Trump Takes on Koran: It Teaches a ‘Very Negative Vibe’

Donald Trump believes the Koran teaches a “very negative vibe.” And, he’s also a Christian.
That’s what he said during an interview with CBN’s David Brody that aired this morning on the “700 Club.” His comments, included below, were in response to Brody’s question about whether or not Trump has concerns about the Muslim holy book:
The Koran is very interesting. A lot of people say it teaches love and there is a very big group of people who really understand the Koran far better than I do. I’m certainly not an expert to put it mildly, but there’s something there that teaches some very negative vibe. I mean things are happening, when you look at people blowing up all over the streets that are in some of the countries over in the Middle East, just blowing up a super market with not even soldiers, just people when 250 people die in a super market that are shopping, where people die in a store or in a street. There‘s a lot of hatred there that’s someplace. Now I don‘t know if that’s from the Koran. I don‘t know if that’s from someplace else but there‘s tremendous hatred out there that I’ve never seen anything like it. So, you have two views. You have the view that the Koran is all about love and then you have the view that the Koran is, that there’s a lot of hate in the Koran.
Here’s the relevant clip:
Yesterday, Brody released a clip of Trump explaining his own faith. “I believe in God,” Trump said. “I am a Christian:”
The full “700 Club” interview airs again tonight at 11 pm ET on the ABC Family Channel.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 10:30amThey are taught from youth that their only true duty is to destroy, to kill, and to fight the infidel (those who do not accept Islam). They don’t know anything of love or peace. They only know how to hate, and the sooner the world realizes this, the safer it will be.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 10:17amI think most people had a negative view of Trump also — since most don’t know him personally or is widely known about what he believes, etc. – just his affairs and that he was super rich. As a Christian, I certainly didn’t like his adultery antics; but on the other hand, I’ve always felt he did have common sense & is more “down to earth” than most thought, besides being super business-smart. Agree with him totally about China & America being disrespected – he is very patriotic & loves this country which is a lot more you can say about who’s in office now. I also appreciate his stance on the birth certificate deal and agree with that also & glad that is going “viral”.
Report Post »That said, I‘m sorry that he is another one who claims to be Christian but then doesn’t really “walk the talk” in many areas….that hurts the cause. Too many like that. And he really should study the Koran/Muslims if he’s going to talk about it – that would help. Get the facts out. It isn’t hard to do these days. Oh well…..we’ll see what happens………..

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 9:58amthe koran teaches all muslims ther obligation to kill or convert all infidels.
KORAN commands to kill infidels:
Allah is an enemy to unbelievers. – Sura 2:98
On unbelievers is the curse of Allah. – Sura 2:161
Slay them wherever ye find them and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. – 2:191
Fight against them until idolatry is no more and Allah’s religion reigns supreme. (different translation: ) Fight them until there is no persecution and the religion is God’s entirely. – Sura 2:193 and 8:39
Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it. – 2:216
(different translation: ) Prescribed for you is fighting, though it is hateful to you.
….. martyrs…. Enter heaven – Surah 3:140-43
If you should die or be killed in the cause of Allah, His mercy and forgiveness would surely be better than all they riches they amass. If you should die or be killed, before Him you shall all be gathered. – 3:157-8
You must not think that those who were slain in the cause of Allah are dead. They are alive, and well-provided for by their Lord. – Surah 3:169-71
Let those fight in the cause of God who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fights in the cause of God, whether he is slain or victorious, soon we shall give him a great reward. – Surah 4:74
Those who believe fight in the cause of God, and those who reject faith fight in the cause of evil. – 4:76
But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever you find them. – 4:89
Therefore, we stirred among them enmity and hatred, which shall endure till the Day of Resurrection, when Allah will declare to them all that they have done. – 5:14
O believers, take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Those of you who make them his friends is one of them. God does not guide an unjust people. – 5:54
Make war on them until idolatry is no more and Allah’s religion reigns supreme – 8:39
O Prophet! Exhort the believers to fight. If there are 20 steadfast men among you, they shall vanquish 200; and if there are a hundred, they shall rout a thousand unbelievers, for they are devoid of understanding. – 8:65
It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land. – 8:67
Allah will humble the unbelievers. Allah and His apostle are free from obligations to idol-worshipers. Proclaim a woeful punishment to the unbelievers. – 9:2-3
When the sacred months are over, slay the idolaters wherever you find them. Arrest them, besiege them, and lie in ambush everywhere for them. – 9:5
Believers! Know that idolators are unclean. – 9:28
Fight those who believe neither in God nor the Last Day, nor what has been forbidden by God and his messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are People of the Book, until they pay the tribute and have been humbled. – 9:29 (another source: ) The unbelievers are impure and their abode is hell. (another source: ) Humiliate the non-Muslims to such an extent that they surrender and pay tribute.
Whether unarmed or well-equipped, march on and fight for the cause of Allah, with your wealth and your persons. – 9:41
O Prophet! Make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites. Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is hell, a hapless journey’s end. – 9:73
Allah has purchased of their faithful lives and worldly goods, and in return has promised them the Garden. They will fight for His cause, kill and be killed. – 9:111
Fight unbelievers who are near to you. 9:123 (different translation:
Believers! Make war on the infidels who dwell around you. Let them find harshness in you. (another source: ) Ye who believe! Murder those of the disbelievers….
As for those who are slain in the cause of Allah, He will not allow their works to perish. He will vouchsafe them guidance and ennoble their state; He will admit them to the Paradise He has made known to them. – 10:4-15
Allah has cursed the unbelievers and proposed for them a blazing hell. – 33:60
Unbelievers are enemies of Allah and they will roast in hell. – 41:14
When you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks, then when you have made wide slaughter among them, tie fast the bonds, then set them free, either by grace or ransom, until the war lays down its burdens. – 47:4
(different translation: ) When you meet the unbelievers in the battlefield, strike off their heads, and when you have laid them low, bind your captives firmly.
Those who are slain in the way of Allah – he will never let their deeds be lost. Soon will he guide them and improve their condition, and admit them to the Garden, which he has announced for them. – 47:5
Muslims are harsh against the unbelievers, merciful to one another. – 48:25
Muhammad is Allah’s apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the unbelievers but merciful to one another. Through them, Allah seeks to enrage the unbelievers. – 48:29
Prophet! Make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal sternly with them. Hell shall be their home, evil their fate. – 66:9
The unbelievers among the People of the Book and the pagans shall burn forever in the fire of hell. They are the vilest of all creatures. – 98:51

