Two Navy Women Share Traditional ‘First Kiss’ Upon Ship’s Return

A U.S. Navy tradition has caught up with the repeal of the “Don’t ask, don’t tell” rule on gays serving openly in the military.
The Navy said two women shared the coveted “first kiss” Wednesday when the USS Oak Hill returned to its Virginia base. Marissa Gaeta descended from the ship and shared a quick kiss with her partner, Citlalic Snell. The crowd screamed and waved Navy flags around them.
Naval officials said it was the first time on record that a same-sex couple was chosen to kiss first upon a ship’s return. Both women are fire controlmen in the Navy. They met at training school and have been dating for two years.
According to ABC News ”Navy officials said it was the first time on record that a same-sex couple was chosen to kiss first upon a ship’s return. Sailors and their loved ones bought $1 raffle tickets for the opportunity.”

It‘s bad enough they repealed DADT but flaunting it should put them on everybody’s list at payback time.
Don’t worry. Civil War II will get it all straightened out again, and it will be ushered in by this ongoing economic collapse that is being temporararily forestalled, but not for long. The military will break along lines of race, ethnicity and POLITICS.
I’m no longer a military supporter. I have to say I’m sorry to all the good guys, but there’s no way millions of us can support you now.
I’m hoping there will be a mass exodus from the military of epic proportions. I’m advocating DRASTIC CUTS in the military budget. At the present time they’re downsizing by about a million people, civilian and military. They need to cut it down even more,to the bare bones, until the homosexual supporting chicken hawks are screeching hysterically.
China, Russia, Iran, North Korea are all getting stronger as the US is getting weaker by leaps and bounds. There’s no way their people would put up with this kind of debauchery.
The empire is going quickly downhill in a hurry.

World histroy shows that every super power nation or civilization in history that has accepted homosexuality soon afterwards crumbles. science, medicine, statistics, and FBI crime reports tells me that homosexuals are 2% of the population, but carry and pass on 64% of the syphilis, 70% of the AIDS, commit 1/3 of the child molestations, have the highest suicide rates, and above average alcohol abuse and drug abuse.
So, am I to believe the God that created the universe, history, science, and accurate stats, or should I listen to MTV, Lady Ga Ga, Madonna, Woopie, MSNBC…., and degenerates like you? I believe I will side with truth, and leave the PC lies for the fools.

First off, I’m not gay and yes I am in the military. I’ve been serving for over eleven years now.
Anyone who isn’t a complete dult knows who the gay Soldiers/Marines/Sailors/Airmen are.
Here’s a clue everyone, WE KNOW WHO‘S GAY AND WE DON’T CARE.
The vast majority of gays in the military are not your San Francisco flamer, they are people who do their job and keep their personal lives to themselves.
I’m deploying again next year. My bravo team leader is gay and I trust him to lead his Soldiers because he is a good Soldier and a good leader. I’ve known long before the repeal of DADT, he didn’t know I knew until recently and I chose him to be in my squad because of his qualifications.
Let’s remember we can have our personal and religious opinions, but they are not always harmonious with the Constitution and it hasn’t failed us so far.
So get over the soap box of making it a bigger deal than it is. It won’t weaken the military. What weakening the military is all the other PC garbage of how we can‘t yell at Soldiers or make them do push ups and have to hold their hands and tuck them in at night because that’s what prepares someone to take another persons life.
Stop watching the left hand. My gay team leader has no fear of inserting boot in ass to ensure his Soldiers are prepared for war and I will gladly go to war with him over some sissified PC dult who couldn’t lead

Guess what soldier? I am in the military also, have 24 years of service (all in the Infantry) five years as an enlisted soldier, over ten years on airborne status, five years in the Ranger Regiment, and am now a field grade officer getting ready to pin LTC next month.
I have been around a number of gay soldiers over the years, and all have been problems. I have never served with a “good” gay soldier. As a matter of fact, last year on Fort Benning, fifty percent of all sexual assaults were commited by gay soldiers. Most were cases of where an NCO got a younger soldier drunk, then assaulted them sexually. I was a senior TAC at OCS and had a lesbian TAC officer. She spent most of her time trying to recruit other females into her sick lifestyle, and was absolutely worthless. If it were not for a stong NCO (Infantry) that was paired with her, her platoon would not been able to graduate. She was fired, and not fore being gay. She was fired because she was alll about herself and not the mission.
What you think is not worth a squirt of piss. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, not their own truth. Gays make up 2% of the population, carry 64% of the syphilis, 70% of the AIDS, commit 1/3 of the child molestations, have the highest suicide rates, along with through the roof alcoloh and drug abuse rates. If you think those numbers are condusive to a disciplined and lethal military, then you have no ability to apply logic or think critically.

Anybody who thinks opposing homosexuals in the military is someone who hates for the sake of hatred isn’t playing with a full deck, and, of course, he/she is a rabid homosexual for certain, and everything that comes out of their mouths is for the purpose of reducing valid complaints to having no authentic basis in reality.
Homosexuals are attracted to those of their own sex. They have no business being included in any kind of all male/all female units, because they reduce effectiveness. I’m looking for many of them to be killed by other troops who feel as if it is the only way to stop the rabid homosexuals in the Pentagon brass and within the Obama state department who are manipulating membership into a conglomeration of flakes, oddballs and misfits who belong in a freak show not a military unit.
They’re freaks of nature who have made themselves into what they are as surely as a drug addict or an alcoholic. They can be cured, but, like other addicts, they don’t want to be.
If they want to wall;ow in their perversions, keep them away from our boy scouts and our military.

