TX Campaign Ad Features Rod Blagojevich Look-Alike Peeing on an Electric Fence

Roland Sledge Ad Shows Rod Blagojevich Look Alike Peeing on Electric Fence

Odd campaign ads generally make for entertaining discussion. After all, most Americans expect individuals running for office to stick to the hard facts — and let’s face it, most ads tend to be relatively dry. However, some political hopefuls, like 66-year-old Roland Sledge, aren’t afraid to electrify things a bit.

Sledge, a Houston-based lawyer who is running for a seat on the Texas state commission responsible for regulating oil and gas, has a new ad out that is gaining quite a bit of attention.

BoingBoing has a description of the the clip in question:

In the YouTube ad…the Republican candidate stares into the camera while standing in a pasture, and riffs on a Will Rogers quote: “Isn’t it about time we elected political leaders that have sense enough not to pee on electric fences?”

“Politicians run for personal gain and don’t know how to make hard decisions,” he proclaims in the clip. “With recent bailouts, unemployment and debt, they clearly don’t have the experience needed to run our country.”

Then, Sledge goes on to share his experience in the oil and gas industry. The camera subsequently pans over to a man (dressed in a nice suit) who is peeing on a fence (yes, an electric fence). However, as The New York Times notes, there’s something even more noteworthy about both the commentary and the individual depicted in the ad:

The line is a riff on an old quote from the cowboy humorist Will Rogers, who said there were three kinds of men: the one who learns by reading, the few who learn by observation and the rest who have to urinate on the electric fence for themselves. Mr. Sledge’s one-minute ad illustrates the point, showing an actor intended to resemble the impeached and imprisoned former governor of Illinois, Rod R. Blagojevich, pretending to relieve himself on an electric fence and casting Mr. Sledge as Mr. Blagojevich’s polar opposite, the kind of uncorrupt candidate with the common sense and experience to guide the state’s energy industry and, well, not urinate in life-threatening places.

Yes, lots of people don’t pay income taxes and it help libs buy votes. What they don’t consider is all the hidden federal taxes there are in every thing we buy. I would even try to figure our total taxes but they are way more than we know. Even food. As a farmer there are taxes many kinds in the price of the fertilizer. fuel, chemicals, seed, machinery and part all of which must be passed on. Hope I didn’t depress you to much.

Reminds me of a childhood limerick: “When he was young and had no sense, he peed on an electric fence. It zapped his d*** and then his b**ls, and made him sh** his overalls.”

What is that sitting (looks like) on top of his head? Surely that is not hair. This is a strange man who does not appreciate his pee parts enough to keep them out of danger. He may have to start squating if this behavior keeps up.

The admitted national debt at this point is enough to buy each “TAX PAYER” a pretty nice new home. They lile to say every man woman and child because it spreads it through the 50% that does not pay taxes. I don’t even know if it is 50% of able bodied adults or 50% of people of all ages don’t pay taxes. Probably the first by now but you never know with the government and especially this administration.

Further proof you can send them to college and have many degree‘s and even Nobel Peace prizes but if they lack the ability to apply and reason it’s useless.

Poor ol’ Rob Blago…the only Chicago-dem who dared to try and keep taxes from going up. Notice, after he was “convicted”, your Illinois-taxes more than doubled in a year-and-up! Wize-up sheeple! The progressive-fed-govt also “convicted” Sennator James Traficannt(sp?) with 100%-pollitically-trumpt-up charges…to necissarily “get him out of the way”…he was NOT a dem-sheeple to blindly promote their progressive agenda…”GET-IM!!”

    Mythbusters showed us…

#1: It only takes 65mA (65 thousanths of an amp) to kill you.
#2: A pee stream has gaps that increase the further back you are from the target.

You might get a zap from an electric fence if you stand close enough, but you wouldn’t get zapped from a third rail.

If I remember right, the current on an electric fense is not constant. It pulses. If you watch the charger unit a red light will flash to indicate the pulse.

I live in Texas and if Romney was not going to blow away the Blowhard in chief I would suggest putting an add up with him peeing on the fence. He is dumber that dirt.

Lets start a rumor that “only the one percent can pee on an electric fence” and then ask the Occupy fools what they plan to do about it. Since most of them are childish to the max, I would bet many of them would try it, that is if they have ever seen an electric fence..

Because Blago is a nationally know figure (caricature with his hair), known for his complete denial of being held accountable for his own stupid actions, even after convictions. He is after all, a democrat. And therefore shouldn’t be held to ANY standard, or have to obey any law, those are only for republicans don’t you know.

And if you used Obama, well, that would be racist.

Taking a leak on a shock wire fence; beautiful and painful. Not done it myself but have seen it happen with the whimpering and howling that follows.