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 11:47am@ DEANE—- The guys name is Deitrich Bonhoeffer. He wrote several books including “The Road to Serfdom” which Beck endorses constantly and I recommend also. He was a Christian who tried to speak out about the Evil that was the Nazi party in Germany in the early ‘30’s. It ended not so good for him. As for GEONJ— SPOT ON!!! The “moderate” moslems would have people believe that these verses can be taken out of context if you don’t read the verses leading up to and following them. People like AMERICAN SOLDIER (SEPARATED) aren’t looking at the verses in the Old Testament leading up to and following them so their context is being misconstrued as well. I’m not interested in debating religion with you (american soldier) but I believe you are wrong about the Old Testament. While the Jews in Isreal today are known to not take any crap from anybody, they are hardly cold blooded killers as you insinuate they should be through their adherence to the principles and laws in the Old Testament (Torah). The point I’m trying to make here is that you can judge them (moslems) by their actions alone and leave their vomitous heretical “Koran” out of the argument entirely and still reach the same conclusion about that hateful psedo-religios-cult. The Jews in Isreal are not strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up civilians including women and children. Moslems are… Actions… Not words… Anybody else out there see the difference?

The one thing Christians always had going for them was the fact that when they’re wrong, they eventually admit to it. It‘s what makes ’em great and prosperous. Instead of stewing in hate and envy, make it happen. It ain’t rocket science. Your problems aren‘t always somebody else’s fault.

I honestly cannot believe people would actually vote for him, he’s nothing more than a conservative mouth piece. As to some of the other comments, what happened to following our Constitution? Pretty sure we have something in there about freedom of religion. Also how many of you have read the Koran to judge it, and subsequently, Islam?

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 11:17amAmerican Soldier, you clearly don’t have a clue in which you speak. Usually, I don‘t debate or argue the Bible with those that don’t read it, but in your case, I make an exception. The “bad vibes” in the Old Testament were laws that the Jews lived under. They were actually a curse under God. To make it simple, the more stupid they got, the more law God put them under. Jesus, in the New Testament, fulfilled the law and prophecy and broke the curse they were living under. You either have love or law. Jesus is love so there was no longer any use for law. He gave only 2 commandments, love God and love your neighbors. If those 2 commandments are kept, there’s no need for any other laws. It’s that simple. Of course we have to have laws, because man won’t obey those 2 simple rules. The law under Moses wasn’t meant for the ruling class to abuse the people. It was a curse for all and history shows that. The Koran is not equivalent to the Bible and never will be. Islam is designed to be a government disguised as a religion. The Bible speaks against man’s governments and not to get caught up in this world. Islam is the exact opposite.

