UFC Fighter Suspended From Coaching Job for Obama ‘Threat’

The Blaze first brought you the story of Jacob Volkmann after the UFC fighter said he’d like his next opponent in the ring to be the “not too bright” President Barack Obama. “Someone’s got to knock some sense into that idiot,” Volkmann said last week — a threat that apparently warranted the attention of the U.S. Secret Service who later paid him a visit.
On Wednesday, Volkmann told the Huffington Post that he regretted his contemptuous words for Obama, especially in light of last weekend’s violent shootings in Tucson, Ariz. “I would never make that comment if that shooting happened first,” he told HuffPo.
Volkmann, who runs a chiropractic business was reportedly upset with President Obama after he signed Democrats’ health care overhaul into law last spring. “I’m a chiropractor, so I know the health care situation is not good, but he’s making it worse,” he said.
In addition to running his chiropractic business, however, Volkmann also serves as a part-time assistant wrestling coach for his local White Bear Lake High School in Minnesota. But his comments about Obama have landed him in hot water with school administrators who have since put him on paid administrative leave. According to Volkmann, the school district‘s director of human resources told him Monday that the district would be investigating his comments and other statements he’s made about the president in subsequent news interviews.
Volkmann claims the school district was forced to take action against him after parents complained about seeing him on the news. “The biggest problem was that I was wearing White Bear Lake High School hats and shirts (during interviews), and that was why parents were calling in,” he told the Star Tribune.
“I don’t feel like I was representing the school in a bad way,” he said. “I’m not just being an anti-Obama person. It is just these two polices is what I’m talking about.”
Volkmann said the school was most upset about his comments about waning to fight the president. “Their main complaint was that I said he was an idiot, which was probably a bad word to use,” he said.
Though he doesn‘t regret commenting on President Obama’s policies, he admitted he probably should’ve chosen his words a bit more carefully.
“The only thing I regret saying is saying that he’s an idiot, that is a bad choice of word,” Volkmann said. “I have a chance to make a difference with something that is affecting my life, why not?”

Posted on January 14, 2011 at 1:42amThe Progressive agenda just kills me. Literally. Obama is nothing more than a local lawyer, hack, a political organizer who before public office did nothing which contributed to the futhering of the gross national product or the society at large. He was a politcal “hack”, a community organizer at his best. Nothing to dwell upon on his best day. A “who’s that“ made into a ”he’s the bomb” in a moment of national weakness.
A political point of view; Progressive; an agenda that supports euthanasia has the balls to monitor threats against its most ardent supporter; Obama. Obama should be sacrificed for his progressive left-wing agenda. Once he becomes near MLK in stature, he can become a marter; a sacrificial lamb for the “cause”. In the “progressive” tenant and their own words, anything to further the cause should be exploited. I have heard better speakers in my statistics classes. What fools elected this bafoon?

Posted on January 14, 2011 at 10:08amIf you really want to know what Obama is….try reading RADICAL IN CHIEF by Stanley Kurtz. You’ll have a better understanding of what a “community organizer” really is. They make progressives look like kittens. Saul Alinsky would be proud of Obama and the Midwest Academy!

“Parents calling and complaining”??? Sure maybe 2 or three parents. But instead of the School Admin actually having a pair and saying “Thanks for your complaint but who gives a rip about something so childish”. Nope… the school has to up the ante and go even more childish.
As one who works in public education, the teens behave with more maturity and common sense than the faculty or the Admin more often than not.
If I was this guy I wouldn’t apologize for saying idiot, or saying fight. I would say though, “Really I’m not some bad person or some hardass, it’s just that the rest of the world is filled with thin-skinned wussies.”

Posted on January 14, 2011 at 12:44amWorking as a civil servant, which includes teachers, coaches, municipality, and state workers, you are going to be held to a higher standard when you make remarks publicly. What he said may have been a threat or it may not have. I don’t know the guy personally so I am not qualified to make that judgement. Regardless, it may give your employer cause to fire you if they take it as one, right or wrong. We had a coach fired locally because he went out and was observed doing 5 shots on his birthday. He did nothing illegal, got in no trouble, just did some shots and they fired him when some parents complained that he was setting a bad example for his kids. This kind of thing goes on everywhere and the only reason it‘s publicized is because it’s about the President.

