This Is What Happens When You Plow a Turbo Porsche Straight Into a Convenience Store

Seriously, what is it about nice (and we mean really nice) cars that makes people crash them into things?

For instance, the following video shot at a Turkish gas station features the Porsche 911 Turbo. It’s a beautiful car. Nay, it’s a wonderful car. For something this nice, you’d assume the woman driving it would be cautious and responsible, right?

Ha-ha, just kidding.

Watch what happens when you put something as powerful as the Porsche 911 in the hands of someone who manages to confuse the brake and the accelerator (simple mistake, we know):

Thankfully, and on a more serious note, no one was seriously harmed.

“[T]he two young women left the scene of the accident by taxi, wrapped in red sheets to avoid photographersi [sic]. We sincerely hope for the sake of both Turkish motorists and other Turbo Porsches in the country the driver of this out of control P-car sticks to being driven by somebody else for a while,” writes Jalopnik’s Tom Joslin.

    c’mon guyz give the gal a break (brake) when performance driving a porsche its slow in the corner and fast out ,.. she was just confused and thought it said fast in and no outs lol

    clean up on aisle 2,3,4,5,6,7,8

    Isn’t Turkey Islamic? I thought women couldn’t drive there. Actually that sounds quite wise when you think about it.

      Some people just do not belong behind the wheel of a car….. It also makes me angry that the people that can afford these nice cars, can,t drive them…. Lohan comes to mind, do you know how many beautiful cars she has crashed?

    Even my large cat named Turbo because of when he was a kitten was not able to cause this much of a disturbance or Turbulence.

    A relative of mine once got too drunk to drive and the spousal unit, who did not know how to drive & had no license, drove….. into the side of the local Police Department building. Never lived that one down.

    OK, 2 Porsche stories in as many days. Wasn’t going to mention this after the first but now I have to.
    (Own a couple, restored a bunch), it’s pronounced “Poor-sha”, two syllables.
    Live it. Know it. Love it.
    I have always felt that the reason Germany went as far as it did in WW2 despite being a small country was engineering ability more than anything else.
    However just because you build the best designed & most successful sports car in history, you can’t control who may be driving,

    In aviation, it’s “Pilot Error”. In a Porsche sedan, all fours in a convenience store, it’s “OVERDRIVE.” Or for those of the low performance capability driving a high performance vehicle, it’s called driving by ear, since the driver’s eyes are locked shut due abject fear. Cleanup on all aisles and the left front seat cover.

    In the photo it appears if the driver would have reached out his window and up to his left he could grab some Bayer Aspirin. Seems appropriate to stop at end of that display.

    Why does this happen? It‘s because people can’t handle powerful cars, which take skill and practice to drive. Then of course, it hardly takes any skill to differentiate a brake from an accelerator pedal. She must have been texting or under the influence. Or just stupid.
