UK Man Calls Police to Report Alien Sighting…Ends up Being the Moon

The 911 emergency equivalent for the United Kingdom, 999, receives some rather interesting calls, as you would expect.
But recently they received a call reporting a UFO sighting. You won’t believe what it actually was:
It was the moon. Or, perhaps this man was creating an alien encounter from his own imagination. A recent study reports that people who say they’ve been poked, prodded and probed by creatures with bulbous heads and large, slanted eyes says that it’s really just an out-of-body experience.
According to LiveScience, researchers at the Out-of-Body Experience Research Center were able to train 20 participates to create alien-like encounters while in a dream-like state:
According to lead researcher Michael Raduga, more than half the volunteers experienced at least one full or partial out-of-body experience, and seven of them were able to make contact with UFOs or extraterrestrials during these dream-like experiences.
Raduga designed the experiment to test his theory that many reports of alien encounters are actually instances of people experiencing a vibrant, lifelike state of dreaming. If he could coach people to dream a realistic alien encounter, he said, that could prove that reports of such encounters are really just a product of our imaginations.
In order coach participants into experiencing and alien abduction, Raduga, who founded the research center, told them to “separate from their bodies” when they woke in a half sleep. If they were able to then dream about being separate from their body — you know, when you see yourself in the dream — they were told to find some aliens. And some apparently did.
Daily Mail reports a few volunteers’ experiences:
Craig, said, ‘I took a nap from 10:40am to 11:20 am. I was having difficulties in falling asleep so I thought nothing was going to happen. After awhile I must have fallen asleep as I noticed a floating type of sensation.’
‘I told myself to go see aliens. The next scene I was near a mountain in a clearing with trees around it. There was a space ship. There were two aliens with helmets on. They also had a type of robot with them.
‘It was about 7 ft tall and was silver in color. The aliens did not appear to be friendly. When the alarm went off I felt like I was 100 miles away and it was difficult to come back to the physical body.’
Another volunteer reported, ‘I made myself open my eyes and I saw a typical-looking extraterrestrial at the other end of my bed: it had a huge head with large eyes, a small body with thin arms, and dark-green skin.’
So what is more believable? Conjuring up alien experiences in your mind? Are they real? Or are they the moon?

We got a suite at the Luxor (we were one of the “1%” then) that had a really nice window-wall looking out towards the desert. One night we were watching the tourist helicopters flying around Vegas and ALL OF A SUDDEN (dunt, dunt duuuuuuuuuuu) We see this bright light (thought it was a light from an helicopter) come screaming in at “light-speed” and just stop. WOW. And then it started to move and then all of a sudden (dunt, dunt, duuuuuuuuuuu) it zipped across the sky lickety-split! True story. It was pretty cool to watch. I’m thinking it was some military jet flying to or from Nellis. :)
