TSA Chief: No Intel Pointing to Terror Threat This Week

WASHINGTON (AP) — Transportation Security Administrator John Pistole says there’s no specific intelligence indicating a terror threat to the U.S. during this Thanksgiving holiday.

Pistole says intelligence in the past suggests that al-Qaida and affiliated groups are interested in having a maximum impact with their attacks. And uniquely American holidays like Thanksgiving are attractive to them.

Terrorists have consistently targeted the aviation sector, which has led to enhanced security measures that have some travelers on edge at U.S. airports this year.

But, Pistole says, there is no intelligence pointing to a specific threat this week.

    I knew John as we attended a small private Christian college in Indiana. It seems that if he HAD ANY INTEGRITY he would have stood up to this stuff a long time ago; even when he was in the FBI (perhaps he was part of the Clinton’s wall that caused our attacks). I’m not sure that he had any FORTITUDE when he left college but he surely has NONE NOW. Start to do something in the right direction and take your family (you in disguise) to Reagan International and submit your family to the screenings of your underlings. And IF YOU DECIDED TO GROW SOME…..think like a REAL COP and PROFILE OUR ENEMY. This WILL keep us safe and restore some confidence in your position. After all, NO WHITE GRANDMOTHERS HIJACKED PLANES ON 9/11! …..OTHERWISE PACK YOUR SH*%….. you and the other WEAK SISTERS will be gone!

    this “intel” is also coming from the anti-Bush obama morons who were screaming when we first had to take off our SHOES, now they are okay with obama ordering us to be scanned naked and having their children’s genitals groped just because obama orders it.

    here is more proof how you know he was put thru a kangaroo court by obama and railroaded: in 2009 obama paraded Michael in full uniform AND IN HANDCUFFS thru 3 CIVILIAN airports and denied key expert witnesses to testify at his “trial” .. he faces 25 years in Leavenworth for defending himself against an AL QAEDA TERRORIST.

    TSA reduced threats just at selected airports? Yet there has not been any terror threats and no logical reason for the intrusiveness. There is no indication of terror this, or last week, or the week before that……………………? This whole exercise of staffing, government paychecks, gestapo uniforms and badges is actually just a ruse pulled at tax payer expense! Unemployment would be much higher unless these “tofu” jobs had been created. After all the other alternatives were picking up cans along side of the interstate and the cons had that gig. And the greeter at wal-mart position was filled by an 80 year old veteran. So the government tells the public the exists just for their safety?

    Hmmmm lets see, the government abolishes enhanced interrogation of known terrorists but is overwhelmingly in favor of enhanced pat downs of known NON-terrorists = NO INTELLIGENCE. Sounds about right.

    If the TSA is concerned with Explosives hidden on a person and that person passes through a Metal Detector, there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON to have a digital strip search done, its ineffective and doesn’t show an anal explosive or a surgical explosive. Pat downs are too intrusive and a true violation of our 4th amendment rights…

    Meanwhile I have seen NO ONE talk about the RIGHT WAY TO DO THIS…

    Airport Explosives detection, you step in, it blows a few jets of air against you and you walk out, it instantly tells the TSA agent if any form of explosive residue is anywhere on your person, apparently there is also a version that can detect illegal drugs (cocaine, pot, etc…) So no groping, no naked body imaging…

    I’ve been through one of these in FL just 2-3 years ago and didn’t even know what is exactly was until I just saw a segment last night on the Science Channel…

    I suggest everyone spread this link around far and wide, send it to every GOP rep in Congress and then ask them to ask the head of the TSA why these aren’t being used instead of the pat downs and body scanners which are useless and violate our 4th amendment rights…