Posted on January 14, 2011 at 12:32amWell Mr Volkmann, there are a lot of people that agree with your comments and it’s too bad about the suspension. You have to be really careful about your words when talking about the Democrats as they are very thin skinned and very hateful. We we’re all able to take a peek inside the liberal political machine when only 2 hours after the Tucson shooting, the left went on their own verbal shooting spree aimed at conservative talk radio. No proof, no evidence, but more telling is the complete silence from the president of the United States for 4 days. However, if it smells and acts like an idiot………

Posted on January 14, 2011 at 1:18amYou are correct- free speech does not exist in the workplace. Speech is not free from repercussion either. When I first started reading this article my first thought was to get angry because I do not believe that the fighter actually made a threat on the president. He invited him into the ring with him. But, in life speech always has a consequence- sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Posted on January 14, 2011 at 12:27amGiving an opinion is not an actual threat. They used this man as an example to frighten anyone that dares to express an opposition to obama. Did he say that he would carry out a plan to do physical harm to the president? NO. He said that the president needed someone to knock some sense into him. Well I think that obama should loose his position as president for the threats that he has made to the GOP, conservatives, the tea-party and FOX. Didn’t he tell the latinos to punish their enemies meaning us? It is amazing how these rules only apply to us and not the progressives. It is sort of like what the NPR did to Juan Williams for giving an opinion. Double standards, wouldn’t you say?

Posted on January 14, 2011 at 5:39amTHE REPTILIAN BRAIN
Now we go below the surface “reality” of the neocortex and into parts of our brains which are still a great mystery to the infant “upstairs.”
These intelligence centers have enabled life to survive in varied forms for millions of years. They are not to be discounted even if they don’t speak the language of the neocortex.
Again, I will be general.
The reptilian brain is the most ancient of the brains. It has two hemispheres, just like the neocortex, and it may be that they relate functionally to the left and right hemispheres of the neocortex. The reptilian brain consists of the upper part of the spinal cord and the basal ganglia, the diencephalon, and parts of the midbrain – all of which sits atop the spinal column like a knob in the middle of our heads.
It is thought to represent a fundamental core of the nervous system and derives from a form of mammal-like reptile that once ranged widely over the world but disappeared during the Triassic period having provided the evolutionary link between dinosaurs and mammals. All modern mammals have this reptilian complex, including humans.
(It was the interbreeding or fusing of reptilian DNA to mammal DNA which created the Illuminati reptilian-human hybrid bloodlines and allows the “purest” of this breed to move between human and reptilian form.)
First and foremost among the traits generated through the reptilian brain is the drive to establish and defend territory. This is fueled by an extremely potent “will-to-power”, exemplified among lizards by the ritual behavior of two rainbow lizards competing for dominance. These animals have beautiful colors and like many lizards, use headbobbing and pushups in assertive, aggressive, courtship and greeting displays.
In a contest, once the gauntlet is thrown down, the aggressive displays give way to violent combat, and the struggle is unrelenting. In victory, they are tyrannical dictators in the extreme. In defeat, they lose their majestic colors, lapse into a kind of depression, and die two weeks later.
(This is classic Illuminati behaviour. Fighting each other and humanity to the death to impose their will and dominance. Winner takes it all)
At least five human behaviors originate in the reptilian brain. These have been denoted as isopraxic, preservative, re-enactment, tropistic, and deceptive.
Without defining them, I shall simply say that in human activities they find expression in:
*
obsessive-compulsive behavior
*
personal day-to-day rituals and superstitious acts
*
slavish conformance to old ways of doing things
*
ceremonial re-enactments
*
obeisance to precedent, as in legal, religious, cultural, and other matters
*
responding to partial representations (coloration, “strangeness,” etc.), whether alive or inanimate
*
and all manner of deception
