Two California Women Save Young Boy From Crazed Father Who Was Allegedly Trying to Cut Off His Son’s Arms in Ritual Sacrifice

Jaymisha Pires and Corey Granberry seemingly saved the life of an 8-year old boy on Saturday, after his father allegedly tried to cut off his arms as part of a ritual sacrifice in a San Diego cemetery.

The father, Joseph Ramirez, had already slashed open the boy’s forearms when the women saw what was happening, and they say their “motherly instincts” took over.

“My motherly instincts kicked in when I saw him hurting that little boy,” said Pires, who has two young children.  “It was a blur. I just wanted him to stop.”

Pires says she confronted the 30-year old man but he just kept repeating, “We’re going to Jesus.  We’re going to Jesus.”  At that time, Granberry grabbed the injured boy and the other two children the father had brought, and they all ran.

Ramirez was tackled by a 60-year old security guard soon after.

“It‘s all in day’s work,” the guard commented with a shrug.

Reports say that Ramirez had been hearing the voice of his dead grandmother, who (he believes) him to sacrifice his young son.

The man has since been been hospitalized, but authorities assure that he will be charged for child abuse and assault with a deadly weapon.

As for the boy, police say the young women saved his life.  Between the intervention and staunching his wounds with a t-shirt, they likely saved it in more ways than one.  However, the wounds were severe enough that he still required hospitalization.

Reports are unclear as to the status of the mother.

You said: “There is a parable where Jesus banished spiritual forces into swine [the men of Gadarenes]. But within the parable it says these demons [within the swine: Tares] will return when they fall over a cliff and “perish” in the seas.”

This is NOT A PARABLE. Read your Bible, please! Mark Chapter 5: 1-20

It would help if you had actually read the Bible instead of trying to remember something that I’m fairly positive you did not read but half-heard from someone else. I’m no expert on the Bible – but I DO READ THE BIBLE AND DOUBLE CHECK THINGS WHEN I AM UNSURE. And I read it over and over again – that is the only way to KNOW what is in there.

These women deserve some credit for saving this child’s life. I hope his dad never gets any of his children back and is never allowed to see them again. He should go to prison for a very long time, a proper sentence would be until he is so old he wouldn’t be having any new babies, too feeble to think of it.

There is a parable where Jesus banished spiritual forces into swine [the men of Gadarenes]. But within the parable it says these demons [within the swine: Tares] will return when they fall over a cliff and “perish” in the seas.

The seas are the nations, languages, peoples and tongues. These forces are returning. People have forgotten the dangers that past peoples understood. The only protection is to believe in the God of Abraham [YHWH]. It is time to humble ourselves, repent and pray. More of this will occur. These evil spirits will rise up like a flood. The “dead” are actually “familiar spirits”. These spirits are assigned to people and know many things from their past lives as a result.

The Satanists have been opening spiritual “portals” into this world [habitation]. They require blood sacrifice to do so. There is a reason the man did not resist when the women said Jesus’s name. Understand: the president and global elite are satanic. They hate believers and will soon act openly. Look up Lucis [formerly: Lucifer] Trust, which “advises” the U.N. Look at Nicky Minaj’s Grammy performance this year. The signs are here.

All of the bystanders just took pictures with their phones and the emergency crew set up a tent while the victim died. How on earth could these people in the UK pass up such a simple rescue and here we have these three heroes risking their lives. There has to be something that makes sense of it all. It’s obviouse Catholics DO teach the bread and wine turn into the LITERAL flesh and blood of Christ.
@hillbillyinny About John chapter 6 – if it realy is literal at the end when he is referencing communion, can you name me one person in the Bible that thought so and ate any piece of Jesus or drank his blood?

All of the followers of Christ since the founding of The Church on Pentecost Sunday–Jesus Body and Blood in the FORM of bread and wine–Matthew, Mark,Luke,John (especially John, the “beloved disciple”!), Peter, Paul, etc.). John even told us i this passage that “Many Yea, I know it’s a miracle, but we Christians believe in miracles, do’t we–God on earth, healings, feedings, “living water,” Resurrection and Eternal Life? As John 6:66 tell us, even at the time many could not believe this teaching directly from Jesus mouth: “From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.” Yet Jesus even pointed out the parallell to these Jews, of the Heavely Bread provided inn the desert, The Manna–a miracle, real food, and sustaining, which the Jews lived on for forty years, but couldn’t believe the “man” Jesus in His new teaching.

Don’t want to embrace a particular church, that’s your choice, you have lots out there, but in the minimum embrace The Lord,His Word and have His Spirit living in you. As Jesus said, “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” (John 15:12-13 NIV) The Holy Spirit will open the eyes of those who seek.

