‘Under God: Indivisible‘ Conference Will Tackle America’s ‘Spiritual Crisis’

Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Love“ event is now just weeks away. In addition to the exciting happenings that will unfold at Cowboys Stadium, there will be numerous coinciding conferences and meetings going on from July 26-28 (a full list of events is here). Among the initiatives is “Under God Indivisible,” a conference that is separate from but held in conjunction with “Restoring Love.” The event will focus upon American values and the need to bring the Almighty back into the mainstream.

Under God: Indivisible Conference to Coincide With Restoring Love

On Friday, July 27, some of the most intriguing faith leaders from across America — and from numerous denominations — will come together at High Point Church in Dallas, Texas, to participate in the leadership event. It’s primary purpose? Calling America back to God.

Under God: Indivisible Conference to Coincide With Restoring Love

In addition to hearing from an array of speakers, attendees will gain a great deal of information about the issues unfolding in the U.S., while engaging in prayer and other forms of worship. The end goal is a reawakening that serves to stir the nation’s heart. A web site setup to promote “Under God: Indivisible” reads, in part:

Every significant turning-point in our nation’s history (from the birth of this republic to the abolition of slavery and the civil rights movement) was preceded by a great spiritual awakening, when people of faith joined together in prayer and purpose.  In spite of their differences, they found common ground to address shared concerns.

There is little disagreement that America is now in a spiritual crisis, but we believe the situation is far from hopeless!  However, the church and those with faith in the living God are the only hope to see our nation’s perilous course corrected.  It is our responsibility to hold up godly standards, allowing truth and the principles of our founding fathers to guide our path. [...]

This unprecedented day begins at 2:30 pm…[and includes] a panel discussion among these exceptional leaders, sharing their insight on matters of faith in the public forum and how to express specific concerns among our congregations and in our communities.  This session (for pastors, priests, and rabbis, along with other ministry and business leaders) will give attendees an opportunity to ask questions of their own.

Under God: Indivisible Conference to Coincide With Restoring Love

Speakers at the event will include: the Rev. James Robison (he’s co-hosting), Dr. Tony Evans, Father Jonathan Morris, Pastor John Hagee among many others (a full list of speakers can be found here).

Under God: Indivisible Conference to Coincide With Restoring Love

“We have organized the…meeting to emphasize the importance of another great spiritual awakening,” Robison says of the event. “We’re calling for people of faith to seek common ground to effectively address our legitimate concerns.”

Planning to attend “Restoring Love” — or live in the Dallas area? You can get more information about the “Under God: Indivisible” conference here.

On one hand Glenn Beck’s The Blaze posts that a pastor in Singapore faces life imprisonment for absconding $18 million dollars from his church to help his wife’s singing career… and on the other hand promotes meeting with Televangelists, who have majored in being uncorrectable and minored in covering up scandals and nurturing an illogical, unquestioning tithe-flock. No brainwashing to see here! Move along, rube-brains! Move along!

You need to look at and RESEARCH these men of God. Not completely sure of one whose picture is on here, but the rest are all men of integrity. They are NOT televangelists, just because their preaching is shown on TV. Don’t be so quick to trash someone you obviously know nothing about!

Beck, who appears to be perfecting the art of becoming uncorrectable, wants to meet with those who have. Televangelists have kilt their God-given consciences, else they’d forgo (as would Beck) their jets. But Beck likes his jet? And therefore, he must have the company of other jet owners?

I Killed the Monkey on My Shoulder
    By Robert Winkler Burke
Book #3 of In That Day Teachings
    9/30/08 http://www.inthatdayteachings.com

I killed the monkey on my shoulder,
The one no one else could see,
I killed the monkey on my shoulder,
The one that spoke to me.

I’m a preacher of the gospel,
    My theme is prosperity,
    My monkey said it’s a self-interest sham,
    So I shot him eventually.

Though I shot him with big enough pistol,
    A Colt forty-five,
That damn monkey went back on my shoulder,
    Very much alive.

The next Sunday I preached rapture,
    Our coffers were getting low,
Nothing like fear of the beast,
    To make the money flow.

    But my monkey objected,
    To everything I said,
So I killed him once again,
    Hoping he would stay dead.

