Here in MI the unemployment rate is a solid 12% using the new method of calculation. The real number is well past 25% and you have a solid union footprint here. Why is that? Maybe people figured out they can build a better product for less money where there is no union huh? Maybe?

Union jobs can’t help America by spending your money on a select few who have bought and paid for their positions.
They strip an economy and move on like the locust labor they are.

Oh, I am sorry Dick- are you saying I don’t live in the “real world”???? I am on the right, I am not part of a union. I don’t see how the unions are helping me in any way, shape, or form right now. I can’t afford to keep up my lifestyle because I am paying too much for yours! As a matter of fact about 56% of the country is working class by definition, unions only represent 12.4% of workers. The rest of the middle class is being squeezed. Who is representing us?

I think Glenn has exposed the disaster UNIONS are for our country! Frankly, Trumpka is a fat, typical union thug who had a little too much dope in his younger days which clouded the education he was supposed to be getting when he took up space in school! Too bad he is such a great friend of our President! But the Prez friend list is pretty scary when you throw in his best friends and neighbors, Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernadette, criminals who tried to destroy our country starting with Chicago! The radicals all seem to be friends, but not the friends the average American wants!

The only ones profiting from UNIONS are UNIONS. They have no problem taking your money just like the Demos. That’s why they get along so well. They want to share our wealth with themselves. Most of them have no time to listen to the members because they are always out spending their membership dues. I can’t see for the life of me why anyone would want to pay someone to go on vacations and trips with my money. I want them fighting for my benefits, not just giving my money away and asking me for more. If the UNIONS are so for their members then why don’t they pay the dues back when they go on strike to help with the bills? From what I hear is that when the members go on strike. They only get unemployment benefits which doesn’t pay all that much. They don’t get anything from the UNIONS. So why are they paying them?

Trumka is a disgusting oaf, who insults all Americans by taking up THAT much time with our president; regardless of the fact that our president is the most disgusting liberal, progressive, socialist union supporting Democrat in history. The writing is on the wall for the unions… they have bankrupted our state governments, destroyed the quality in our schools, brought down our industries. Over years of greedy, irresponsible and excessive demands and contracts, unions have eroded our free market while imprisoning our policy makers. Society is finally waking up to the fact that unions must go. Unions only care about power… not quality of product, not rights of other citizens, not society at large… they certainly have no regard for the citizens who gave them their right to exist. Time to take that privilege away.

I think its much worse than that! In Rhode Island where I live and work, I am a union member. No choice in the matter. I work for the DOT. I am required to give %10 of my gross check to the retirement fund and have to work 37 years to collect the max amount. In my case about 37K per year. If I could get out of the union and invested %10 of my pay for 37 years privately, I would retire with a MILLION dollars. Could live off the interest and give my daughter her birthright, a MILLION dollars when I pass. I THINK WE ARE MISSING THE POINT!!! ( at least one of them ) WHERE DID THE MONEY GO????? In this state the fund should be FAT with cash! But they tell me, privately of course, That I will be lucky to get %60 of what was promised if nothing changes. They will take nearly $225,000 in cash from me over 37 years, then pay me $25K per year for 15 years..DEAD. Where is the money? Where is the other $700,000.00 I should earn in interest? And that is just me! 12,000 state workers in RI. I think they are making us look down, to keep us from looking up, where the real answers are? I have tried and can not get ANY answers here!?

Yes, they can turn on you in a blink of an eye. That is why the “top down” will be there to control the masses when the time comes. Glenn has it wrong when he sees three groups vying for control for a one world government. There are only two (and whose to say that the reality isn‘t that there isn’t only one.) When the entire world overturns their governments thru revolution, that is when the top will come down (the group that Sorus works for) through some sort of a UN type organization. The union bosses will then be there to keep the worker in line. They will be the established “infrastructure” to control the masses for the one world government. Sooo.. it is actually the union/communists (perhaps unbeknownst to even themselves) who are working to provide the anarchy and infrastructure to enable the one world government to come to power. That just leaves the “one world power” dudes vs. the caliphate “dudes”… of course, secularism can in no way compete with religious zeal, so that leaves the caliphate as the top power in the end. With Obama supporting the arab world and actively working to integrate islam into American society/culture/government it would appear it becomes obvious whose side he is on, although I bet the Soros crowd thinks he is in their court.

Of course, anyone who read “the Book” knows how the story ends….these are interesting times.

If you don’t agree with what they are doing, then you get an attitude adjustment. In no time you will come around to their way of thinking, or you don’t work for the UNIONS. CLEAR as mud to me. If they don’t get their way then they either try to change the subject or they find you in the middle of the night and clear any misunderstandings that you might have about their ways.

Look I am not here to bash unions, they have played an important role in this country in the past. What I do not like is many workers who are members of a union by force and that is just flat wrong. On top of that since Obama has been President these guys seem to be the only ones that he is listening to. That brings on my next point. If workers are forced to pay union dues then they should have a say in where those funds go. You know that Obama has been bought and paid for by the Unions and basically it appears he has Trumka as his Co-President. Where is that in the constitution?

All hell is breaking loose in the world and the President is putting on a Gladys Knight concert tomorrow at the taxpayers expense. I am sure they will be eating carrots and celery sticks and tofu to set a good example with Michele’s obesity program as well.

