ROSEDALE, Md. (AP) — Advocates for transgender rights are planning a rally outside a McDonald’s in Maryland where an attack against a transgender woman that was caught on video took place.
The rally condemning the attack is set for 7 p.m. Monday outside the restaurant in Baltimore County.
The video posted online shows a woman being beaten and then apparently having a seizure. Baltimore County police say a 14-year-old girl has been charged as a juvenile and an 18-year-old woman, Teonna Monae Brown, faces assault charges in the case.
The victim, 22-year-old Chrissy Lee Polis, says she’s the victim of a hate crime. Polis says before she was attacked, one teen said Polis was a man using the women’s restroom and accused Polis of talking to her man.

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 11:36amIf she hadn’t been packing a penis under her skirt, this story would already have gone away. Black on white violence–at least until a gun is involved–routinely gets ignored. Go back 20 years ago to Tallahassee and check police reports and newspapers: Anywhere around half a dozen white pizza delivery drivers would be assaulted delivering to Florida A&M–often only for a $5 pizza–each weekend. Number of prosecutions: 1, and that was after a kid got beaten so badly that he needed something like $25K in reconstructive surgery. Just one example of a continuing problem.

…Of course, you all post horrible comments on any subject about homosexuals or transgendered individuals when there aren’t any black people involved. In fact, when this was only posted as “two black women beat up a white woman” it was 100% black-bashing. I wonder if your compassion towards the victim here would’ve counted if the assailants were white.

I think the real problem here is the fact that he/she was talking to one of the girls boyfriend. Get over it! This was an uncalled reaction from the 2 girls. Starting trouble over something that they could of walked away from is just plain crazy. A mental evaluation and some anger control is surely in the works, isn’t it?

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 10:34amYou are a father of an 8 yr. old girl and you go to McDs for a quarter pounder and Happy Meal. Your daughter whispers in your ear, “Daddy, I have to go to the bathroom.” You take her to the door with the avatar of a lady on it. You wait outside the door as your daughter goes in. Immediately after your precious little girl goes into the restroom, a cross-dressing “transgendered” man approaches the door to go in behind her!!
Report Post »Okay liberals…what do you do?
A. Feel proud that your daughter will be able to learn about “diversity”. She may even discover whether this “trannie” is pre or post op. Maybe this “trannie” will give your daughter tips on make-up! Who knows what “she” may do with your daughter in the confines of a restroom that you can not go in to protect her.
B. You stand in front of the door and tell this freak to go out back and crap in the grass with the other animals.
C. You yell to two black girls that this “lady” was hitting on their man and watch the fun.

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 11:44amYou made a terrible assumption that your daughter would be negatively affected by this. How would she see if the transgendered person had gone through Gender Reassignment Surgery? I‘m pretty sure they don’t just get it all out in plain sight in the restroom. No matter what you may think of them, they are people who were born in the wrong gender. It’s sad that you think they would try and harm your daughter. I have met a couple transsexual people and honestly, they are some of the nicest people I have known. But prmade judgements are the hardest to break.

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 10:22amSome of the responses to this story, as well as many of the responses to the original story, demonstrate a severe narrow-mindedness that feeds the fires that warm the liberal left. I see no reason that simply because someone subscribes to conservative values and ideas, that he or she has to exhibit such ignorance. Do you people really believe that this person, Chrissy, is this way out of choice? I’m very happy that all of you are so comfortable in your assigned gender, but it is simply not that way for everyone. She was not trying to hurt anyone, only use the restroom. It’s a victimless crime. Some suggested that “he”, a man, “exposed himself” to a 14-year old girl in the restroom. That‘s a tough thing to do when you’re using a stall with the door closed, as no doubt she was. All of us need to grow up a bit, and expand our narrow points of view, or you will only help the liberals in their pursuit of crappy-ness.
This rally is being held at the McD’s simply because it is the most visible place to do so, since it has been splashed all over the news these past few days. They have every right to do so, legally, whether you like it or not. There is even a good possibility that several in attendance may well be Tea Party members. Simply because they have dealt with gender issues their whole lives does not mean they subscribe to the entire liberal mindset. Have some compassion, people, and be the bigger persons when approaching this subject.
There should be no gay/lesbian/transgender bashing coming from the right. Wrong is wrong, and if you believe in your conservative values, and cling to Christian teachings, then you have to extend the hand of compassion to those who may not be as fortunate as you are. This poor girl has been dealing with gender issues her whole life, only to be beaten to a pulp by narrow-minded ignorant idiots. When you start bashing her for her lifestyle, which is hurting no one, you are no better than they are. Now grow up.

