‘Totally Heterosexual’ Anti-Chick-fil-A Tough Guy Fired for Bullying Drive-Thru Girl

UPDATE: TheBlaze has an exclusive interview with the man seen in the video. You can read our initial story, and his take, here.

It appears Blaze readers weren’t the only ones disgusted by the actions of Adam M. Smith, the grown man who recorded a video of himself berating a female employee at a Chick-fil-A drive-thru in Tucson, Ariz.

It looks like his former employers at Vante were just as displeased:

Vante regrets the unfortunate events that transpired yesterday in Tucson between our former CFO/Treasurer Adam Smith and an employee at Chick-fil-A. Effective immediately, Mr. Smith is no longer an employee of our company.

The actions of Mr. Smith do not reflect our corporate values in any manner. Vante is an equal opportunity company with a diverse workforce, which holds diverse opinions. We respect the right of our employees and all Americans to hold and express their personal opinions, however, we also expect our company officers to behave in a manner commensurate with their position and in a respectful fashion that conveys these values of civility with others.

We hope that the general population does not hold Mr. Smith’s actions against Vante and its employees.

As TheBlaze’s Mike Opelka noted this morning, Smith believes the chicken chain is really hateful. So, naturally, he decided to record himself harassing a Chick-fil-A employee for having the nerve to work for such a “horrible” company.

After pulling up to the window and getting his free water, the tough guy activist proceeded to harangue the remarkably calm young woman. At one point, he even asked her how she can “live with herself” knowing that she works for such hateful people.

After enduring her almost backbreaking politeness, Smith felt it was necessary to end with these words: “I’m a nice guy, by the way… totally heterosexual. Not a gay in me, I just can’t stand the hate.”

Huh. Well, alright then:

Smith must have thought he scored a major victory because he put the video on Youtube. However, contrary to whatever was going through his mind, it turns out most people don’t think bullying a woman who’s just trying to make a living is manly or cool. He tried to pull the video but — surprise! — once you put that stuff online, it’s there forever.

All is not lost for Smith, however. He still has his gig as an Adjunct Lecturer at Eller College in Arizona. As to how long that will last, time will tell.

UPDATE: Did we speak t0o soon? In his original report, TheBlaze’s Mike Opelka included a working hyperlink to Smith’s page on Eller’s website. But now, when you click on the link, all you get is this:

Anti Chick fil A Tough Guy Fired for Bullying Drive Thru Girl

And just to prove we’re not crazy, if you Google Smith’s name along with his job title at Eller, you’ll get this in your search results:

Anti Chick fil A Tough Guy Fired for Bullying Drive Thru GirlBut if you click on the search return, all you get is “Page not found.” Did Smith lose his Adjunct Lecturer job at Eller college?

UPDATE II — Well, we got an answer to the Adjunct Lecturer question. Via The University of Arizona:

Adam Smith held an appointment as an Adjunct Lecturer, Finance (non-tenure eligible) in the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona from January 2, 2012, to May 20, 2012. He presently holds no appointment with the University.

The University of Arizona strives to provide an environment where a free and respectful exchange of ideas is valued and encouraged. We strive to have a workforce that is diverse and respectful of different viewpoints and where opinions are respected.

Wow! Chick-fil-A has an awesome employee in that woman! She showed incredible poise and self-possession (for those of you who recognize my username, no, this isn’t sarcasm). That girl is good.
She was polite despite his provocation, refused to engage him in a discussion that had no place at her station, and without saying a single negative word put him in his place. I’ll think this video will become a classic instruction video on how to handle obnoxious and aggressive customers.

As for the other guy, for starters, he’s a complete jerk. His idea I guess was that he could rattle and provoke someone half his age. What a loser, what an f- idiot. If this guy can’t get a job or a date for the next ten years he deserves it. This is like some you’d see in a movie with this guy being the ultimate *****. Pathetic.

I hope he doesn’t get a job for awhile so he can reflect on what a pathetic person he is. The Chick-fil-A employee though? You can be sure with her poise and class she’s going places. She’s ten times the human being that idiot is or will ever be.

