This is What it Sounds Like When an Intruder and Homeowner Call 911 on Each Other

Be prepared to chuckle.

A homeowner in Portland, OR called police recently after she came home and found an intruder had broken in and was taking a shower in her bathroom. The irony, the crook called police too, afraid that the homeowner might have a gun.

The hilarious 911 calls are below:

Lt. Kelli Sheffer says the intruder told police he had just broken into a home Monday evening when the owner arrived – and the caller was worried the homeowner might have a gun.

Accompanied by his two German Shepherds, the homeowner found the intruder and asked what he was doing in the house. That’s when the stranger locked himself in a bathroom and phoned police.

The homeowner called police with his account.

Sheffer says 24-year-old Timothy James Chapek, of Portland, was booked into jail for investigation of first-degree criminal trespass.

The Associate Press contributed to this report.

It’s journalistically irresponsible and bigoted for The Blaze, via ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, AP and any other media to release a bigoted 911 recording without editing out the bigotry. In this news release, a 911 operator is using the political label, “Hispanic,” as a racial category that could be distinguished from white, black, or Asian. Such a distinction is factually impossible and bigoted.

In addition, by airing the bigoted conclusions of the 911 operator, the Blaze Post is promoting and proliferating the bigoted concept that the political label “Hispanic” is, in some way, a racial or ethnic category distinguishable from white, black, or Asian.

If one has learned anything from the latest 2010 Census one has learned this: the word “Hispanic,” including the political use of the word, does not in any way equate to race or the physical description of individuals. The premise in this news piece is clear: In the United States, if one is describe as “Hispanic” then one must have the same biological features and physical characteristics as everyone else described as “Hispanic”.

Latin Americans are as diverse as non Latin Americans, and it is impossible to describe them as having similar features or physical characteristics. It’s striking that all over the United States, the police don’t seem to be messing with the meaning of the word “Anglo”.

So why are the police messing with the word “Hispanic?” Both labels– “Anglo” and “Hispanic” –have the same historical meaning– white European– and both words represent European countries with a proud history of accomplishments. So why then is The Blaze, via other media, respecting “Anglo” America while at the same time opportunistically proliferating and encouraging the stereotyping of the meaning of the word “Hispanic”?

Let me think about this … a guy breaks into a home, gets caught and calls the government for help, hummm, you don’t suppose he voted for you know whom?

Don‘t forget that the turd violated that woman’s home – regardless of stupidity (obviously). He was afraid the woman (home owner) had a gun. In a way, the sound of three or four loud bangs while the fellow was talking on the phone might have been restful in the long run. Or, even better, the sound of the two german shepherds joining the fellow in the shower might have been a great way to rehabilitate this stupid, ;yet violator of the woman’s castle. Not really funny “ha, ha”, but sad. Don’t let the apparent humor of the stupidity overshadow the frightening violation of a home. I see a great many home owners who were physically violated by such people each year in the ER. Apply consequences for gross behavior, not awards for comedy.

I wish every household had a gun… then we’d have more stupid criminals calling the police on themselves with fluids leaking out of their pants.

My aunt used to have trouble with people trespassing and go right up to her trailer. When she was made aware of someone outside she would quietly crank the window open and wait for them to get up close and then start pumping her shotgun. They would run so fast off her land she didn’t have to waste any ammo.
It is amazing how people just seem to think it is ok to go onto other peoples property and help themselves. I have run off so many people, it’s amazing, doesn’t matter if in the city or in a rural setting. I have even had people just come out and say they were just looking around as they were helping themselves to things in my yard and garden. I just found out today that even with “no trespassing” signs up marking our property, that earlier today 2 people were found well past the signs walking around- snooping and did not want to leave right away even after being caught and told to go. They walked right by the signs ignoring them.

I would have blasted that idiot and then grabbed a kitchen blade and cut myself on the hand.
After that I would have planted the blade In his hand.

Apparently he only was afraid, “because there might be guns in the house.” Hmmm. What can we all learn from this scenario?

shouldn’t breaking into someones home be an “at your own risk” kind of thing??

If they have a gun, well, too bad for you, you should have thought of that first

Unfortunately, the victim (homeowner), would most likely be the one facing prison time if she had shot him, or released her dog on him.

sorry, the American Christian lady of this household would have shot that potential killer right thru the bathroom door. simple as that. BEEN THERE DONE THAT for her when she interrupted a burglar in the past in the dining room and she was NOT armed. it was a life-scarring experience. she has always said next time, it’s shoot first, not call 911. or try to negotiate for Life.

Reports are this guy just got out of jail that morning. They booked him, released him and then he didn’t show up for court.

It would have been a much different headline had I come across him in my home. His greatest fears would have been validated.