There is actually a difference, even clinically in the diagnostic code manual, between schizophrenia and the spiritual gift of prophecy. Usually schizophrenics hear voices telling them to do bad things. There is a diagnosis of schizotypal personality disorder which mentions voices, ideas of reference (thinking heaven or the universe is speaking to you through the TV, for example.) But there is an exception for those who live in a cultural context where this is a normal part of life, or spiritual gifts. Abraham lived in a culture where he was respected as the patriarch who listened to God, and through time the proof was seen by mankind. One things that indicated a miracle was the sacrificial sheep that God provided instead. Another were God’s positive, loving words of blessing, that his descendants would be blessed (or in covenant relationship with God) through all generations. Interdisciplinary trained professionals and priests learn how to discern between insanity, possession and true guidance from God. In Biblical times, if a prophet’s words did not come true he was killed.

Many people respected Jim Jones like, Walter Mondale, Rosalynn Carter, Governor Jerry Brown just to list a few, and they did it for the black vote. I could go on about how great Jones was, but whats important in anything is the ending, Jones ending wasn’t so great.

“Usually schizophrenics hear voices telling them to do bad things”
Judy, trying to kill a child is a bad thing ! What ever label or name you want to put on it, you are just putting a spin on a crime, what Abraham did was/is a crime.

There is a big difference between the experiences of Abraham and this incident. Most importantly, God had no intention of allowing Isaac to actually be harmed. Abraham is the only person that God referred to as his “friend”. God had chosen him to be the founder of a nation to which his own won would eventually be born. God was willing to sacrifice his son and required of Abraham to be able to do so also. He knew that one day one of Abraham‘s descendents would have to follow through with allowing God’s plan to unfold, even through a loved ones death. If Abraham had failed this test, most likely he would have become a footnote in the old testament and we all would be calling some other guy the founder of the nation of God.

“Do you support abortion” – No I have never told or helped a woman get a abortion, but 21 years ago I told my wife when she first told me she was pregnant, I said “it‘s your body but please don’t child kill our child” My daughter is now 20 years old and lives in Portugal, so I didn’t force my wife to have a child or force her to kill the child I let her make her own decision.
Men love to tell women what to do with their body, I gave my wife the choice.

“God had no intention” – Intention is a big confusing word, like when I go to the casino my intention is to win but I lose, and for the intention of another person or a god ? So if someone is holding a knife over you, you are guessing and hoping that their cruel intention is a good one ? That’s a oxymoron, yes.

“Abraham is the only person that God referred to as a friend” – Personally I wouldn’t scare my “friends” son with a knife, but thats just me.

As far as “. . . confessing to Priests. . . . ” What do you do with this passage from the Bible:

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16, NIV)

Probably ignore it, like so many “Bible Dhristians” do!

Lastly, before it comes up, the “extra books in the Catholic Bible” were not ADDED AFTER THE REFORMATION, they’ve been there since Jesus time, in the Jewish Canon until after the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD. Even the first King James version of the Bible included these books, they were only removed from Protestant Bibles after that time, I “wonder” why? The Jews removed them because of the high number of Messianic prophasy in them that directly pointed to Jesus. Maybe there were “things” in there that didn’t back up protestant thought, such as the concept behind Purgatory and praying for the dead. . .

This is why I use the King James, the word SIN is the King James is FAULT. The Greek word in the concordance is number 3900 and it means a side-slip, error, fall, fault, etc. The word(s) used as SIN in the new testament are completely different, number 266 for example is used mostly. I will read the chapter again to make sure I have the context right but it looks like it just means if you mess up admit it to others. Just sounds like honestly to me? Do you have another verse?

God doesn’t need a “go between” to be reached by his children. We go directly to him and do not need another man for forgiveness.

      @ papa

In the beginning of the new church, the leaders were not called “priest,” however, it was the leaders who were sought out to seek Spiritual Direction–including confessing of sins. Confession is just that to Catholics who use this form to grow in their Spiritual Life. Acts and thoughts that put strain on our relationship with God need to be straightened out. Remember, many in the early church through about the time of the Refermation could not read well themselves, and in fact, the Bible was not completely written or compiled fully into one “book” until St. Jerome took on the task in 4th Century. (See http://www.columbia.edu/cu/augustine/a/canon.html for a good outlines related to Bible compliation.)

In Acts 6, Peter states: ““It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables.” and directs that those should be appointed to take care of the daily taskes of the believers.

As Catholics we believe that Church is a family covenant with the Trinity (also a “family”), with Christ as the head of the Body, and each having his or her gifts. The church also believes that we humans here on earth need more than just “thought pictures” and uses tactial means to confer Spiritual blessings: Baptism, water; Confirmation, oil; Reconciliation with God after sinning, meeting with a Spiritual Counselor who acts in the sted of Jesus in the blessing of Forgiveness.

      @ Bandofthehawk: “God doesn’t need a go between. . . ”

You are correct GOD does not need a “go between,” although he did give us the Mediator, Jesus Christ.