[She showed incredible poise and self-possession (for those of you who recognize my username, no, this isn’t sarcasm)]
1- Self-possession is a rhetorical term in parapsychology for demon worship. Of course you learned this fact while attending a Satanism 101 class in Chile.
2- As for “those of you who recognize my username”, who do you think you are? Some kind of God? Some kind of existential glorified self-proclaimed Master of all that is known to Mankind and the Universe?

While The Blaze was accurate about Adam M. Smith being fired, they have grossly misreported the event that occurred in that YouTube video. Mr. Smith was in NO way harassing Rachel when he peacefully declared Chick-Fil-A as “a horrible corporation with horrible values” (which is, of course, true); in fact, he even said that SHE DESERVED BETTER. If supporting an eatery that funnels part of their money to anti-homosexual organizations is considered “supporting free speech” while launching criticism towards said eatery is considered “berating,” then it’s real obvious that the First Amendment right to free speech is of no real importance for those that express dissent towards a viewpoint. Having said this, I’m expecting to be on the receiving end of the neo-conservatives’ ad-hominem attacks such as “Mr. Oshawott, you’re nothing but a left-wing Democrat troll” or straw-man arguments like “Mr. Oshawott, you just want to deny Chick-Fil-A the right to free speech,” but I couldn’t care less, as they are without proof of any sort.

I get the corporate distance. Conservatives proved we have impact in the corporate world. I don’t get the college angle. They have never cared what we thought or felt. My marriage is a covenant with God, the only thing the State did was tax me for the paperwork! Gays want to marry? I don’t care. Let them do it through the State, not the Bible. Call it a Civil Union. Whatever. Just, don’t call it marriage. And don’t try to make it Biblical. My two best friends are gay. My son’s best friend is gay. I love them all. I’m certainly not trying to start an argument here; quite the opposite, trying to make people think. Let me say upfront that I agree with everyone as to how odious this guy’s actions were, however, I have to add that as much as everyone here SAY that they are for free speech, all of you seem to have no problem that this creep’s right to free speech has been abused. What one says or does on Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and the like should not be impinged upon. If something they say leads to their arrest, a lawsuit, or a beat down (which this guy obviously deserves), that’s another story, but free speech should remain free speech for all, whether it be students, grown ups or jerks. His firing, though seemingly to be his just deserts, was totally uncalled for, unless he associated his company name with his posting.

Unfortunately, Smith likely just made his debut to all of the hate-organizers out there. He’ll likely triple his salary once he is recruited by SEIU, the DNC… the libs are probably knocking down his door to sign him on.

When is the LGBT and Mayor Emmanuel going to have a kiss-in at the Nation of Islam headquarters? Will the mayor try to run Farakahn out of town? Have you heard their views on Homosexuality? The Chick Fil A COO was expressing an opinion about how marriage is defined yet he expects that all customers are treated with respect regardless however Islamist would put homosexuals to death along with the infidels, but as always with you libs you go after easy targets and cower when you would actually have to show some courage when standing for your views!

Hopefully we can find something that both liberals and conservatives can agree on. You should be free to disagree with a corporations policies and you should feel free to express that. However expressing it by attacking a minimum wage employee that is unable to fight back is the way to do it. I recently went to purchase furniture at Value City Furniture In Chesapeake VA. However as I went to enter I noticed a “no guns” sign on the door. I am a legally armed citizen and; like always, I was carrying. Even if I was not I would not give money to someone that cares so little for my safety. But I DID NOT enter the store and start berating the female teenage receptionist; taking comfort in the fact that she could not fight back. I went home and wrote a letter to the company explaining my position. But I have to confess I did something very cruel to Value City, I took my money and handed it to their competitor. I am glad his former company and the university did the right thing. He has the right to his opinion but he also has the responsibility to properly represent his company. My 8th grade football coach made it very clear that if we misbehaved after we had been ID’ed as a player we would be off the team. Apparently this guy was never a Highland East Cougar. The video was not all bad, I am very proud of the young woman for her behavior and professionalism, she has a bright future.

