United Nations monitors trying to get to the scene of the latest reported massacre in Syria were “shot at,” U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Thursday.
Syrian opposition groups said at least 78 villagers were murdered in Hama by pro-government militia forces Wednesday, Reuters reported. Up to 40 women and children were said to be among the dead.
Addressing the U.N. General Assembly in New York, Ban called the latest reports “shocking and sickening” and an “unspeakable barbarity,” according to the BBC.
“I just learned a few minutes ago that while trying to do so, the U.N. monitors were shot at with small arms,” Ban said.
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemned the Syrian government for the reported massacre, calling it “unconscionable.”
“The regime-sponsored violence that we witnessed again in Hama yesterday is simply unconscionable,” Clinton said, according to the Associated Press. “[Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad] has doubled down on his brutality and duplicity, and Syria will not, cannot be peaceful, stable or certainly democratic until Assad goes.”
The Syrian government called the claims “absolutely baseless” and blamed armed terrorists for what it said was a similar attack, according to the AP.
The situation in Hama comes on the heels of a horrific attack in the town of Houla that left more than 90 dead.

Posted on June 7, 2012 at 5:56pmRemember under Bush when ever a hellfire was used from a Predator over Pakistan it was always a wedding ceremony that was blown up. Under Obama, our Predators can use hellfire missiles at pin-point accuracy with no collateral damage to date. I mean that is truly amazing – especially since under Obama, the amount of hellfires raining down has tripped to even include American Citizens. Do you hear those Crickets out around the Lefty Liberals?

Chickens pooping in the rain run off ponds? BAM. No more cows! Bam! No more chickens! Get your beef and chicken while you can!! I can just see Barry sittting in the Oval office with pics of cows/chickens trying to decide which ones should get it first! There will be no INNOCENT cows, or chickens, as by their associating with the targeted cows, they MUST be guilty too!

Posted on June 7, 2012 at 5:51pmand we should care why?? These are the same people that shout “kill the infidel Americans”. Let them kill each other. Its just more Muslims stepping onto the throat of other Muslims. Which country in the middle east does this not happen?? Oh that is right, I forgot, Israel. Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Muslims can live in peace if they let others around them live in peace.

Posted on June 7, 2012 at 8:58pmAlawites are more Christian than Muslim, but really neither. They celebrate Christman, Easter, Mary, John the Baptist, etc.
Muslims have never considered them Muslim, it’s just that the gangsters running Iran find it convenient to pretend they are. They have always been on the side of the Christians, from the Crusades to when France ran Syria. The Christians abandoned them when they created Syria, Assad’s grandfather begged them for a country of their own, and said the Muslims would persecute them, which of course, they did.

Russia and China have reduced America’s stature in Foreign Affairs, but the MSM is busy with Obama‘s joke at last night’s gay fundraiser. Is President Romney’s going to fix this mess? I doubt it.

Posted on June 7, 2012 at 1:57pmThe UN is the last group that should be going into any country where genecide and murder are taking place. They have stood still and watched ‘presidents’ of many countries murder their own people. Then they allow said murderers to become part of ‘peace’ processes or ‘women’s rights’ committees.
The UN, along with Russia, China and many of the Islamic countries all have blood on their hands. They scream and yell about ‘infadels’ and ‘Jews’ and how they want the US and Israel ‘removed from the map’, but the UN does nothing. Iran threatens every country, including his neighbors, but the UN does nothing. China and Russia refuse to condemn the execution – at close range – of little boys and girls in a Muslim country. I now picture Putin with a gun in his hand slaughtering babies. I thought he was untrustworthy before, but I had never considered him evil. If I were either a Russian or Chinese citizen right now, I would do all in my power to get my children out of Russia. I no linger trust that Putin won’t turn his gun on his own people.
Report Post »However, the UN doesn‘t seem to have a problem with murderious ’leaders’. They live on US soil, receive diplomatic immunity, partake in all the freedoms, rights and comforts that they would never receive in their own countries, then they thank the US by trying to overtake them and become the new ‘decision makers’ for the greatest country in the world. Move the UN to Syria. I will pray for them all.

We had our civil war, let them have theirs.
No joining it, no funding it, no manipulating it.
In the end, the various sides will just join forces and become one…laughing at the USA all the way to the bank with our foreign aid check.
Flock them and the UN as well…sideways with a splintery 2X4.

Posted on June 7, 2012 at 1:30pmI don’t care about the Syrians. They made their bed and now must sleep in it. I can say, however, the Syria is fighting rebels. If I thought these rebels were pushing for democracy I might feel different about them. We know what they are. They are Muslim brotherhood and the like. They are more radical than what Syria has in power now. Assad is fighting a civil war and on comes the UN to butt in. Who is the UN? A better question is ….who do they think they are? Yes ..there are massacres. Maybe Hamas, or the MB or ones like that are doing them. We don’t know right now and is is NONE of our business. Let them fight each other. Who cares?

The videos show Syrian rebel brigades proudly posing with the al-Qaeda flag and protestors holding it high.”
