U.S. Ends Space Shuttle Program, Will Now Hitch Ride with Russia?As the U.S.  marks the end of an era with the conclusion of its 30 year space shuttle program, Russia gains control of access to the International Space Station. While NASA claims it is not ending its space exploration entirely, any manned mission the U.S. seeks to deploy will rely on the use of Russian spacecraft — to the tune of $52 million per use.

Vitaly Davydov of the Russian Space Agency does not believe Russia has necessarily “won the space race” but rather that “one stage has ended.” He also voiced his wish to work together with the U.S. in future space programs.

    Lets give a big hand to all the progressives in the United States that has chipped away at our exceptionalism since the Woodrow Wilson era . Way to go!

    I think you guys should really set up your political platform with this great achievement. Barry should use the NASA logo with a big line across it displaying his success and accomplishment. I mean Johnson, Carter and Clinton can also take a bow as well. Pretty soon our national credit rating will drop, State after State will shutdown, go bankrupt or tax their population into oblivion creating hyper inflation and then America will be just like the rest of the world. Thank you Progressives take a bow.

    NASA‘s discovered to its surprise that the ’Black Hole’ of the Universe is living in the White House.
    Imagine Americans accepting a neophyte naive President destroying the very same institution that once put a ‘Man on the Moon’ as requested by one of the Greatest Presidents of all time John F Kennedy.
    NASA a testament of the greatness of the United States no longer on life support because of this long legged Mack Daddy pimp Barack Obama. History must never forget, it was Barack Obama who shut down America’s leading role as explorers in the exploration of outer space.

    How is making our astronautics ride on ancient Soyuz rockets better than using our aging (but reasonably reliable) space shuttles? Ever seen how they land those things in Central Asia on the return? Guess we’ll rent rides from the Russians until American astronauts die one day, then Obama will be forced to own this sorry situation.

    NASA said it is really cranking up a new Space Exploration vehicle.
    One wag who saw a model of the new space vehicle from afar said it looks like a broom.
    That guy had good eye sight. Must drink lots of Carrot juice.
    The damn thing is a Broom.
    Moochelle Soetoro is said to be the first to take it for a spin since she has more experience w/ these kinds of crafts.
    A reporter “axed” the prez about this and he replied,She (Moochelle)can handle it. Nothing to it.some of my Mombasan relatives were witch doctors, one even delivered me.these crafts were the main form of transportation for them waaay back when.

    Obama gives 2 Bil taxpayer money to Brazil so that we can buy their oil, but wouldn’t let us explore and use our own resources here .
    Obama gives billions to NASA for ‘moozie outreach’ but stops funds for our actual moon and space programs.
    Obama gives billions of taxpayer dollars to moozie-bros in Egypt but sends his thugs to TEAparties.
    Obama & Hillary transfer billions of taxpayer dollars to taliban , and treat American people in our own country like terrorists, in airports.

      Don’t forget that Obama scrapped the NASA Constellation program.
      A system that uses mostly existing technology and would keep us in space using our people and technology.
      Liberals have always hated anything to do with space.

      Maybe we could say we have found extraterresterial aliens and that they need our help.
      Then they’d be all for spending money in space.

      Remember just a few years ago when President Bush wanted to reinvigorate the space program; I had revived dreams of the glory days … but then again Bush spent way too much while in office (not nearly as bad Obama but still too much) … still confusing – we’ve been living beyond our means & are just gonna have accept cuts everywhere we can – hopefully they won’t be as damaging to our pride

      we were paying less than a penny from every tax dollar to support a program which was a shining example of American Exceptionalism … we are now going to pay through our hitchhiking agreement with Russia for a billion dollar upgrade of their space program … do the math at $52,000,000 per astronauts seat it will only take 19.23 astronaut trips for us to pay for Russia’s new launch facilities while we loose thousands of scientists and engineers while mothballing our facilities … Ending our program is political correctness combined with severe frontal lobe deterioration! PS The shuttles were designed for 100 trips to space each and we have a private company which has been petitioning to continue the Shuttle Program why isn’t this a part of the discussion?