Congratulations, you just confirmed my prediction with that ad-hominem attack and straw-man argument you just made. I respect Dan Cathy’s First Amendment right to say what he will about his definition of marriage; however, that doesn’t allow him and his restaurant to be spared from the potential repercussions that come with it, just like Adam Smith isn’t spared from the potential repercussions that resulted from respectfully expressing his viewpoint of Chick-Fil-A to the drive-through employee. Hence, I would say he was courageous for being brave enough for getting his message out despite knowing that he would get plenty of heat for saying what he said.

True, Dan may have a good performance of abiding by his policy of treating his customers fairly and keeping his political views outside of his business, but the instant he decided to make his religious viewpoints concerning marriage public, that’s when he was on the receiving end of blowback from some of his customers.

Because the company got caught in the backlash that this guy created.

If all the guy wanted to do was make a point, he should have done it differently.

Or he could have done it exactly the way he did do it. That is his right.

Do you really think his employer should have to shoulder what he brought upon them if that is not what they wanted?

      “Restoring love”? Really, Beck?

Conservatives will pay a price for what they are doing now. This will be looked upon in the same way, and for the same reasons, as the Ku Klux Klan’s hatred for certain individuals.

It’s hard for conservatives to imagine now, but there will come a time when more rational humans will prevail and sexual orientation will no longer be an issue for us. Then, today’s conservative will appear as backward, as anti-life and anti-value as any Klansman ever did.

This behavior is so far beneath my countrymen. It is painful to watch. We must change this and focus solely on individual freedom, or we are doomed.

“Why exactly do you find their religious viewpoint to be ‘controversial???’”

      From Dan Cathy:

“I think we are inviting God‘s judgement on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say ’We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage‘ and I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is all about.”

This is what caused the homosexuals and even heterosexuals to express outrage towards Dan and his Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain. Sure, he may have done well in enforcing his policy of treating all of his customers fairly and keeping politics involving marriage outside of his business, but the instant he decided to make his disdain towards people that have a different viewpoint on the definition of marriage public, that’s when Dan left himself open to justifiable outrage from the LGBT community and even a good deal of his customers. Had Dan said that he supports the traditional viewpoint of marriage but will stand up for those that view the definition of marriage differently, the controversy would’ve been less intense than it is now.

      Mr. Oshowott,

      Part 1.
The way he handled it, it was borderline harassment to that girl, no two ways about it. You can tell from his lead up that he was loaded for bear. He was not merely stating an opinion. He thought he was gonna be a youtube sensation, and he dragged that nice girl into it.

If all he wanted to do was make his opinion known, he could have just sat down in front of his camera, and gave a little speech, and put in on youtube.

But it was his right to handle it the way he did, and now he is paying the price of admission.

I could not care less what you, or anyone else here, thinks or says about my viewpoints. I’m sure there have been times when some one has thought I was berating them, and vice-versa.

Everyone needs to put their big-boy pants on, and get on with life.

      Part 2.
      And your point is????????
That one man’s “controversial” is another man’s “normal” ???

See,……..I don‘t think Dan really cares if the LGBT’s are offended. I think he is like me in that he does not care what certain people think of his viewpoints, even if it costs him a few customers.

The man has what so few have any more these days. “Principles”

I think that any customers he may have lost because of this, will be doubled by the amount of people that now who he is, what he stands for, and how damn tasty his sammich’s are.

For those that are offended, KFC right down the road.

      The Gaystapo would have:

      1. demonstrated at the corporate headquarters,
      2. organized a boycott,
      3. called the corporate executives at home,
      4. called the customers
      5. disrupted the stockholder meetings

The homosexuals are planning on going to Chick-fil-a and kissing each other as a protest and to prove they are completely normal and natural. Some patrons may want to avoid the restrooms to avoid interrupting a romantic interlude. Small children and sensitive individuals may want to go to KFC instead.

