‘Trash’: Gingrich Responds to WaPo Writer Trying to Dig Up Dirt on Him

Gingrich to Washington Post Blogger Asking Help Digging Up Dirt on Him: Why Dont You Look Into The President

Newt Gingrich has a message for major news outlets looking to smear him by digging up statements and transgressions from his past: Why not first look into the past of the man who’s currently in the Oval Office?

On Monday, Washington Post reporter Aaron Blake reached out to his followers on Twitter for help in finding damaging remarks made by surging GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich:

Gingrich to Washington Post Blogger Asking Help Digging Up Dirt on Him: Why Dont You Look Into The President

The ordeal is reminiscent of an incident earlier this year during which the Post and The New York Times asked readers to help dig for dirt in the 24,000 pages of emails released from Sarah Palin’s time as governor of Alaska.

While the search for damaging information produced little ammo for liberals, the call for volunteers to help smear the Republican governor drew criticism from conservatives who have long alleged a left-leaning bias from the so-called “main stream media.”

When asked during a radio interview what he thought about Blake’s tweet, Gingrich said he’s not surprised.

“I think that you have to expect that kind of trash,” said Gingrich. He went on to say that he’s been honest about his past and that he has had to ask for forgiveness for some of the things he has done.

“It’s a little sad to see a paper the quality of the Washington Post stoop to that, which used to be the National Enquirer approach to life. But that’s just the nature of where we are today,” he said.

Gingrich commented that rather than “crowd-sourcing” into his past, the media should account for where they have come short in carrying out the appropriate investigation into the president.

“I wish they would crowd-source to discover what he did at Columbia University, and I wish they would crowd-source to figure out what he did with Saul Alinsky’s ideas on the South Side of Chicago,” Gingrich said. “But the news media’s never quite found itself as excited about the facts about Barack Obama. Would rather worry about rumors about conservatives than facts about the President.”

Gingrich pointed out that it is “absurd” how little Americans know about the president’s life after he left Hawaii, in particular what he did in Chicago.

Newt is far from perfect and I hear hes quite the douchbag on a personal level. However hes a staunch Capitalist and a very smart guy.

Currently I think hes the best chance of winning in 2012.His checkered past with both parties will actually help him the most when it comes to the indys.

Well that won’t be to hard and there is plenty of dirt to dig up on Newt. Newt ushered in the era of divisive politics in congress. He left the House on ethics charges. He was having an affair when he was trying to impeach Clinton for his sexual misadventures. And he is a second rate historian.

If you want to keep condemning the republican candidates for changing thier mind on an issue, of for saying something you didn’t like, or for whatever reason you are only helping to divide people when we need to be united and single in purpose. In the North Carolina GOP straw poll, where about 200 elitist Repubs payed $125 a piece to vote, Newt won with 55% of the vote. That’s approximately 100 people who voted for Newt.
A couple of weeks later, North Carolina hosted a ‘grassroots’ straw poll that was also open to Independents. Voters had to register and get a number to vote. 630 people voted and Ron Paul won with 52% of the vote – that’s 329 people who voted for Ron Paul.
So Paul gets 2 out of every 3 votes in North Carolina.
Ron Paul gets the Independents vote and its the indies who will decide who wins the presidency.
Ron Paul also draws votes away from Barry because the blue dog dems will vote for him. And Ron Paul is garnering the youth vote.
There is only one Republican candidate who adheres to the Constitution and whose principles match those of our Founding Fathers:
      President Ron Paul 2012

I agree… still baffles me on why no one who claims they are supporting the Constitution that they have not challenged king obama on his eligibility. It‘s not the bc it’self, but the fact that it proves obama‘s father was a british citizen at the time of barry’s birth (actually, he never got his US citizenship – he was here on a student visa) therefore barry is a dual citizen (not a natural born citizen), and therefore not eligible. Everyone is stuck on the bc and where he was born. that is moot. According to the CA 9th district circuit court, they agree his is ineligible, but US citizens cannot bring the cause. Only Congress, or a presidential candidate can challenge. An neither have done it since barry made sure early in the game that any “birther” would get laughed out of town….. Global warming is nothing more than just another hoax, just like Y2K and the global freezing claims in the 1960‘s and 70’s were. Global warming is being used to generate fear and panic. BLACKHAWK…take a look at these “leading scientists” of BERNBART’s. They’re all either under the wing of or financially beholden to the IPCC. The U.N.’s instrument to redistribute wealth. The latest leaks of emails comfirmed what we all knew..that “Global Warming” was changed to “Climate Change” because all the cold weather was causing a PR problem for these idiots.
How about the island nations of Tuvalu and the Maldives? They’re demanding billions of dollars in reparateions because they claim global warming..sorry climate change is sinking them…
The Maldives are relatively flat atolls, composed of coral. Tourism was only introduced to Maldives in 1972. Tourism has become the largest industry in the Maldives and the primary construction material used to build the resorts is …you guessed it..coral. Digging up the local coral to build plush hotels and large conference centers is as dumb as sucking the air out of your lifeboat to breathe. The mining has severely compromised the atolls, creating the impression that the islands are sinking, when in fact they’re being dug up. The problem the Maldives faces is engineering lunacy – not a rising sea.

      Posted on November 30, 2011 at 5:32pm

      I’ll continue BLACKHAWK…
Tuvalu’s problem is not climate change, nor is it tourism. Tuvalu’s problem is that the island was never meant for modern inhabitation. The country’s primary indigenous vegetable crop, taro, has been seriously over-farmed. There is no fresh water available they only have what can be cached from rain. Much of the population uses the island’s lagoon for bathing and toilet facilities. The country has to ship its commercial waste to landfills in Fiji and New Zealand. Tuvalu is a disastrous mess being run by fools.
And here‘s what Tuvalu’s Deputy Prime Minister had to say….”Tuvalu is highly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change so we are seeking new funding arrangements to protect us from the impacts of climate change,” [...]. “Rather than relying on aid money we believe that the major greenhouse polluters should pay for the impacts they are causing.”
BLACKHAWK…this isnt’ about “saving Gaia” or AGW for these kleptocrats..this is a U.N. shake down operation right out of Chicago’s playbook and idiots like BERNBART buy into it like the good lefty morons they are.

The next President will be put in office because of a crisis….People will be worn down enough to say, Obama has got to go, and Newt is by far the most capable candidate in the Field, a divorce is not going to convince people to not vote for him. HW Bush wouldn’t even address the smears and rumors that he carried on with another woman.

I DO WISH that conservatives would take the gloves off and really go after Obama to reveal all those things that he did prior to his election and those things since…Do conservatives REALLY want to WIN? I’m beginning to wonder!

What I like about Newt is he has nothing to hide. As per his past transgressions, he has asked for forgiveness and is at peace with his God.

      May God bless Newt.

The real destroyer of humanity is Barack Obama….Many of us know the real truth about him, and even the Media would be shocked to know who he really is and his so called divine purpose.

You can be sure they know. They just won’t say because their sole purpose in life is to protect him at all costs.