I think I can agree with that. There are instances where other factors were involved, like multiculturalism and societal immorality and decadence, but homosexuality at the very least is always a part of that breakdown.
I’m agnostic…but spiritual….but don‘t believe it’s necessary to denounce homosexuality on the basis of biblical teaching as part of the tenets of a belief system, because nature instills in every one of us a natural revulsion to anything that is a threat to the survival of the species. Its perfectly normal. Anti-homosexuality is embeded in every normal human being. Without such an aversion, it wouldn’t be possible to perpetuate the species. It’s against the very laws of nature.
Someone on here tried to flim flam people into believing that homosexuality is part of the animal world. Nonsense. If one male animal mounts another it is strictly due to positioning and instinct and has nothing to do with a preference for same sex. That’s nonsense. Has anybody ever seen two male birds building a nest together? Homosexuality is contrary to every law of nature that compels living creatures to continue reproducing their kind. It has nothing at all to do with religion, so far as the laws of nature are concerned.

It is easy enough on me to just know the Bible says it, thus I believe it. I realize Bible arguments do not win in debates these days, as so few believe it anymore (to include a whole lot that claim christianity).
I appreciate your argument and abilty to just aply history, logic, critical thinking, science…. I find with most subjects/arguments where I have a belief based on Bible, that if you look at it with an open mind and apply facts, sceince, history, logic… that it just strengthens my belief in the Bible, becuase they end up with the same answer.
I agree with you that imorality is destroying this nation.

Yes, I think I can agree on that too, Ranger. At least for the most part. The bible tells us to pursue a moral path and sets standards for moral behavior, and in almost every case I can think of right now, Christian biblical teaching makes for a better society.

I chose the name moderationisbest because I believe most issues could be solved my moderation, unfortunately most people don’t feel the same way. I also chose it because unlike a lot of people, I am not solely devoted to one party on anything. I could agree with a conservative on one issue, but that doesn‘t mean I’m in the tank for them on every issue. Same goes for liberals.
I loathe big Government and wish people would take more personality responsibility in their daily lives.
I believe there is a well thought out, rational, reasonable and common sense answer to things like immigration that AREN’T either amnesty or deport everyone. Sadly, it’s usually discussed as “one thing or the other” which is why nothing ever gets done.

I don‘t mind ridicule and I don’t expect to find any common ground here.
That being said, I like Glenn Beck and like to support him.
Also, while I think it’s nice to find places with like minded people, I don’t think such places should become a save haven for ignorance, bigotry, hatred and irrationality. I will continue to come here and challenge these people on their irrational “beliefs” that they wish to shove down other people’s throats through the passing of laws.
I hope people don‘t get the impression that I’m anti Christian, or anti religion. I AM against such people wanting to turn this great country of ours into a theocracy where they want laws passed based around their beliefs.
I am pro nativity scenes or any religious theme symbol on private property. I would be perfectly fine if every single house in my neighborhood had a nativity scene out front. I don’t like the idea of them going onto public property though and forcing them on other people. I mean, they have their own property to display their beliefs, why do they need it on public property too?

Both of these woman graduated from Fire Control School so trust me, they are not dummies by any stretch of the word. They are technicians and repair the fire control radar on the ships they serve. That means the radar that controls the guns or missle system and its not an easy school to make it through. It is very advanced electronics and when I went through the school if you class GPA dropped below 80% for 2 straight weeks,,,,,you flunked out of the course. They made it, it says alot about thier intellegence. SO WHAT if they are lesbians, they dont hurt anyone being who they are. Good thing the Navy has these woman,,,,,,,,,not many are smart enough to qualify as Fire Controllers much less pass the schools required to have the job. I doubt many here could qualify to do what they do and yet they condem them for something that harms no one. Live your own life people and let others live thier lives,,,,,,,,,,I think they call that FREEDOM. Try it sometime instead of trying to be the taliban.

I don’t see how scientific evidence could strengthen your “belief.” Because once you have evidence, you no longer need a belief or faith.

Any who is a Bible reading christian know Jesus was not a white man. You obviously don’t know any thing about or around a Bible and a christian. How about you personally read it you go and try to factually disprove it with historical evidence.
Find out for your self by reading it and comparing the facts between God, creation, science and history. For some reason they all seem to tie together. Read and find out for your self.

The truth is, whether you like the Bible or hate it, it has been the most inspiring book of the western world for hundreds of years. People who have done amazing things in our history adored it. There must be a moral standard, and that is God. If you asked 100 people what they thought the greatest sin was, you’d have a myriad of answers. Ask God, and He will say that all sin is sin and there is none worse than another. So many people cannot grasp that.

Through personal experience, yes. I will try to be brief…
Prior to my conversion, I had moral beliefs and although I held most of them firmly, someone could come along with a rather intriguing argument and cause my beliefs to be bent a bit. (The power of a good debater!) I used to consider myself wise and open minded for doing so.
Then I accepted Christ, which was a very powerful spiritual experience. Within a short amount of time, my understanding of spiritual and moral things became very clear. It was as if the fog had lifted. An amazing experience that I still marvel at.
When speaking with other Christians, they relate similar experiences. It is not coincidence that we share the same views. It is not from reading a cheat-sheet on what to believe and what not to believe. It was purely spiritual. We are given the mind of Christ. (I Corinthians 2:16) Nothing we do ourselves. We have nothing to boast about.
Every single thing that God commands is for our own good, whether it is physical, mental or spiritual. He created us and knows exactly what it takes to keep us healthy.
I also am aware that this will seem crazy to you – probably nothing worth your time to consider. But it is the truth and you asked for evidence based on experience. This is mine.

I am not surprised that the first photo of a lesbian couple was Navy. The Navy has always been kind of “ify” on the whole gay thing.
I think the repeal of DADT was a mistake.