Employees should be given bio-hazard suits to avoid potential contamination. Bleach and ammonia will decontaminate the dining area but there is always the possibility of finding something revolting on the currency.

The most common diseases transmitted by the fecal-to-oral route are: cryptosporidiosis, hepatitis A, and shingellosis. These are most common in areas bordering with Mexico or other areas with poor public hygiene.

      @BRUCE P

      I agree!

If we only shopped at places that held 100% of our personal values, the economy would tank.

I went to P-Town (Plymouth, MA) with my daughter a couple of years ago; she wanted to get her friend a rainbow shirt – it is a big homosexual, artsy town. We had a great time! We shopped. We ate. We walked around. The people were wonderful. What if I said to her, “Sorry, I won’t do business with gay people?”

I love San Fransisco! What a great town. Imagine of I refused to go there because of the ‘gay community’?

Some people don’t understand diversity of opinions. I dare say there are equal parts of intolerance on both sides of the aisle.

I, for one, never participate in organized boycotts. Instead of finding things I don’t like about someone, I prefer to find things I like. As mentioned, if I only shopped at places where I agreed with all of their principles, I wouldn’t be able to shop. To be quite frank, if I only hung around people that thought like me, I would be friendless (not to mention bored!). I often choose friends who think a little different than me, it is how I grow.

Great to see you. Hope all is well.

I think there is a misunderstanding between why you think people are calling you a hater, and why they are calling you a hater.

There is a difference between saying, “I disapprove of homosexual marriage and think it’s wrong”
      and
“I think homosexuality is wrong, and therefore I’m going to go and vote for legislation to ban gay marriage.”

While there are undoubtedly homosexual people who will call people a hater simply because they are against homosexuality. I think a lot of homosexual people view it as, “not only does this person disapprove, but they are actively taking away something I have the right to do(get married.”

There is a difference between the two.

Exactly, then you don’t have the right to get married either, or outlaw other people from getting married.

Why do you think all of these states are now passing Constitutional amendments defining marriage between a man and a woman? Because that was never the law before.

You are now retroactively changing the definition of something and discriminating in the process.

46% of Republicans in Mississippi want to ban interracial marriage. Should they be allowed to do that. If they passed a Constitutional Amendment that said marriage was only between 1 man and 1 woman of the same race, would that be legal? Not at all.

Unfortunately your example is invalid and essentially proves my point.

Our founders fought for freedom and won it. They then created a Constitution that talked about freedom, liberty, pursuit of happiness…..while owning slaves and not allowing women to vote.

Many things are constitutional until they are ruled unconstitutional. My view is that one day banning homosexual marriage will be ruled unconstitutional.

You are allowed to voice your opinion(we still have out and out racists in this nation). What you aren’t allowed to do is use the government to discriminate against those people to support your views.

I made it clear in my post that I think there are two different stances on how homosexuals view people who say they are against gay marriage.

I only said, “you” because you said you were “tired of being called a hater..” Nowhere in the post did I say you took a certain stance on the issue.

Read my post, I never once said or implied anything like, “people are calling you a hater because you vote against gay marriage.”

I then talked about how because there has been so much talk about people who not only disapprove of homosexuality, but that they will go and vote against their ability to get married, that when someone says, “I oppose gay marriage” or “I don’t believe in gay marriage” or anything of the like, that a lot of homosexuals jump to the conclusion that, “this person is voting against my ability to get married.”

I then made it clear that some homosexual people would call you a hater no matter what, even if you disapproved of homosexuality, but were for gay marriage but that the majority of times it’s likely because the homosexual person(or person who supports gay marriage) thinks you’re saying that you actively vote to ban gay marriage.

That‘s where I’m saying there is a difference. I never said you took a specific stance on gay marriage.

It has been understood for literally centuries that marriage is between a man and a woman. Since this country was founded on Judeo-Christian values, it was understood that marriage was between one man and one woman ( Reference: Webster’s Dictionary of 1828 ).

