LOS ANGELES (AP) — A toddler has died after falling 50 feet from a luxury suite at the Los Angeles Lakers game against the Golden State Warriors in the Staples Center arena.
Police Sgt. Frank Alvelais says early Monday that the boy, believed to be 2 or 3 years old, was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, where he died. The boy‘s name hasn’t been released.
The boy fell from the third level top tier of the luxury suites several minutes after the Lakers beat the Warriors 117-89 on Sunday night.
Witnesses told the Los Angeles Times the boy was moving his arms, legs and head before paramedics took him out of arena on a stretcher.

NEVER LET THEM OUT OF YOUR SIGHT!

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 4:06pmI have always held my children’s hands in places like this or kept a strict eye on them. I don’t know what to say, the player wouldn’t work for me.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 3:57pmShame on Blaze for even reporting on this story. Pandering at its very worst. This is not news. But there is a reason and Blaze should have seen it.
Once the phony mourning is done, we will see government intrusion and regulation to “save other children from this same sort of negligence.”
Government scumbags are, right now, as we speak cavorting with lawyers and lawmakers and judges and do-gooders. They cavort over the corpse of this child.
And we, and The Blaze, are participating in the sick ritual. We have fallen so very far.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 3:54pmWhere were the parents? Drunk most likely. More concerned about lookin good and the flirt with others that goes along with it. Dumbasses! On the other hand it was basket ball, they might have been in ebonics training. Just goes to show you, don’t support union sports. I know, harsh very harsh.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 3:46pmI have a boy that age and just thinking about being in that situation makes my heart sink. That’s truly a life-destroying moment for so many people. One stupid mistake and a boy is dead and a family (parents, siblings, grandparents) is devastated.

So tragic ,but seriously raises questions of accountability on the part of parents/adults in this VIP box. Why was a toddler at such an event at midnight? This is a baby for heavens sake, anyone knows they must be watched at all times.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 8:37pmSEANPATRIOT Let me guess… you do not have any children. You are a heartless mean spirited person. Why wouldn’t you think about what the parents are going through instead of blaming them. The child is 2 to 3 years old and they could of had other children that distracted them for only a second. Please do not judge before you have all the facts. Also, I 2 to 3 year old could really enjoy basketball and wanted to go to the game.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 3:15pmThis is tragic my heart goes out to the family but where were the parents the responsiblilty of keeping that kid safe should have been on the parents. Not to be an ass but I think the Parents are at fault for the death and should be charged with some form of neglect with the parents getting minimum punishment.

Posted on November 22, 2010 at 3:48pmThe parents got the maximum, undeserved punishment. Their hearts are broken. Pray for them.

Please pray for the couple in their time of grief.
