TV News Anchor in Libya Brandishes AK-47 During Broadcast

A newscaster on a pro-Muammar Qaddafi television show wanted to make a point about the greatness of the Libyan leader.
He used some serious firepower to do so, bringing an AK-47 to the anchor desk to prove Qaddafi’s willingness to arm his people.
“I’m ready at any time, awake or asleep, to defend the country. This is our weapon,” the anchor said.

Editor’s note: At least one Blaze reader believes that the gun involved here is an AK-74 and not an AK-47.

So, now they are spending our tax dollars and Obamania is going to help the al Qaeda in Libya and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The Muslim Brotherhood has already allied with the military in Egypt and now they’re running the show and giving women “virginity tests.” And, in Libya, they’re gang-raping women as well. It sounds like “democracy” to me. Democracy is mob rule after all!

And the government MSM said this would never happen. Only Fox News and Glenn Beck foresaw this? And Fox News is supposed to be the bad guy, where Beck is about the only one telling us the truth there?

It is troubling to see the similarities then and now, including pledging allegiance to a person (Hitler/Gaddafi/odumbo – as we saw bho, umm, umm, umm) rather than a Republic, or Constitution, or Natural Laws. It helps to remember that we outnumber and surround them. Remember God, pray that this EVIL will be turned away, prepare, and be willing to help others when the time comes – because it is coming.

When the media dredges up some English-speaking, college professor-type to describe the “rebels’ as democracy loving and poeac loving, I get nervous. Who are these rebels? Libya is a tribal society. What is the chance anyone of these tribes will prevail if Obama’s dad is deposed? How much more likely is it that a muslim fundementalist org will seize power?

Its also been admitted by a libyan rebel commander that some of his fighters are members of alquada. So we now know we are helping alquada take over Libya.

A westerner would be immediately recognized. Perhaps the French have Foreign Legion troops of Middle East descent in, but I doubt it. The British SAS found this out to their embarrassment. No my friend we are providing close air support for the rebels, there is no doubt about that. The question is…if we are preventing pro- Gadhafi forces from massacring pro-rebel civilians, will we also prevent the pro-rebel forces from massacring pro- Gadhafi civilians. Anyone who thinks we aren’t helping Europe secure its oil supplies and at the same time backing the rebel forces is not in touch with reality. We are backing a rebel force with close ties to Al Qeada and many of the rebels have fought in Afghanistan with Al Qeada. We just want to be liked!!!!

Report Post »It’s not an impeachable offense. (I am not saying it’s good, just pointing out it isn’t unconstitutional) Congress ratified a treaty with NATO in 1949. If NATO says we deploy, then we are obligated to deploy or we are in violation of international law. In short, this military action has already been pre-approved by Congress.
If Congress does not wish to be beholden to the dictates of the UN or NATO, then we should not be members of those organizations.
This is one of the many dangers of ceding your right to self-determination to… I was going to say “member states”, but “the nanny state” also applies.

If you think that the War Powers Act has been endorsed by and president than you are wrong. Don’t get his post wrong, I am NOT in favor of whomever is pulling the strings on our president, but we do not want the likes of Schumer having any power over our precious troops. If the occassion would arise that these senators had a lot of power (as the war powers legislation suggests) and we were in a war for our lives, these liberal senators, like Schumer could pull our troops and put them in deadly danger in a heartbeat.
