(The Blaze/AP) — A mosque in southwest Missouri burned to the ground early Monday in the second fire to hit the Islamic center in little more than a month, officials said.
The fire at the Islamic Society of Joplin was reported about 3:30 a.m. Monday, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office said. The sheriff’s department said the building was a total loss. No injuries were reported and no charges have been filed.
“The whole thing was on fire,” 15-year-old Omar Ahmed recalled. “As soon as we turned on 32nd Street and Black Cat Road, you could just see the pillars (of smoke).”
He added: “It’s unbelievable…It’s a house of worship. It’s a place of God.”
Imam Lahmuddin, who leads the mosque and was in the building until late Sunday, said he was “sad and shocked” by the fire.
“I’m still in front of the building looking at the damage and nothing can be saved,” Lahmuddin said in a telephone interview Monday. “But since we are people of faith we just can remember that this is a thing that happened because God let it happen, and we have to be patient, particularly in the month of Ramadan, control our emotions, our anger.”

A blaze at the same building on July 4 caused minor damage and was determined to be arson. No arrests were made, though the FBI has offered a $15,000 reward for information leading to charges in that fire. The agency released video footage of what appeared to be a man starting the July blaze that did not cause extensive damage.
FBI spokeswoman Bridgett Patton said the agency is investigating the cause of the latest fire and whether or not it was also the result of arson.
“It was really burning when we got here,” Carl Junction Fire Chief Bill Dunn said. “The fire got inside and broke through the roof.”
Dunn noted that an accelerant may have been used.
Sharon Rhine, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, added that the center’s security cameras were burned, bu the FBI will be attempting to recover footage.

About 50 families belong to the Islamic Society of Joplin, which opened in 2007 as a mosque and community center. The FBI led an investigation in 2008 when the mosque’s sign was torched, though that crime also remained unsolved.
Lahmuddin, who has lived in Joplin for about four years, said several people were at the center late Sunday and, despite the attacks, the center’s members have good relationships with residents and other churches. He is mainly thankful that no one was inside the building, because he says members often sleep there during Ramadan.
The imam said it was troubling that the mosque was torched right after a Sikh Temple was attacked in Wisconsin, in terms of religious freedoms.
“I heard that yesterday, and this morning we see this happen in our place…” he said.
Lahmuddin concluded: “We are more fortunate that no one here got hurt in this incident.”

You don’t know what Atheism is, you don’t know what Satanism is, and clearly you don’t know anything about Hitler.
Lets play your game. Atheists killed 100,000,000 people in the last 100 years. Fine, lest assume that’s true.

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 3:16amSo let me get this right! During rahmadan, muslims stay at the mosque, does it surpise anyone that somehow nobody was there? First question I have is why wasn’t anyone there? 2nd one, the Imam happens to link this with the Sikh’s shooting after the Left claims they “the sikh’s were muslim” and ties this with the Sikhs shootings? WOW, doesn’t anyone see the Coincidences? It just so happens people didn’t have a sleepover at the mosque? Something stinks about this and the words “never let a good Trajedy go to waste” keeps popping into my head! Well is it to far fetched that maybe they started this themselves to use it to incite muslims around the World and in the US? Is it possible someon left something on? But once again the blame game starts and the Rights to blame! I sure love how were so divided as a country!

There not coming to the United States to be “American”, there coming here to hopefully someday change the way Americans live. I would like to think “Differently” but I can’t. Since the United States has been involved with Muslim Countries they have been doing nothing but causing “Havoc” in so many different ways it’s hard to comprehend sometimes. I have to be honest, I can’t stand the people either, but there are more “Diplomatic” ways to handle things rather then burning a “Mosque” down. They will just go and build another one at some point. There beliefs are very “Radical” and “Scary” and it’s not like the “Women” have any say so as far as decision making goes. And God forbid the Daughters wanna marry someone there actually in love with. Most likely “Muslim Dad” will either “Run” the daughter over with his car or “Shoot” her dead. Yes, being a Muslim is such a “Treat”. This country better place its other “Oar” back in the water and start rowing the right way

Using our defects of character and free will to manipulate us according to those goals, those that live in denial are his puppets. Where do I start? The Jews having Jesus crucified by the Romans, continued persecution of the Christians, Constantine connecting with the Romans to create the Roman Catholic church under the guise to stop the persecutions. (don’t forget the inqusitions) See Fox’s book of martyrs. Christianity had spread throughout much of the Middle East (North Africa, Persia, Asia Minor) The Roman/Catholics could not have that so they used Kadija/Warqa (Catholics planted in Muhammad’s life) to exterminate the Christians. Their plan backfired when Muhammad visited the cave of Hira (Bukhari V9B87N111) where satan took control by physically assaulting Muhammad causing fear and terror which led to suicide attempts and causing one of his demons to posess him. After 400 years the Catholics began the european crusades to push back the legacy of the monster that they instigated. The Jews are tied to Rome and the Catholic church who are tied to Islam and they hate Christianity (don’t forget the protestant distortion 1625AD). It is about satan fighting against the Gospel of Jesus. True Christianity is not a religion, it is a way of life. In the Name of Jesus, God Ble

You’re not a poor person… less than .01% of the population of America is poor. “He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap…”
(Psalm 113:7 ESV)
As you can see… the poor are in the ash heaps… in the dust. They aren’t owners of cars, homes, and big screen TVs.
As Christians we are expected to love and help the poor. To do this most have to go out of the country since there are so very few here and many of those are poor by choice and don’t want help.

