BBC Begins Filming Interviews for Tony Blairs Obituary

Despite being just 58 years of age with no reports of bad health and in seemingly good physical shape, the BBC has moved ahead with filming interviews for the obituary of former Prime Minister Tony Blair. The Sun reports that the decision from BBC executives to begin filming has drawn criticism from many in media and politics alike:

“The ‘ghoulish’ decision to ask former Cabinet colleagues to contribute to the programme about Mr Blair’s life has shocked some within the Labour party.

One Labour source said: ‘It seems in pretty poor taste that the Beeb is already preparing for Tony’s death.

‘He is still a relatively young man who I’m sure has got a lot of years left in him yet.’”

The Labour Party politician lead the UK through a tumultuous ten year period as Prime Minister, presiding over the devolution of the United Kingdom, Good Friday Agreement, War on Terror and the 2005 terrorist bombings on the London public transport system.

Blair had a minor health scare as PM in 2003 when he was rushed to a London hospital after complaining of chest pains and an irregular heart beat.  He was treated for cardioversion, released within 5 hours, and the condition was downplayed down by officials from Number 10 Downing Street. Blair was the youngest person elected prime ministers in nearly 200 years when he entered office in 1997 at the age of 43.

When asked by The Sun about the premature filming, a BBC spokeswoman said: “We don’t comment on obituaries.”

    Although he’s relatively healthy and young, the British healthcare system could take him out on his next visit, so perhaps its wise for the interviews to be done now.

    No biggie. They had practiced the queen mother’s funeral long beforehand (the whole thing!) , and probably have done so with the royal family. There is so much protocol involved that this alleviates the situation.

    I remember a day, maybe two after 911, glued to the Tv and thinking how alone I felt as a country. Wondering why it happened and why nobody was doing anything and then, there on the screen, London’s changing of the guard playing our national anthem. I can not describe how humble that made me feel. It was like they had offered their shoulder to cry on right through the tv. I didn’t feel like we were alone anymore. That is what I will always remember about Tony Blair. Thanks Tony, Thanks London and all the Britt’s that had our backs when we most needed them. I have yours too!

    I hope,sincerely hope,to God this self-satisfied,self-serving lying b@stard gets assassinated,& soon.It would be no less than he deserves after sending many many soldiers to their early deaths on a lie & turning this country into a socialist hellhole with massive unbridled immigration.

    I really admire Tony Blair. I love the Brits and the English. He did great things while in his post. They were lucky to have him.

    It is time for great men in all countries to stand up and say enough is enough. It is time for all great women in all countries to stand up and say my husband says enough is enough. Lets see the world change for the better.

    It seems strange that someone should be interviewed in a way as to say the person they are talking about is already gone. It is common to interview people about their dealings and memories of things done with other people. The only difference is tenses….before death and after. It sounds like they are talking as if Blair is already gone and I say that is dumb.

    It’s too soon; I have heard that he is a candidate for the anti-christ (and you can stop laughing now; I’m not kidding here). He has the perfect credentials and is moving around in the world just exactly as you know who is expected to move and is connected to the right people. The individual speaking about him was not a crack pot. Sorry if I’m offending people, but this is abolutely a correct quote.

    off topic,but i just noticed on one of the advertisements at the top of the screen, is for the rush card, i just wonder if anyone knows who’s card that is?? i do,and he is not a conservative and he hates glenn beck,so it behooves me to see him advertizing here and it really blows my mind to know the blaze is taking his money, russell simmons.

    Nah. Not too soon. I have a degree in video journalism from a top 10 Mass Media university.

    Trust me: they have packages ready for the untimely death of anyone with any media visibility, ready to go at any moment.

    There again, they could just be seeing the writing on the wall. Given their druthers, the “off with their heads” people wouldn‘t’ve hesitated killing Charles and Camilla last year. They may just be seeing that and saying, “Maybe we should be prepared.”

    they must know something we don’t. george soros has a lot of inside information,i wonder if the British government well investigate them the same way they have done Rupert Murdoch. naw,not when the left is involved, the left would have a heart attack if some conservative group tried this,but a long as it is one of their groups,it is okay, do as i say,not as i do, the future of the communist regime.
