean that they should be endorsing anything. Further, why is it that they believe that their opinion counts more than ours, or that we should just follow them blindly? It’s a joke. I’ve watched Brad Pitt on several talk shows and, personally, while he’s quite attractive, I really think he should see the Wizard so he can get a brain. He lives with Angelina Jolie without the benefit of marriage and has sired several children with her. Obviously, a paragon of virtue. The fact that brainless, immoral Hollywood types are campaigning for the Liar in Chief is just one more reason not to vote for him. While George Clooney is also handsome and rather outspoken on the issues, and even though Clooney has a brain, he’s SO RED that I refuse to watch any of his movies. Neither do I watch any of Pitt’s. You see, the only thing that can make these folks irrelevant and teach them that their arrogance comes with a price is lack of sales at the box office. If we only saw good, clean movies with Conservative actors and acresses, we’d put these idiots out of business which is really what we all ought to do. Bravo for Pitts’ mother. For you to assume we don’t like our kids, or ARE AGAINST THEM, if they don’t believe as we do, is to signal to the world that you are indeed small-minded. My oldest child, now in his 30′s had a huge challenge with drug use at one time. The Bible is pretty clear to set no unclean thing before your eyes and congregations are full of people talking about how great the latest movie was. Even playing some (swear words included) in church for a teenage party. When mentioned by a father his daughter leaned over and said “Dad, it’s not that bad.” I can remember what someone else said about that once:

Sorry folks, but the fact is many of these “lost souls” belong to us. They are the “losers” that they are because of “us”. No time for “buck passing”
I happened upon a show called DUI, it followed law officers stopping drunk drivers. The drunks were all 20 somethings. All of them called their parents to make put up the bind to get them out of jail. All of the parents bailed out the “little darlings” with comments to the effect of oh you poor baby
What struck me, was this…. had I been busted for drunk drivng, I have no doubt, my parents would have told me “too bad, so sad” you will stay there until your court date or you can come up with the bond yourself.
Guess what, I never thought about doing anything to get in trouble because I understood there would be consequences and my parents would not rescue me from them.
Here is another harsh truth, many of the OWSers are our children….. We are feeding, clothing, paying their cell phone bill, paying their rent, student loams…..WHY???
If your kids are under the age of 25 and don’t hate you, you are a rotten parent. We are not supposed to be popular with our kids, we are supposed to train (raise) them. Hard job. Many of us have and are failing-even those here

So the Catholic church of today is a very different thing than when it started and is no longer true to the Word of God. Other denominations have compromised as well so it is not a prejudice against Catholics or any other denomination. But the question here is not whether you are a Catholic or a Baptist or a Mormon, etc., though that is a very important question. The question here is whether or not you are going to let the fact that Mitt Romney is a Mormon keep you from voting to save America.

We are well past the time when choosing our candidates was a simple matter of “differing views”. That term was for a time when most people wanted what was best for America as it was founded but had . “differing views” about how to accomplish that. We now have a party who is intent on “fundamentally transforming” our country into something it was never intended to be.
We don’t need to “reach across the aisle” or “compromise”. We need to root out this cancer which has wormed it’s way into our government with the intention of destroying everything our founders created for us.