But, once again, as humans we are a Spirit with earthly bodies. The Church provides we “children of God” Sacraments in order to completely understand what is going on and to provide guidance when there is the riff between man and God. We asked God to forgive our sins on a daily (or more often!) basis as involved Catholics. But we approach the Church as our God Family, to help us in our Christian development and to reconcile us using external examples. God through Jesus is how IS forgiving the sin! The priest is merely the vehicle, like water for Baptism, bread/wine (or grape juice for some) for the Body and Blood. . .
I know that non-Sacramentalists will have a difficult time with this concept–I was active in a non-Sacramental church since my birth! But, I am a person who uses ALL OF MY SENSES to learn–sight, hearing, touch, speech (love singing!!!), and even taste (just realize how I stuggle with my weight–I LOVE food!). Sacramental and liturgical churches use the sense to help tell the Gospel of Jesus–not excluding the written Gospel, but augmenting it for we “slow learners” of God’s children.

@Papapatriarch: Where in the story does it mention Catholicism? And for the record, Catholics do not re-crucify Christ. He was crucified once. What Catholics do at Mass is celebrate the sacrifice that He made for all. Furthermore, Catholics do not “pray to dead saints”. God is the God of the living and not the dead and Catholics believe that the Saints are with Him in heaven. What Catholics do is ask for the intercession of the Saints in Heaven for them. Saints are not “worshiped” as you suggest. Your obvious hatred of Catholics is born from ignorance.

You said your not a Catholic so you wouldn’t understand that everything I said is true. Some of these stories have even been here on the Blaze.
I’m not a profiler, but with a name like Ramirez I just took a guess.
Masses are said to buy loved ones out of purgatory (or pieces of them) in Catholisism, and some Lutheran’s do also.

Actually @ papa, we Catholics DO NOT re-sacrifice Jesus at each celebration of the Eucharist (Body and Blood of Christ), rather we follow Jesus command to “Do this in memory of me.” by partaking in His Body and Blood under the form of Bread and Wine. Jesus sacrifice occured “once for all,” but gathering around his table to celebrate our salvation continues daily throughout the world in our dedicated Church.

In the remembrance of the Passover, our Jewish brethern tell the story of the first Passover in the active voice, i.e., “I was taken from the land of Egypt; I ate manna in the wilderness; etc.” By using the active voice they are declaring that it is as if a Jew of today was present at that first Passover, stressing the importance of God’s provision and love. This is a form of thought that ties all time and eternity together.

In the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist, Jesus becomes present today, even as he was present at the Last Supper, the Passover Celebration, for all time and eternity!

You might want to research the “Jewish Roots of the Eucharist” which can be found in a number of books including one by this name by Brant Pitre.

Oh, and if I believe in the Salvation and Resurrection of Jesus, why would you think “Saints” would be dead? Why can’t I ask someone in heaven to pray for me, I’d ask you to if I needed a “saint” to petition God on my behalf!

Some “personal behaviors” (crucifition and flagulation) are NOT ENDORSED by the Churc

      @ Baddoggy

“The catholic Church is full of Mary worshippers and people who dont know the word of God. Heck they think they need a Priest to confess to. They are poorly taught and it ends up like this…”

As an Evangelical Christian who was reconciled with the Catholic Church 38 years ago, you are grossing wrong! I won’t even go into the list here, but several books can “update” you on what the Catholic Church actually teaching since the old “Chick Publications” tried to smear what is practiced and taught! Anything written by Scott Hahn, Brant Pitre, and especially “Born Fundamentalist, Born Again Catholic” by David Currie would give answer to questions you probablty haven’t even formed yet!

And, one thing you could do, it attend a Catholic Church Service (in English) on a Sunday. I think you will be blown away for the amount of Scripture that is read in every service–OT/Epistles/Psalm/Gospel, and the amount of scripture that is the basis for the prayers used throughout the service! I, personally, read the Bible through at least once a year–I attend and sing in the choir on Sundays and participate in daily Mass when I can. I probably hear/read more scripture than many “Bible carrying” Christian have heard in their life.

And what about the parts of the Bible that Fundamentalist and Evangelical‘s won’t talk about like John 6. . .

Some people might be Catholic but might have been in the past & have chosen another denomination or religion. If one has never been Catholic, many people learn the precepts of other faiths. It pretty much depends on the person & who is teaching them as to how much they know about other faiths/denominations.

You assuming that since they are not Catholic that they couldn’t possibly know is an awesome load of bs. I think you only comment to make people feel worse. Whatever, I have seen your type before.

      Right off Wikipedia =
      Transubstantiation From Wikipedia=
In Roman Catholic theology, transubstantiation (in Latin, transsubstantiatio, in Greek μετουσίωσις metousiosis) is the doctrine that, in the Eucharist, the substance of wheat bread and grape wine changes into the substance of the Body and the Blood of Jesus,[1] while all that is accessible to the senses (the appearances – species in Latin) remains as before.[2][3][4]
