Tim Tebow Teaches Thousands of Congregants at Las Vegas Church How to ‘Tebow’

While the football season may be over for Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow, the 24-year-old outspoken Christian took some time out on Saturday and Sunday to speak at Canyon Ridge Church in Las Vegas, Nevada. Aside from discussing his football career, Tebow delved into his faith and the “Tebowing” phenomenon that has taken the world by storm.
“I’d run to the corner of the end zone, I’d do my last final stretch, I’d pray and I’d get up and do like three or four jumps and I’d sprint down the sidelines, and then I’d have like one or two cuts,” Tebow told the audience, describing how the “Tebowing” phenomenon first began. “And that was like my final routine and it was like, ‘game on.’”

“I am sure I am not the first athlete to pray though,” Tebow told the audience. “What is funny is I have been doing this exact same routine for the last seven years and this is the first [time] people started talking about it and it became a thing.”
In the end, Tebow had the potential to connect with nearly 20,000 people, as he was invited to speak at four worship services throughout the weekend. The church hopes that his talks served as an outreach to non-Christians in the community.
Tebow’s appearance were conducted in an interview format, as Kevin Oder, Canyon Ridge’s senior pastor, asked the player questions about a variety of subjects. The format was specifically chosen, according to Oder, to allow for the audience to learn a structured set of information about one of football’s biggest names.
Below, watch Tebow teach Oder and congregants his famous prayer stance (i.e. “Tebowing”):
“He gets really fired up when he preaches, just like he does on the football field,” Oder explained. “I could just hand him the ball and let him run, but I think in an interview format we‘ll be able to get to understand him more as a person and he’ll say a few things that he might not necessarily say when he’s preaching.”

Posted on April 16, 2012 at 11:47amHey, it was about Sunday. The nation would be much better off of more attention was paid to what happens in Bible believing churches on Sunday. We need to get back to the Word of God found in the Bible. It’s precepts and principles can do much to rectify the many societal problems facing us today. Proverbs tells is, “The fear ofnthe Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”

Posted on March 6, 2012 at 10:07amRon Paul discussed a conversation he had with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow while discussing homeschooling at a campaign event Monday night.
At a town hall discussion at the Civic Auditorium of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Paul spoke on his pro-homeschooling views, saying arguments that homeschooled children receive inadequate education have been disproven.
He then mentioned his conversation with Tebow, in reference to an argument that homeschooled kids don’t get the chance to participate in sports.
“You know I was talking to a football player the other day and I think he’s rather famous now,” he said. “I think it’s Tim Tebow, something like that, and of course, of course most people know he was homeschooled and he’s doing pretty well for himself.”
The Paul campaign told Fox News Tebow’s manager, who is a Paul supporter, arranged a friendly phone call between the Republican candidate and the NFL star.
On the eve of Idaho‘s caucus as part of the ’Super Tuesday’ contests, Paul said he enthusiastically believed his campaign ‘had to do well tomorrow’ in Idaho based on the event’s turnout.
“We expect to do very, very well,” he said. “I don‘t make bold predictions but there’s no reason in the world we cannot win this state, so I suspect we are going to do exceptionally well and I thank you, thank so much for all your hard efforts.”

Posted on March 6, 2012 at 8:44amToo use the often mis-used term “pray,” pray tell me about the Reality of Prayer! As I understand it, God cannot, and does not adjust to the whims of mankind, but, one can find, and experience results by adjusting to the Justice of God. As I understand it, when one confesses his/her sins to God (notice to GOD), the chemicals in the body cause a healing effect that can heal the mind, or body! Bring it on!

Posted on March 6, 2012 at 8:09amThere are legitmate questions about his ablility to perform in the NFL. There really is nothing about him that I find worthy of the vitriol though. I think it’s the light of Christ that shines in him that sends the cockroaches scurrying for their dark corners.

Posted on March 5, 2012 at 10:53pmWOW!!! That is about the dumbest reply I have seen on here! I don’t pretend to be an NFL QB like Tebow does! He is only there because of his whole publicity angle. How is Tebowing any different than any other attention getting display done by any number of players in the league? He found an effective way to get attention…..when you don’t have any talent you better find a way to get noticed! I do give him credit in that he found a way to get an NFL job with CFL talent!

Posted on March 5, 2012 at 9:00pmHave you ever taken the time to research testimonies of people that had after death experiences? Last one I heard the man was dead 20 minutes and wished to come back for his mom’s sake. He came back in the morgue. The doctors had pronounced him DEAD. From my nursing experience in hospice, and from experiences of a fellow college student who worked at the morgue… I can tell you that there is so much more than this dimension. Of course, you can choose not to believe.