Since many if not all states recognize civil unions which allow LBGTs the same legal rights as those that are married, it has always puzzled me why they continue to demand the “right to marry”. After all, “holy matrimony” is a Christian ceremony. But with the escalation of the bullying tactics of LBGT organizations, it has become very clear that the only reason they demand marriage is to be “in your face” with Christians and others that don’t hold with the LBGT lifestyle. It’s about forcing Christian churches to marry LBGT couples against their will and despite Biblical teachings.

I have often thought that the way to solve the problem is to rename the “marriage license” to “civil union” and give the word “marriage” back to the churches where it belongs. But the LBGT community would still not be happy so it’s not worth the effort.

The LBGT community is just wasting precious time and breath trying to get Bible believing Christians to change… it’s not going to happen. Why don’t we just agree to disagree folks and move on with our lives in peace?

It is not about the right to get married. Never was. Homosexuals want to punish those who disagree with them. They are driven by a hatred for God and if they get **** marriage, they won’t stop. The next step will be to harass and eradicate anyone that still voices an objection. Then it will be group marriage, marriage to animals, marriage to children. The same arguments being used for **** marriage will be used for all these. Homosexuality is perversion. And perversion is never satisfied. It always moves on to the next perversion.

Discrimination. Is that what the city officials/mayors are doing when they threaten to keep Chick-fil-A out of their cities? That is discrimination of the first order and unconstitutional. I know, I know. The constitutional is only for YOUR side and how you interpret it, not for us dummies who don’t believe the same things you do.
P.S. Government has no business in marriage period. Marriage is between a man and a woman who make their vows before God – government simply gets their nose in to collect fees and ‘record’ as much as they can of what any of us does with their lives.
If you want to get married to a same sex person, go ahead and make your vows before God. If He likes it, you’re good. If not, well….not my call.

      Merriam-Webster Dictionary: mat·ri·mo·ny noun \ˈma-trə-ˌmō-nēDefinition of MATRIMONY
: the union of man and woman as husband and wife : marriage

derives from Latin mātrimōnium which combines the two concepts mater meaning “mother” and the suffix -monium signifying “action, state, or condition.”
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marriage

The purpose of marriage was the production of heirs, as implied by the Latin word matrimonium, which is derived from mater (mother).
      http://theweek.com/article/index/228541/how-marriage-has-changed-over-centuries

Marriage’s primary purpose was to bind women to men, and thus guarantee that a man’s children were truly his biological heirs.
In the betrothal ceremony of ancient Greece, a father would hand over his daughter with these words: “I pledge my daughter for the purpose of producing legitimate offspring.”
      http://www.islandmix.com/backchat/f9/origin-marriage-50901/
I really should not have to say more, but I will. Any statement that uses “gay marriage” is an oxymoron statement! It does not automatically make anyone a bigot, hater, or discriminator because they do not want the meaning re-defined, it is simply because they understand the true significance to the heterosexual community. If gays want to unite, then please get creative and coin their own term to mean the union of same sex. It is the laws of nature, not humans, that make a “marriage” impossible for same sex couples.

Did you see me back the mayors of those cities? No, I’ve always said that they were stupid, out of line, overreaching their power and are unlikely able to do what they say they want to die.

I agree, Government has no place in marriage.

So let’s revoke all marriage licenses and issue everyone who wants one a civil union.

If religious individual people want to get married in their church, fine. No church would be forced to marry any couple that they don’t want to. But that marriage license also holds no recognition in any form of government being county, state, federal. It is between their god and their church for symbolic purposes.

It makes everyone happy, and puts everyone equal in the eyes of the Government. I really doubt many religious people would be for that though.

I was in court about 6 months ago and they make you ask some generic questions. One of the questions is, “Are you or have you ever been married?”

How would a person who is in a civil union answer that question under oath? regardless of whether or not they are homosexual or not?

Yes? Well, they’re not married, they have a civil union.
No? Well then you‘re discriminating against them because they have all the rights of the married people but they can’t call it be married(more for homosexual couples who CAN’T marry then heterosexuals who choose not to).
Do they have to qualify that they aren’t married but have a civil union?

