TX Motorcycle Group Takes Harleys to Western Wall to Stand With Israel

What do you get when you mix 71 tattooed Texans, motorcycles, Orthodox Jews and Israel’s Temple Mount? A prayer rally, apparently.

Mission M25 Motorcycle Ministry Is in Israel Supporting Armed ForcesAccording to Beliefnet, on Sunday, 71 Harley-loving Pentecostals, part of “Mission M25,” a motorcycle ministry, joined Jews who were praying at the Western Wall (the only portion of Solomon’s Temple that still remains).

The Christians, going to the location on a mission to seek solidarity with Jews, had long planned the historical gathering. And to stay true to their ministerial mission, the men shipped their Harley-Davidson hogs overseas from Texas to Israel — a process they described as seamless.

Naturally, with their bikes on hand, rather than arriving at the Western Wall on foot or by other more traditional means, the men revved up their engines and traveled by motorcycle.

Below, see footage of the group riding through Israel (captured on an iPhone):

After arriving at the wall, they prayed for the safety of both Israel and America and held a moment of silence for servicemen and women who have been lost by both countries in battle (Mission M25 is known for holding similar events in support of military members around the globe). Israel’s Arutz Sheva 7 has more about the group’s unique trip:

The motorcyclists are on a 10-day tour of Israel, visiting much of the country with a police escort guide. On Sunday, the group drove from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, stopping at the Armored Corps Museum in Latrun along the way, the site of important battles in the 1948 War of Independence. “The IDF has been so good about keeping this land free so we can come and visit it,” said Pastor Gary Burd national director and leader of the mission.

Interestingly, some local Harley-Davidson owners (there are only about 800 people who have these bikes in Israel) came out to support the effort. In fact, Simon Friedman, an Israeli, joined the group on their ride. Below, hear him talk about the Israeli military and his take on the group’s visit to the region:

In addition to Mission M25′s cross-country visit, members also brought $600,000 in medical aid, which has been passed on to a non-profit group in the nation.

Below, find a video update that the group put out this past Monday:

Aside from the obvious solidarity and the financial aid the group has brought, it is believed that the event will help Israel’s tourism industry. Arutz Sheva describes the 10-day, cross-country expedition as a potential catalyst to encourage tourism among American Evangelicals.

@ POORRICHARD – Forget the Rabbi’s, i wonder what the Palestinian guards thought when they heard the loud thunder of the hogs coming towards the temple mount. Did they hurridly alert their forces to prepare for an IDF attack? I would have loved to see the panic on their faces. THEN they see these burly guys with tattoos all over. It had to be something frightening.

Please ROSE-ELLEN..stop insulting our intelligence. You really think we’re oblivious to the anti-christian activity throughout Muslim -majority countries?
The church burnings and killings of Copts in Egypt?
Iraq’s Christian population is 1/3 what it was before the war. Chaldean Archbishop Louis Sako notes- “Nobody can ignore the threats…The situation of the Christians is bleak.”
Or the head of the catholic church in Turkey Bishop Luigi Padovese stabbed and beheaded by his Turkish driver who yelled “allah o’ackbar…I killed the great Satan”. There was next to no outrage over his death in Turkey.
What about your beloved Palestinians? Well in Palestinian-controlled Bethlehem..the birthplace of Jesus..the Palestinian Authority does not allow the sale of crosses to tourists.
In Lebanon it’s former president has said- “Massacres are taking place for no reason and without any justification against Christians. It is only because they are Christians.”
Let’s be very honest here ROSE-ELLEN…you support terrorism. You endorse the kidnappings, beheadings and bombings of civilians committed by terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan, Gaza and anywhere else they choose to. What you’re doing now is trying to dilute the caution and suspicion Americans have against Palestinian agents so as to erode support for Israel. You do this in this instance by trying to portray Palestinians as having something of a christian face..a gross inaccuracy on your part. You’re q

      @ROSE

I am a Jew. My family lived in Israel until we were forcefully removed by Romans when our Temple fell. My family moved to Spain, until again we were forcefully removed by the Inquisition. We moved back to Israel at this time to what was until at that time the predominantly Jewish city of Hevron, where we lived until the 1920s when we were very violently forced to leave by the Muslim neighbors during the Hebron Massacres. At that time we moved to Jerusalem, until again we were forcefully removed by Muslims during the 1948 War.

Thus, my JEWISH family lived in the Land of Israel, before there were any Muslims, let alone these Syrians/Trans-Jordanians you call “palestinians”. We would like to go back to Hebron, but the anti-semitic so-called “palestinians” made it a death penalty to sell land to Jews and openly admit that any future Palestine, would be Judenrein! (btw: that would exclude Jesus today as well)

Lastly, your claim that these so-called “palestinians” were there since Jesus’ time is just patently false. There were no “palestinians” until the mid 1900s. How do I know? My family was there, they weren’t!

