Top 5 Brawl Videos of the Month…So Far

You may have noticed that recently there have been a string of “brawl” videos streaking across the internet. We’ve noticed it, and we periodically feature them. It’s hard to pinpoint the cause. Are the fights the result of increasing disrespect, unrest, or the death of reticence. Or, has the age of the easily-accessible video camera only allowed us to capture fights that have always taken place?
We’re not sure. But what we do know is that the videos exist. Some of you might watch them because of the shock value, while others of you might watch because you think the videos are evidence of a larger problem. And for others, the reason might be a combination of both. Whatever the reason, it seems February has already played host to a number of these videos. Instead of bringing them to you one-by-one, we thought we would feature the “top” ones of the month — so far. Here they are.
In a Utah courtroom last week, a murder victim’s brother attacked the killer:
A high school soccer goalie faces felony charges for a fight last week in Live Oak, FL:
The Fresno State women’s college basketball team got in a brawl on the court recently while playing in Louisiana:
Pandemonium erupted at a boy’s high school basketball game near Baltimore:
And finally, some teen girls near Salt Lake City started their own “fight club”:
Considering how frequently these videos are starting to pop up, stay tuned. We’re only eight days into the month.

I saw a cat fight just like the one shown here at my high school back in 1956. Often a fight would break out at football games when I was in school so very long ago.

Posted on February 8, 2011 at 2:41pmI have to agree. There isn’t any more of this “going around”. It’s the media saturation of our society. We see mass amounts of everything all the time with the 24 hour news cycle and now places like YouTube that gives an outlet for every phone or camera. When I was a kid in Junior High (early 60s), girls got in fights but the big difference now is that the kids have phones to record them. They happen in every school in the nation. Now they’re on YouTube and that brings a new kind of notoriety.
I don‘t condone any of this but it’s always been around, just not reported with such intense regularity as now. And frankly, I think it’s driving us all a little nuts.

He shoots his own wife 5 times in the head for no clear reason and he gets 15 years to life? Too bad our “justice” system is more concerned with rehabilitating offenders than offering real justice to the victims and their families. Why can‘t we have real punishment for crimes and carry out the sentences right after they’re handed down? Give this loser the noose and let the brother pull the lever to open the trap door.

Can you imagine what this slumbags thinking would be when he finished his three days.. His brother in law would be waiting in the door of the courthouse, with his 357. You couldn’t push him out the door. I’m sure the brother would be glad to serve his three days. Crime would take a holiday soon.

There are better ways to achieve both but they require planning and dedication. If you aren’t prepared for that, let it go and count on eternal justice.

We feed them violent movies one after another. We feed them songs that glamorize “gangsta” associations, we teach them evolution (survival of the fittest) in the classrooms, we sell them games that curse like sailors with violent and sexual themes, we teach them abortion is just a choice, homosexual marriage is normal. What in the world do you expect? When you teach kids that they are nothing but intelligent animals guess what you get? ANIMALS. And we wonder why are country is crumbling before our very eyes ..