You said, “I was in court about 6 months ago and they make you ask some generic questions. One of the questions is, “Are you or have you ever been married?”

And thus, asked how would a gay/lesbian person respond because they would not be married, but have a civil union.

Answer- the government form would be amended to read “Are you or have you ever been married- OR BEEN IN A CIVIL UNION?”

Gays and lesbians CAN’T (physically impossible) be MARRIED. The act of intercourse (which is defined as when the penis penetrates the vaginia) consummates the marriage. Legitimizes it! Sodomy and the use of fake gentiles DO NOT count. Consummates is defined as complete. What’s more- this is why marriage cannot be separated by man. “What God has joined together, let not man separate.” Man can’t separate it because God bound it. AND- it is made complete by the man and woman via consummation.

The fact that people and The Blaze think you and Bruce are stupid and go as far as to say it just means we also have free speech to do so. Get it? On the other hand, Companies have the right to fire your ___ when you represent them in a negative way. Companies have the right, and do in fact do background checks and browse social media sites looking for traits that people may have that could hurt the reputation of business with others. Bruce’s actions could lose money for his former employer therefore they have the right to terminate. Again he can “free speak” just as much now as he could when he was employed. IMO you are a moron to brag and post your mug all over the World just because you think everybody thinks you are cool, funny, etc. It can easily come back and bite you in a big way!

Okay, now you all seem to get it. Marvelous! You walked right into the trap.

Each and every one of you saying this is not a free speech issue are 100% correct. All of you saying hat his employer does not have to tolerate his behavior are 100% correct. And those of you saying that you and everyone else has a right to criticize his behavior are 100% correct.

However, contrast this to the rhetoric of Chick-Fil-A’s supporters.

Chick-Fil-A has been hiding behind a false “free-speech” issue, as if they are entitled to the silence of their critics and to be shielded from any disagreement. They and their supporters have accused anyone critical of their support of pro-hate groups as being against “free speech.” They have behaved as if their right to believe and say what their choose trumps everyone else’s right to free speech.

So, why is it a free speech issue on the one hand and not on the other?

And yes, the guy may have been rude to her, but who is the real bully…a guy who berates a drive-thru-window operator, or the guy who spends millions of dollars to support groups who spread hatred?

Uh, I don‘t know if you’re REALLY following this story, but the whole point is the head of the company OPENLY stated his opinion and the like-minded OPENLY went to the store to show their support. Not sure how that gets turned into some clandestine anti-gay marriage cabal.
Meanwhile, this guy goes and attacks an ENTRY level employee who may or may not hold Cathy’s views. To what end? As a cheap attention whore stunt that backfires as it shows this guy may be a bit of a bully. No one said he can’t say or do what he did. The folks he worked for apparently decided this reflected poorly upon them; so it appears he has a right to his opinion, but not a right to embarrass his employer.
You further responses further solidify that you believe that any opposing thought to your team is both “cowardly” and “indefensible.” I live in WV… not far from Martinsburg. Calling in a bomb threat to that town’s Chic-Fil-A was cowardly and indefensible.
There is no point in debating you. You are not looking for enlightment; you are simply asserting your superiority and, at best, hoping someone will enter your echo chamber. My goodness, it must be such burden to always be better and smarter than majority of the morons in the world. Your “trap” was nothing more than a masturbatory rant. But it was entertaining.

Then why do we comment on our friends posts about how this isn’t about traditional values but about the fact that the very people who scream for tolerance are not willing to give it back. They yell we are intolerant for voicing an opinion and belief they disagree with and yet treat us with the same intolerance. True tolerance is not accepting every opinion that just so happens to agree with yours, it is accepting the fact that people have different opinions and chose to still respect them despite the fact you do not agree. That is true tolerance and why people can disagree and not call names or act like idiots.