If I as an american am a buddhist-it doesn’t give me the right to live in the homeland of buddha[if that were relevant to a religious narrative].Or my buddhist descendents. A european or american jew has no more legitimate claim to land where people already live because either their ancestors or their religious history started there. And of course arab jews lived in the ME and lived there peacefully with arab christians and muslims until the european zionist interlopers unjustly claimed jews from europe had a right to claim that land.Today arab jews are discriminated in israel by european and american zionist jews. The european zionists are in reality europeans-They may share an ancestor with the jews of the ME but they look, talk and their culture is european. To claim that because they can trace their religion to the ME makes them mid easterners is fallacious and arrogant. It’s also irrelevant to the reality that there are people living there already. Those muslims in palestine may in fact themselves have ancestors who were jewish[or christian]They are mixed wiith people from arabia and with all other influxes of people and with the original inhabitents of the time of jesus;jews So even by your criteria their ancestors are jews too.As much if not more then european jews who may or may not share an ancestor with middle eastern jews[they could very well be converts].Oh many Russian emigrees to israel in the 70′s were in fact Non Jews who lied to get aliya[right of return].

There would be no christians in the ME if it were true that muslims did not tolerate christians or jews. What is happening today is political-christians were economicallty priveleged by western colonialists and with the uprisings against western backed dictators-tensions are now coming to the fore. Prior to western meddling the 3 faiths lived there in harmony [Jews and christians would have all been killed a long time ago if what you say about islam were true]. Neither christians or jews are considered infidels by muslims[they all believe in God-Allah means God]. The tensions are policitcal. Of course when america invades and occupies iraq -the collaborators are killed. Many christians collaborated with the americans hence their churches were burned down. And with the christian zionist alliance today that adds to the divide. It is a modern day result of the political situation there[american[christian activists like this group- one sided support of zionism and unjust meddling]. Arab jews today are discriminated against by zionist european jews in israel. Many miss their arab countries and feel duped that they embraced euopean zionism.Prior to western meddling they were all simply arabs-and the 3 faiths had their separate court systems respecting their different beliefs about what rules conform to God’s will. Religion was law for these people who were not european..

What a difficult road you have chosen to explain. On one hand you reject the Jews claim to the area called Israel based on their continual presence over 3500 years. Then claim the present Jewish occupants have no claim because they have no cultural connection to the land, because their Parents or Grand Parents came from Europe.. It seems you are on both side of the argument

To what bombs are you speaking Rose-Ellen. Every American attack in the Middle East was the result of retaliation to a Corrupt political government or extremist group that the inhabitants there of support by not suppress, voting for and not confronting the injustice that many Muslim and Middle Eastern radicals (like you) profess.

See, it is my humble opinion that there is no innocence in war. Any inhabitants of a region that allow an oppress government to attack other sovereign nations is not innocent. They are inherently responsible for not standing up for truth and peace. They are no better than the Germans who did not agree with Hitler but refused to speak up. Instead you martyr them in order to justify your own hate speech rather than be rational and approach America and Israel in a sense of tolerance and understanding. Instead you proclaim that you are justified in attacks based on attacks that were in response to an initial attack.

Meanwhile, we and Israel have bombed previously and state we wish the end of the bloodshed on an agreement of peace and coexistence. However, you and your ilk refuse to coexist. You are the reason the conflict continues, not us.

Rosy Ellen,… This is such an easy thing. Name one Muslim dominated country that is not either a brutal religious theocracy or a brutal dictatorship. It is sad that Islam is not conducive to freedom and individual rights.

Islam has been a failure for the people for over 1,000 years. The reason Islamic countries can’t succeed and escape the failure it brings is very simple. If you follow the teachings then you as an individual are unimportant and everything that is important is defined by Islam. In this setting the culture is frozen and can’t change or improve. There is no need for government or equal rights and treatment. Islam is the answer to every question and as a result Islam is the reason every country that has it as the dominant religion is either a religious dictatorship or ruled by a brutal dictator. No other form of government is possible.

The Arab spring will only replace government dictators with religious dictators. It is impossible to have freedom and human rights when Islam does not offer those. Iran is the best example of where the Arab spring will end. Had a brutal Shaw that tried to keep the Islamic nut jobs in check. The nut jobs won out and now it is a brutal Islamic regime.

Israel on the other hand is a free democracy where all are allowed to participate. They protect everyone’s religious sites and keep them open for all that come in peace. Not like the Islamic Taliban who set out to destroy every bit of history that was not

This is for your sensei. What the hell is wrong with you? Were you dropped on your head as a baby OR do you have a metal plate in your head?

I stand with the arab [palestinians] as long as they’re occupied and will always believe the zionist interlopers were unjust to claim a right to create a state where people already existed on religious grounds and to insist jews had more rights to be there then people already there. That is racism and against the american priniples of universal human rights and human equality.

@ rose-ellen That is because your a hack and don’t have one thought brought about through individual contemplation. How wonderful it is that you allow others to think for you by telling you what to think by feeding you lies.

You really need to study primary source history. Everything in it contradicts your theory. The Jews have lived in what is now called Israel for over 2000 years (even during the Ottoman Occupation). The only thing 1948 did was bring back the country of Israel.

      ROSE,

Wow, you gotta love the projection. In her revision of history, she places Muslims in Israel before Islam even existed. Jesus died in 36 AD, Mohammad’s so-called “revelation” began in 610 AD. Hmmmmmm that was 574 years after Jesus already died.

The Christians in that area also came AFTER Jews. (I think that one self-explanatory).

So……not only angry and emotional – but WRONG! But worse, is trying to tie these mythical “palestinian” people to Jesus, she ignores the fact that the entire story of Jesus revolves around the Jewish inhabitants of Israel. (Jesus, the apostles, The Temple, the crusification…) Thus, JEWS were there then as well by her own argument.

Who is revising history now? The reality is that Jews have had a continuous presence in the Land of Israel before there was either a Christianity or Islam.