This time I ran over him,
    With my ministry car,
Flat as a pancake he was,
    He wasn’t going far.

    Next Sunday was Super Sunday,
    So I spoke of football,
My monkey returned and told me,
    I had dropped the ball.

I cut him up with a butcher knife,
And rammed him down the sink,
I laughed while the garbage disposal,
    Munched away on pink.

      On Sunday I preached intellectually,
      Glorifying my brain,
My monkey returned to my shoulder,
      Saying I had missed again.

      I ripped him to pieces,
      With my bare hands,
      I felt so anointed,
      In my right stand.

Now I preach whatever I want however I want,
      A rainbow of styles,
Prophetic Jabberwocky, Mojo-Jive or Baby Talk,
      All I get are smiles.

My monkey is dead as nails,
      Of this I am sure,
He no longer visits or bothers me,
      Because I’m now so pure.

      Honestly, I do hate correction,
      It’s so very immature,
Let that spirit bother someone else,
      As I open heaven’s door.

      I’ve gained so much power,
      Since my monkey is gone,
My sheep see everything as I see,
      Without objection one.

      Anything is possible,
      With uncorrected faith,
      Just kill your monkey conscience,
As I say, the bible saith.

      Believe me, anything is possible,
      With uncorrected faith,
      Immerse yourself in this doctrine,
      And enjoy my same fate!

[Glenn Beck... ugly can't cast out ugly! WarpSpeedPetey,

You might want to try developing a complex mind! It’s fun to acquire!

For example, Beck’s audience appears to be at the bottom of a steep learning curve.

And that base is where one discovers how slightly smarter leaders deceive and con and make books sale-slaves of…. slightly less-educated followers. That would be Beckbots and tithe-monkeys who send their all to Televangelists.

Now the wile-packed, rube-creating, low-level radio broadcasters insist their audience MUST buy their next “life-changing” book, book number 8, or book number 16, or book number 23.

Or is it the wile-packed, rube-creating, low-level Televangelists that do that?

It’s easy to mistake the two groups as one, because they both do it.

Both low-level groups: low-level radio broadcasters and low-level Televangelists each have the same solution: Worship your self-exalting, authority figure! And never question this authority figure, who can fix all things… if, that is, you send him or her lotsa money!

They use fear (rapture, soon-coming war!)

They use greed (7-ways to success, get-GAWD’S-blessings!)

They use laziness (never suspect this oldest of cons accomplishes nothing but getting conmasters rich!)

And they use folks like you, WarpSpeedPetey, to run interference!

Our Founders always pointed out the Kings of the day had devoted court lackeys, defending the tyrant’s enslavement of other brains.

      They brook absolutely no opposition,
Televangelists who terra-form the earth to create blind rubes!
They say, God will bless you, son!
If you send cash so that their form is on Earth’s TV tubes!

They beat all opponents until disabled,
      Creating their perfectly desired result,
      They make human cattle incapable,
      Of questioning their greed-mired cult.

They say they are saintly, unapproachable Evangelical,
In the biblical work of Jesus Christ they do,
Which always ends up: finance-absconding heretical,
They say they’re great! But is it really true?

      They brook absolutely no opposition,
Insisting God blesses who sends bursts of cash to them,

      Televangelists brook absolutely no opposition,
      Although they always, self-reeling, implode,
      Televangelists apparently can’t be abolitioned,
      Un-flushable is their self-dealing mode.

      Tyrannical politicians love all televangelists,
And you can guess the reason why,
      Televangelists make rubes, removing risks,
For tyrants to rule by fiat lie!

Why is the world such a mess?
With broken progressive-socialism and sovereign debt to the sky?
      Well, it’s anybody’s guess,
Maybe it’s our regressive televangelists making lie-lovers, say I.

(In a few years, Beck will rue the day he teamed up with the corrupt televangelists of Give-to-Get indulgence idiocy.)

(One thing you can bank on… Televangelists will never say that Madison warned people against leaders NOT being angels. All televangelists insist their rubes never question their tithe-to-the-self-dealing-leaders.

Televangelists will never become collectively obsessed with learning and improving anything… but how to get more rubes sufficiently blinded and blinkered until the sheep are dumbed-down enough to collect unending tithes and executive jet love gifts and wing-tank-filling offerings.

