Thug Pummeled After Attempting to Mug Chicago Man Who Turns Out to Be an MMA Fighter

 

Chicago Convict Wrecked By MMA Fighter He Attempted to Mug | Anthony Miranda

One convict will think twice before attempting to mug anyone again.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that 24-year-old Anthony Miranda allegedly pulled a gun on a driver in a parked car on the Southwest Side of Chicago Friday night.

The thug ended up with two black eyes and a gunshot wound to the ankle.

The intended victim…turned out to be an MMA fighter.

The Sun-Times reports on the Cook County man who now faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated discharge of a firearm, a Class X felony:

“After getting some money, he ordered the driver out of the car, police News Affairs Officer John Mirabelli said.

At some point, Miranda’s attention was diverted and the victim was able to grab control of the gun and the two wrestled.

During the fight, Miranda accidentally discharged his gun, shooting himself in the ankle, Mirabelli said.

The victim, who told police he’s a martial arts expert and ultimate fighting champion was able to pin Miranda down until police arrived. Police arrived to find Miranda with a face full of cuts and two black eyes.

Miranda had originally asked the man, whose name the police have yet not released, for lighter.

Fox Chicago reports that Miranda has had several convictions in the past, including at least one for a residential burglary. The 24-year-old was taken to the hospital Friday night and ordered held on $350,000 bond Sunday.

      I want to know where this guy bought the gun. This is the point where you don’t hear any fallow up reporting as to the firearm possession charge. Was he charged? We should see a story about how athorities are fallowing through and enforcing the 2000 gun laws we have on the books. Instead, this will be used to fill some statistic to prove why we need even more gun laws. by the way, nice beat down, kudos to that fine citizen that stood his ground.

      THis sounds like an article I read about a year ago about a 73 year old grandmother. As she was being held up by a druggie she put her hand in her coat pocket and just lifted the pocket and shot the guy in the stomach. The lady was a crummy shot because he survived. Last I heard was the District Attourney was taking legal action because she used excessive force and didn’t have a carry permit.

      I love stories like this just as much as when someone breaks into a house and they are shot by the home owner, maybe if there is more stories like this we wouldn’t have a full prison system, and a lot of innocent people getting hurt by these Barbarians.

      He was able to acquire the gun directly from thugs at Eric Holder’s Injustice Dept. Some kind of gun running operation called Fast & Furious or something like that.. And no, there won’t be any charges filed against this guy for illegal gun possession.

      Just another day in the life of MMA member fighting the falsehoods that fuel people like this guy to act as he did. He felt that he, as an individual, had the right to take whatever he could from whomever he could, rather than understanding that collectively we Americans have to work for everyone’s benefit, not just that of the individual. This kind of crime is all but nonexistant in asian cultures because they see the effects of their actions on their peers and on entire country. But in America some take the “superman” Ayn Rand position that whatever a person can take from another is moral. Those people don’t care if they are enriching themselves at the expense of others.       Funny, I’ve read the preamble. I know what the government was constitutionally supposed to do for us and what it’s supposed to protect us from.

      I was more less looking for something from the founders stating that men should go to work at no benefit for themselves but for the express purpose of benefitting society as you claim.

      I asked you on another post but will ask here. Do you only hold disdain for the conservative fraction of the one percent or does that hatred also apply to the liberal fraction.

      I don’t have much time to post here any longer but when I get a chance I will find some of our founders quotes. If you actually believe what you are advocating, from each according to their abilities – to each according to their needs, you know little about our founders.

      No… It’s because criminals like this are put to death in Asia… When criminals know that their actions will at least lead to actual hard time in a real prison (which is a death sentence), that is a huge deterrent for criminal action… Same thing goes for the middle east… Criminals in the U.S., on the other hand, know that bleeding heart liberals, like yourself, will take care of them in the country clubs we call prison…

      If he looks ‘yellow’ it‘s because he’s a coward who has to hide behind a gun! And yes, this does just go to show that gun laws are useless because they only prevent law-abiding citizens from having them! I did a report in high school about gun control – there’s a town in Illinois where guns were completely outlawed and crime rates sky-rocketed. In Kennesaw, GA, it is (basically) illegal NOT to own a gun (most everyone has them!) and their crime rate went to pretty much ZERO! Duh! If you know there’s a chance YOU are gonna get shot, the chances of you committing a crime go down – it’s called INSTANT DEATH PENALTY! I personally have several firearms (I live in Louisiana) and am getting my carry-conceal permit. My 76-yo parents have their carry-conceal permits and are ALWAYS packing! Watch out for those seniors wearing fanny-packs!

      In Texas you’re allowed to carry a gun in your car, whether you have a CCL or not.

      That thug would have had a chalk line drawn around him rather than his mugshot taken.

      The MMA fighter held back. Most injuries look kind of superficial to me. I would have liked to see a crooked nose and a broken jaw to go along with the rest of it.

      Did a little research; Anthony Miranda is a convicted felon. Lawyers and judges just keep returning these thugs to the streets. They usually end up killing someone.

      Anthony Miranda looked a lot prettier in his previous mug shots. That MMA fighter sure did a number on his face. All thugs deserve a little facial reconstruction like this.

      It’s an MMA technique, you’d call it a “sleeper hold” :) it’s technical name is a “rear naked choke”… it has nothing to do with being naked, the word “naked” means you choke him without using anything you or he is wearing such as a shirt or (karate outfit) “gi” or dobok”.
