Bruce Lee was magnificent and gets much of the credit for popularizing the martial arts in America; but as a young martial artist in the 1960s I followed him closely as he rose to prominance. Those were the days before martial arts schools turned out 12-year-olds with black belts and no one was in it for the money or the fame. He is a great American and a great human being.

I was amazed by my time in corporate America where there was never any problem getting a lottery pool together but getting people to load up into a “Let’s go vote” van-pool was next to impossible.

I know this is way off topic, but has anybody besides me noticed Obama’s “whistling s” and how it comes and goes depending on whether he’s speaking like a humble servant of his downtrodden flock, or a condescending elitest rebuking the proverbial pharisees, respectively. Palin and Limbaugh both nailed it: Obama lacks cajones, but more than makes up for it in gall.