Let’s try breaking it down this way. Free speech isn’t being infringed upon. No one stopped him. The CFA Supporters‘ speech isn’t being infringed upon either. No one stopped them. So free speech isn’t the issue. The issue is whether or not his employer is entitled to protect its image, and, by law, it is. They didn’t tell him to stop talking. They only told him that they chose to have more mature representation. No speech stifled whatsoever. Chances are, if he painted himself like a chicken posted on YouTube telling people his was AGAINST gay marriage in a brash & childish way, he wouldn’t be their CFO today either. It’s just an issue of protecting their interests. He’s still free to speak out all he wants, even now.

But CURIOUSLY, the ONLY person who silenced Mr. Smith…

      …was Mr. SMITH!

He took down his OWN video after YouTube viewers exercised their freedom of speech in hitting the dislike button 1000 times and only hitting the like button 15 times. So he ran.

      Not a coward, you say?

Can’t take the criticism – removes his video and hides.
Puts HIMSELF out there to be a star, and won‘t talk to the media when he realizes he’s unpopular.
Hates what the CEO said, bullies an $8/hr. drive-thru girl, even when she’s wishing him a good day.
Won’t face the music after he realizes that free speech ALWAYS has a caveat – that others are free to rebut.

And therein lies the problem with liberalism.

I wish he had the conviction to continue his mess

Bruce, come on man. This isn’t about Free Speech of that guy Adam Smith. It’s about Governments, ie; Rham Emanual, and the dip stick in New York or PA or where ever it was saying they will NOT allow CFA to do business in their town. Do you see the difference between Gov Not allowing speech and you baseless argument. CFA’s CEO has ever right as a private citizen to say he Believes in traditional Marriage, without the Government forcing it’s POWER on him. You getting this yet. The Government is using it’s Power to try and put CFA out of business. Do you want to live in that kind of tyranny? Maybe next time when a Government wants to put Media Matters or KOS, et al. out of business because it doesn’t agree with their Speech you might see the point. This guy Adam Smith will NEVER be arrested by the Government for his speech. Sure he got fired by his employer but, they don’t have the power of the Government to censor him. Only the Government can take away your 1st Amend right by force/legislation. And that sir is what you liberals are advocating without even knowing it. This issue has nothing to do with Gay Marriage or Traditional Marriage. IT has EVERYTHING to do with tyranny. Think man Think.. Use your brain. Think about this: replace CFA with say Microsoft. Say Gates said, I believe in Abortion Rights. But, the City of Dallas said fine because of your murderous ways we are going to ban you from doing business in Dallas.. Get the point now?

Ah nuts. I am sick of people getting fired for expressing their opinions. The guy is definitely a jerk but instead of being fired, I would rather have seen him make another video appologizing to sweet Rachel.

Fatman – No one stopped him from expressing his views. No one stopped him from posting his rant to Youtube. No one interfered with his right to free speech in any way. The owners of the company he worked for have rights too. In AZ they have the right to fire an employee without a reason. They chose to fire a horrible little man who bullies children and then has the hubris to publicize it to the world because they don’t want to be associated with such a vile individual. That is their right. I don’t blame them.

We don’t know her viewpoints. We might be disappointed. She did say something about how she is not free to express her views. From a managerial aspect, she did the right thing and handled it in a professional manner.

I think that’s the irony of what he did. He assumed the woman supported the corporate position. For all he knew, maybe she sided with him. Point is he didn’t know. He should have called corporate HQ and asked to speak to a PR manager.

It’s much more dangerous to work at McDonalds. One drive through clerk was choked for putting pickles on a sandwich. Another one refused to take a $50 bill because it was against company policy. The irate customer jumped over the counter and tried to punch him until he whacked her with a broom handle.

So does stupidity! Now if Eller College could show a little class and follow suit, all would be well in the kingdom. Maybe he could find a job at say……………………..Chick-fil-a?

You beat me to it! I imagine the fine folks at Chick would have no problem providing employment and probably teaching him some valuable life skills. The gal in the window would be a fine example.

I guess being a hateful little man, he will have no problem working for Barney Frank, another hateful little man. Although, after that gig, he may have a little gay in him.

Puts ‘gay pride’ in a little different light.