Report Post »Dear Eric, your response may actually be a great beginning of a very important discussion, but then I will be called “a troll” again.
Nevertheless, I want to touch a few subjects in your response.
You’ve actually repeated my belief that “helping people isn‘t in Gods ’to do’ list.” It’s in the purview of individuals.
But this persuasion has its drastic consequences: it makes the common famous phrase “So help me God” absolutely senseless.
It also strips God of such attractive qualitative adjectives as “Almighty,“ ”The Merciful,“ ”tender,“ ”loving” etc. because if God doesn’t show those qualities in a shape of help, then those qualities exist only in an imagination, aka fantasies, of people.
We love repeating (like parrots) John 3:16: “For God so loved the world….”
Where was that love when God annihilated cities, towns, tribes, nations, and the entire world (remember the Flood?)?
Where was that love when God allowed:
Bolsheviks to murder Dozens of Millions God-loving, God-fearing civilians;
Hitler to murder Dozens of Millions God-loving, God-fearing civilians;
Mao to murder Dozens of Millions civilians;
Pol Pot to murder 2 to 3 Million civilians;
etc.
???????????
If He can’t, He is not Almighty.
If He didn’t want and let people to do it by themselves, out of a principle “in the purview of individuals”, like a bystander who witnesses as a thug is murdering a kid on a street and does nothing to save the kid, what a monster

Ah yes, worship of allah, the moon god with no sons but 3 daughters (!). Mohammed (may his tribe decease) was the lucky winner when he played “pick the real god” by throwing out 359 of the 360 idols in the Ka‘ba and leaving allah’s idol in place.
Mohammed’s prize was to receive the title of prophet, along with the injunction to kill anyone who wouldn’t submit to the allah (who apparently couldn’t defend himself against the doubters) that he proclaimed and to make up the rules (as per “revelation”) as he went along, even if a later rule contradicted an earlier one.

Also, though I am not muslim [but a religious Orthodox Jew], I will mention that the great Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon [maimonides/Rambam] held that [as most Rabbis today, to my knowledge] that Islam is monotheistic religion…despite as you state about the former Arab condition or even suggested mixed idol worship with the teachings of mohammed. Even if they were mixed, that is not different than, to state a fact, the Roman Catholic church’s teachings which have since been diluted in many/most branches of Christianity.
All this said, I have no problems with either Muslims or Christians in general [not to be confused with their teachings, which I obviously don't agree with], as I have friends and associates on both sides, and also have experienced both earlier in my lifetime, before I felt led to live the life of a Torah Observant Jew.

The police questioned someone in Wisconsin about involvement in that attack just because they had a 9/11 tattoo on their arm. In the near future it will be a hate crime to display or possess the American flag…just watch and see.

Always suffering under the thumb of some vague and ill-defined “other” who keeps you from succeeding in life? You know who shares those kind of thoughts? People like Mark Chapman and The Joker and Mr. Skinhead in Wisconsin. Keep your crazy in check, captain, or we’ll come tie you to a gurney and wheel you into the corner for the next few decades.

Posted on August 6, 2012 at 10:13pmAnd you won’t find any answer because the American lifestyle is a life of complacency and leisure. The food you grow is genetically engineered to be easy, people who have home gardens usually plant that which grows easy. I can tell a lot about people by their plants – and Americans in general can’t stand taking the dirt road.

Posted on August 6, 2012 at 10:01pmThis is exactly what the administration knew would happen. We are at war against terrorist, the MSM and the government tells us these terrorist are Muslims. They have allowed Islam inside our country and those within our country who are beginning to feel threatened are reacting to the hate that is being taught by the Islamic leaders in the Middle East and in our very own country.
The invasion of 14 million illegals was also supposed to create the same reaction when unemployment went through the roof. This is nothing more than the progessive socialist working their plan to divide and conquer our great nation.
When it intensifies look for the government to begin to intensify it’s investigations and arrest of those associated with hate groups who are acting out against the Muslims and illegals.
But rest assured the this administration will not address the terrorist of the Islamic faith who they continue to allow to live here and the ones they have allowed release from custody who have committed terrorist acts since their release.
They pit Americans against Islam, they pit white Americans against African-Americans and finally they pit the unemployed Americans against those illegals who undercut their wages for manual labor jobs. Let us not forget the number of immigrants from India that are taking engineering jobs from our newly graduated college adults who presently show an unemployment or underemployment rate of nearly 50%.

How can you say that Kim Jung is an atheist?
That entire family believes that they are Gods.
It is reported that Kim Il Sung is referred to in their Constitution as “The Eternal President.“ and they still refer to him as ”The Great Leader.” His son Kim Jong Il was only the head of the Army and party, the father was still the head of the country(even while he was dead).
It is reported that when Kim jong Il was born, that the mountains roared and that birds sang in Korean.
Does that sound like an Atheist to you?
Does that sound like a person who doesn’t accept supernatural explanations for things?
The entire culture of North Korea reeks of a country dominated by dogmatic, supernatural, religious worship of someone as “more than a man.”