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 10:11amThe story behind the beating was revealed on another website by the employee operating the video camera (who is now fired/dismissed). he revealed that the girls told “Chrissy” to leave the ladies restroom and “Chrissy/Chris” made a remark and the beating began. The beating is totally wrong. However, if Chris is a transgendered male, he should not be in the ladies bathroom if he still has his man parts intact. So, what happens do we have to have bathrooms titled, Male, female and transgendered. Is that the option?

Sashay, Shante.
Let me tell you, I have a friend that works at a well-known restaurant in a really gay part of town, Lakewood, Ohio.
Home of the Office of Dennis Kucinich.
This friend of mine tells me of a gay bar that opened across the street from the restaurant, called “Bottom’s Up”.
The traffic in and out of that restaurant from the bar is…disturbing to say the least.
How would you like to have a large group of giant pink feather boa-wearing, butt-cut-out-of-the-jeans wearing, giant wig wearing, flamboyant gaudy gold and silver sequins wearing homos come flash mobbing into your store all loud and waving their arms and smacking their lips and lisping? Demanding a free taco, and drunk to boot?
It runs your other customers away, and makes your store look bad. They like to argue and fight in the store too, and try to get sassy with the workers.
The police are ALLOWING this to occur, the same way they ALLOW a lot of stuff to happen in the street. It solidifies their existence and they use it to claim “see, you need me to protect you”.
This is pressure from the top down, bottom up (pardon the pun) and turned inside out

For one of their employees to use their phone to film the beating instead of calling the police was inexcusable. McDonald’s did fire that employee but but should have fired all the employees who cheered on the attack. They should have closed down the restaurant for a week as they re-staffed.
Only a little old lady had the courage to try to protect the victim. All the others did nothing either because they are cowardly or because the enjoyed watching the poor person getting beaten. In the video, the thugs left the store and returned to continue their assault. No employee did anything to stop them from entering again and again in their assault on the victim. After all is said and done the victim will be ordering $1 Million with her next order of a Big Mac. And she will get it with no extra charge for the cheese.

Posted on April 25, 2011 at 10:28amI was a backup juror for a civil case back in California. The case was of a guy who was stabbed in the parking lot of a bowling alley. He was pulled out of his car, beaten, stabbed and left for dead. The assailant was never captured. They were suing the business owner for not providing adequate security for the premise.
As a back up juror, I didn’t get a vote in. I thought a lot differently back in those days.
The jury returned that the owner was responsible in some way. Out of the total sued, the jury held the owner 15% liable and the assailant (if ever caught) 85% liable to pay for damages.
To a certain extend, McDonalds is liable for the safety of it’s patrons. I understand if it was an armed robbery, no one expects the McDonalds employee to jump in front of a bullet for a patron, but this was just two young girls. All they had to do was form a barrier around the victim and escort the two women off the property. Instead, the employees, who represent the McDonalds franchise, did nothing. They even encouraged the fight. McDonalds is liable for a certain amount of the damages.

McDonald’s is the only one in this equation with any money. They have to be sued. Othersise there is no money in it. This is not about justice. Its about an agenda.. Not a hate crime because the attackers were black. Doesn’t fit the agenda. We need to quit asking the same old questions and/or making the same ole points. We all know the agenda and the plan. Posted on April 25, 2011 at 3:16pm@DRATTASTIC I‘m assuming you’re within the camp of “Personal Responsibility” as I am. McDonalds is partially at fault here. I am expected a certain level of security going into someone else’s establishment. I have a reasonable expectation of have some kind of safety. Like I mentioned in my post, two above this one, there are limits. I would not expect the employees to jump in front of a bullet for a customer but in this case they had every opportunity to prevent further violence against this individual. The two girls left the victim alone long enough for an employee to escort the victim into the managers office until police/ambulance arrives. Instead, they allowed the two attackers to return, continue their attack and attempt to drag the individual out of their restaurants.
McDonalds Corp is responsible for their corporate image. If they are unable to control their franchise owner/manager or instill upon them certain ethics that provide for that safe environment (as safe as one can without truly risking their lives) they are still responsible. Yes, absolutely, higher ups should be held responsible. They hired and paid those individuals that allowed that violence to occur under their watch. McDonald ponies up the civil suit money and everyone in that worked in that franchise pays by having to dust off the ol’ resume.
