U.S. Border Agent Shoots Rock-Throwing Man Trying to Illegally Cross Border

A man who was attempting to illegally cross into the United States was shot and killed last night. A U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent fired a single shot at the man after he began attacking agents with rocks and pieces of wood. According to NBC San Diego:
Two agents called for help from San Diego police, saying they were being attacked with rocks and sticks near the border fence line around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Investigators said the incident involved three people crossing the border fence east of Dairy Mart Road near the San Yisdro Port of Entry.
The incident began when one an agent noticed a group of three men attempting to permeate the border. He called for backup and when a second agent came, two of the men fled back into Mexico. The third suspect, though, was captured by the border agenda, despite resisting arrest.
It was at this point that one of the escapees began throwing rocks and wood from the other side of the fence, injuring one of the border agents. It was in the midst of the scuffle, the agent fired a single shot. According to The Los Angeles Times:
The Border Patrol agent who fired the fatal shot was described only as a three-year veteran. The agent who was struck in the head was treated at a local hospital and released, police said.
San Diego police are further investigating the incident. Watch below for a report from KSWB-TV:

They are stonewalling the congressional investigation by not releasing info or directly answering questions, under the guise of not disturbing the investigation of the inspector general. Note to the media, when police shoot they are told to shoot for the middle of the mass, otherwise they will miss. If he was illegally crossing the border, using rocks as his weapons, then the police have every right to defend themselves.
