Why so down on Tom Brokaw? He has always been fair, see’s things clearly & has always been able to make logical analogies. I think his statements have value. Remember, he was a reporter & anchor when the MSM used to be fair & balanced.

Here is the problem with your analysis, Mr. Brokaw…the internet has all mainstream media sites reporting on everything in “their”own “slant”! So how is it that the “people only believe what they read on the internet” when the MAINSTREAM MEDIA, which I might add, includes YOU and the rest of the left leaning NBC, MSNBC stations are doing the “internet” reporting? Isn’t it the job of the “mainstream” media to report only the “true facts” and not their left or right leaning agendas? What the hell ever happened to “real” reporting by “real” journalist? If the media ever started reporting truths and the government ever started telling the truths then the public at large would only have the truths! Would this be too much to expect from any of you??? By the way, it would be a good idea for all journalist to go take a course in spelling and punctuation because they sure as hell don’t know how to do either one!!!

I think what Brokaw is REALLY trying to say is that people shouldn’t believe anything they hear on the Internet “and only listen to what the traditional media wants to spoon-feed them”. Now that people can get a second opinion online, this threatens the traditional media’s ability to shepherd people through selective information.

Every institution wants to maintain its power, and the power of the “Fourth Estate” (i.e. the traditional news media) is directly threatened by losing its the monopoly as the source of information.

Don’t believe anything I hear (without backup) and only half of what I see. Check, double check, then triple check is my motto. The only thing I don‘t have to question is God and that’s because I see Him every time I open my eyes or take a breath.

If we believe everything on the internet, why are the majority of the comments challenging what we read? That doesn’t make sense Tom.
Brokaw probably believes we should accept his opinions that are available on the internet. Should we not believe them?

deda1: It’s just Tom Brokaw showing his usual contempt for the American people who he thinks are stupid. I remember him first coming on the scene, and he’s still twisting the news as a left wing puppet I see. I stopped watching him long ago…thankfully. Went to Fox News about 16 years ago. Haven’t watched anything else since. Perfectly happy with Fox. At least when Fox News says they are fair and balanced, they certainly try to be.

Well Mr. Brokaw I just Obama at another Military Ceremony, why he bothers to go is anybodies guess since he hates our military people, and he did his usual crotch salute. I saw that on the internet and do believe he’s as disrespectful to our military people being honored in life as in death. Here’s another clue, you and people like you think the American public are to stupid to read the paper, talk to other informed people and see the end result. Here’s your wake up call, AMERICAN’s who love this country are turning it around November 2. I look forward to watching you badmouth the outcome and start making a multitude of excuses.

If we read issues in the Internet, we get a balanced view.

If we listen to you, we get a slanted view in favor of Progressive/liberal candidates. This has been happening for 12 years now and greatly magnified since the Chosen one started running for the Presidency.

MR BUTCHER plays straight man again, “you know how i know this is true? I just read it on the internet.”

Only truth to be found on the web is pornography movies. I watch some of those movies and think, “Yep, this is real. Those folks are really doing that. How, I don’t know unless they are contortionists.”

Pornography, no trickery, no fakery, no deceit, that stuff is real and true. Hard to believe but true.

Truth is found in pornography movies. This is the only real truth on the web, your eyes do not lie. We should show more respect for pornography, there is where we find truth.

Yeah, my humor often requires a bit of thinking.

HUGH WILLIAMS scrapes at his barefoot with a stick, “I have seen pictures of Nancy Pelosi’s head on other people’s bodies doing….”

I know. Those left liberals even mess with our pornography. Makes me mad. Worst case of porno deceit by liberals I saw is Al Gore’s head on a sex crazed poodle, having sex with an alpaca. That is just plain sick. I mean, who would have sex with an alpaca? A llama, yeah, but not one of those disgusting alpaca critters.

When left liberals start messing with our internet pornography, we know our world is in a mess. How annoying. If we cannot have faith in pornography being truthful, there is nothing in which to have faith.