Unions have a long and sordid history with the mafia, so we see who is running the country, not that this is breaking news to most of the people on here, but just another point.

He can’t allow anyone to vote, this is why he’s so up for the removal of secret ballots. Lets take a look at the guy: he’s short, fat, his grooming is in question, he holds no level of true intellect, but he holds the ear of the “president”.
So what’s the attraction? Trumka is nothing but a thug, might even have a bit of street smarts, but I‘d venture to guess he’s nothing but a cut throat, let me be more specific, he’d sell his own grandmother to save his own life. This is saying his mom has already been sold for a beer. He’s never worked a day in his life, yet he acts as if he’s relating to some degree of heart ship. I must say the word that fits him to a tee is “disingenuous” yet he assumes we live in an altered state. This is why I call him a dimwit,
I’d venture to say that if he took a couple of seconds out of his less then exciting life and met one real tax payer, I believe he’d be left without words. He should stay in his world, not with real people but with those who he thinks are real, this is his reality and one day soon he’ll be asking them what went wrong and why they (real Americans) didn’t support the effort to stand with the unions. He‘s such a dimwit he doesn’t understand, we pay both his and all union salaries, either directly or indirectly and it’s time he realizes like the rest of his minions they work for us.

Im sure his members aren’t living so lavish and this is key to understand. The policies he rams down corporations throat creates higher costs of production. Its is b/c of guys like Trumka businesses are leaving the country and outsourcing overseas. The unions destroyed the auto industry, steel industry etc. as the US is nolonger the production giant it once was. We produce nothing in America anymore and the unions played a hand in that demise.

So sit there in your arrogance Trumka the truth will come out and maybe the members will pull an Egypt or Libya on YOU! I mean you all want that type of environment in the protests you are pushing. You all want to turn state capitol “into another Cairo”, did you ever realize they will turn on you when the truth comes out.

I live in a “Right to Work” state. I once had a job in a “Union Shop.” All it took to get me to join the union was three flat tires, a busted windshield and a 5 minute meeting with Bruno and his friendly baseball bat out back! On several occasions I was told to “slow down or get your butt kicked!” At contract time, I got the same quarter an hour raise everyone else got. My take home pay went up fifty two cents a week after taxes and the new higher union dues got through with my check. After three years I left that job for a non-union job and was making twice the money in less than a year. I knew then, some thirty years ago, that Trumka and the other union bosses were communists, but my “Union Brothers and Sisters” thought I was crazy.

That union shop, a mining operation, went out of business in the mid 1980s and all of my “Union Brothers and Sisters” lost their jobs. As soon as their dues stopped going to the union, the union stopped representing them. The claim was that no other jobs were available in the area. There were other jobs available, but they were not union jobs.

I have no respect for the unions or for workers who would prefer to be treated exactly the same as the laziest, most irresponsible worker in the crowd. I have done well working for people who base my compensation on merit. In spite of the union, it turned out to be a good career.

We all know this guy. He was the bully out on the playground in elementary school that wanted what you had, the swing, the ball, the 4-square.

Just read a story on the MSNBC website about conservative commentators who are distancing themselves from Glenn Beck and his wild theories. Maybe they don’t listen to his TV show and see the clips that he plays. If Fox cancels his show (the thrust of this story obviously), I will not watch that station again. They should not cave to this type of attack on him. He is not the buffoon they are trying to make him out to be.

Trumka is one of the most arrogant guys I’ve ever seen. That video is very disturbing to see him talk about the access he has to the administration.

He’s so full of himself he can hardly stand it! Imagine just how big your head would get if you were in contact with the White House on a daily basis! The media is going down in history as traitors to the Republic…but…do not fret my fellow patriots, we kicked 100 of the commies out last November and 2012 will be a slaughterhouse! They are simply playing their politics through PERCEPTION…remember that…WE OUTNUMBER THEM and WE SURROUND THEM AND we are a whole lot better looking to boot!

Reality is that union members have no say on how the Union gives their dues money to politicians. That’s REALITY…or the inflated salaries of union officials…Reality….

AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka (Obama’s best friend) makes over 7 million dollars per year being a Union Mafia Boss. He owns multiple mansions. Think the main stream progressive press will report this?
I wonder how much money he has in off shore accounts. Maybe someone should investigate him. Hell will freeze over first before 0Bama’s administration investigates this progressive socialist crook.

I am asking all PSU Alumni to call the Board of Trustees at Penn State and request the Trumka be removed from the Distinguished Alumni. He was voted in in 2010. If this what PSU values in thier alumni; then maybe it was not the University we all excepted and should not support them. Considering there are more alumni that are more deserving of that honor!

Hey! Union dues are optional in Oklahoma (right to work state). I must thank obama and anita dunn for introducing me to Fox News. After reserching what I didn”t believe I dropped out of the afl-cio and am $83.00 richer a month. The dues that are supposed to be there for a strike went into obamas election campaign.

Because Trumka lives in the “real world”, where money flows unendingly, where people have to be forced to belong because the union “knows best”, where communists are acting out of love for the members and those who disagree with him are evil. Sounds like his real world needs some padded walls.