So you openly admit that conservatives don’t believe freedom of religion is in our constitution? That‘s the only thing that I can gather from you using the term ’new constitution.’ Also your use of the term cult to describe a world wide religion is pretty indicative. I could say the same about Christianity and Catholicism, but I won’t because I understand people have the right to believe what they want.
My overall point being that you can disagree with the teachings of their religion, but to refer to it as a cult just makes you come off as a bigot. Again, what happened to freedom of religion and love thy neighbor?

I was simplifying the idea. You made it clear. The old testament is vile and you know it, even admit it by saying that God did it to “punish the jews” and that the new testament excuses the old.

No you won’t understand. Your party is trying to write a new constitution and it is pounded into your head on a daily basis. Things are taken out of context, cotent and added to the original document constantly. I will assume that you follow along with them when they say, ” We don’t care about the constitution.”

Not really at all…. Jesus said he came to save the world but the world did not receive him and in fact hated him. He would like people either hot or cold not lukewarm. The word of God has always done one of two things either soften people towards God or hardened them. So it appears that God’s word had exactly one of these two effects for you. I hope someday it will have the other. Good day.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 4:12pm@ THEBATTLEAXE……..Hello friend. I would point out that a cult as defined technically is used to denote a group that identify and hold to a shared belief or personality. It makes no definition based on size of membership. However, the slang or connotation in modern times typically takes on a negative connotation meaning illegitimate or untrue or unreasonable in nature. To this point Islam is a cult in so far as it fits the definition of the former with the latter being more a matter of personal viewpoint or perspective. In this regard it is no more illegitimate than your view which is based likewise upon a belief about the questions posed. Therefore it boils down to it is a matter of opinion. Now if you want to discuss someones consistency about their opinions then so be it, however, realizing that opposing religious views by definition typically view others as false does not mean that you don’t defend their right to believe those things. You may on one hand call them a cult and on the other hand defend their right to believe those things without being inconsistent. I think based on GIDEONs post (not to speak for him) perhaps sect would have been a better term for him to use given what the main thrust of his argument seemed to be regarding Islam being an off shoot of Judaism/Christianity.

Posted on April 12, 2011 at 4:37pmToday, on the radio, when I heard Glenn and the other stooges making fun of Trump’s Presbyterian religion, I was so offended. They laughed like hyenas at a Christian. I am a Christian. It was mind-bogling crass. It was so cringeworthy that I turned off the Tues 4/11 11:00 am est segment. I cried and prayed. I was hoping that Glenn’s wife would to call in and say STOP! as she did when Glenn made fun of Obama’s daughters. (Actually, I found that funny.)
Glenn, I am a true believer in your world history lessons, God bless you for that. I’m an “Extreme’ member, who will not renew. Your authentic political jokes make me laugh so hard, I lose weight. My “core” is strengthened thanks to you and your radio cohorts.
But WTF is up with you and Donald Trump? Neither of you are perfect. Nightly and daily I pray for God’s protection and love for you and your family. Lately, I keep hearing “Pride goeth before a fall”.
Glenn, I thank you for your contribution to the political understanding of America. But, please, please don‘t criticize another’s Christian faith. I feel God is kicking me in the gut when you go off on Donald Trump.
You are Saul on the way to Tarsus. You have zeal, but it is misdirected.
You have gotten too big for your britches and you expound your opinions on every subject.
“Jesus wept.”
“Be silent and know that I am God.”
I am praying for you. In my prayers I feel that you have a hatred toward Trump because of his gampbling establishments. I don’t know your past, but do you have demons to exorcise?
I believe that you and your radio staff owe Donald Trump an apology.
If you reject my suggestion, is there another “wagon” you need to get on?

Again, you clearly demonstrate your ignorance, arrogance and contempt for God, Christianity and the Bible. You missed the point AGAIN so I’ll attempt to educate you one more time. The law was GOD’s punishment on the Jews yet made a promise of a messiah. The Koran is a form of government made by man to punish anyone that doesn’t abide by Islam with death and no promise of redemption. Why don‘t you be a man or woman and quit hiding behind this agnostic lable and come out and say you either hate God or don’t believe in him? It’s a cowardly view point. Much like being a moderate.

Again you are proving my point that you can‘t and won’t understand. I am not going to post the definition for cult, that is probably the only thing you may look up after all of this.
Freedom seems to have escaped you. America was a free country. When you have a group that threatens to take us down they would normally be considered an enemy. This means that we are not to embrace someone that has sworn to kill you.
Murder in the name of a religion is not freedom of religion it is premeditated murder.
It is the same story over and over again. They are accepted by you and your type because they are not Christians. That is all that matters. If a group of Christians, from another country, were threatening to kill Americans what would happen then? They would have the CIA, FBI, and all four branches of the military after them.
Now you tell me where the bigotry is in the facts that I gave you.