The premise of this event is all wrong. There is no spiritual problem in America. There are churches on every corner. Plenty of parochial schools and plenty of these multi millionaire pastors to go around. This really has nothing to do with making America truly better. It’s about trying to extend religion further into government and lives of all people, even if they don’t want it. These events have been happening for decades but due to sensible laws, all religions are kept where they belong, not in the public arena. But the most important part of this is the money! The pastors and whoever runs this event are salivating knowing the millions of dollars they will take in from the “tithing” scheme. Maybe I’ve been wrong about this christian thing. It can’t be that hard to start a church and extort money from my followers. Something to think about.

Sadly-I believe you are all right. There is a spiritual problem in america in that preachers do not preach against sin any more and most are slaves to money and the 5013c. IF preachers would again become real men of God and stand for Him and against evil, things would change…
However, sadly they don’t have to charge much for the tickets because once they get thousands of people there-they get you address on a card and send out millions of solicitations in the mail which will bring in millions of dollars to their accounts. Jesus would NEVER condone this. He didn’t even have a place to lay His head.
The separation of church and state thing is nonsense…I mean didn’t Michelle Obumma tell us the best place to talk about these issues is church?”

They were for you :) You posted a link in reply to my statement that authority comes from God. One of the joys about listening to sermons and reading theology that I have is the perspective that different Christians have on the Bible. The message is the same, salvation is the same, but God made people to be different. In those clips JM talks about how we as Christians have no right to create policies to force our views on non believers. I find myself wanting to make a difference to change my world so that I don’t find myself complaining. But really the best thing I can do is share what I have with others and accept feedback with love. <3 Perspectives and roles we have regardless of what denomination or views we have make us uniquely able to reach out to everyone with our love from all types of backgrounds :) Not relevant to anything in particular just random by nature. Happy 4th!

Beckwill, Im reading “The Harbinger” right now. It doesn’t paint a pretty picure and it rings true. I know that in the end victory is ours, but I’m certainly not convinced that the U.S. is victorious. You should check it out, it will make you the life of the party like me. :-)

      Yo Gonzo:

God does indeed bless the efforts of His children … does He not work through us? No effort, nothing to bless. Not sure of the big deal about this book when it is all in scripture for us to see and be warned by. All one has to do is read the Prophets and see the parallels. I am proud to be an American, but in the end it is not about America it is about The Kingdom … that should be what concerns us the most. There are many prophetic statments out there concerning the break-up of this nation … our pride has blinded us to what can happen and how far we can fall !

Read it and decide for yourself. It is all in the Bible, but this book just really brings the similarities between ancient Israel (and it’s downfall) and the U.S. into focus.

Gonzo, don’t miss the key, the Harbinger is like a warning. Yes. Israel went into captivity because idolatrous leaders led many to sin against God. But America has a choice. We can turn back to God and He will hear us. If we stay strong in numbers our votes will count, they will matter.

Without a return to GOD ALMIGHTY, a mighty shifting of our society back to its JUDEO CHRISTIAN roots, we are doomed. But, you all know that.

Blessing and miracle await each and everyone who attend and those of us who cannot, but long to be there with you. May GOD BE PLEASED with HIS kids’ heart, minds and souls as they focus on HIM.

Praying on intentionally and fervently for the entire three day event; hedging it before, during and beyond in JESUS MIGHTY AND POWER-FILLED NAME, amen.

ENCINOM You obviously have no knowledge of history. And I doubt you’ve ever read the Founders in their own words? The 5000 Year Leap? Ignorance is what is destroying this country! You obviously have the freedom to believe or not believe whatever you want. But you do not have the freedom to simply make up your own history and facts.

Perhaps Encinomoron you can explain this then that happened on April 30, 1789 (Washington’s inauguration day for the historically challenged as yourself)

” On the morning of the day on which our illustrious President will be invested with his office, the bells will ring at nine o’clock, when the people may go up to the house of God and in solemn manner commit the new government, with its important train of consequences, to the Holy protection and blessing of the Most High. An early hour is prudently fixed for this peculiar act of devotion and is designed wholly for prayer” – from the New York Daily Advisor April 23, 1789.

And on that day for 30 minutes bells rang calling the nations people to prayer. After the swearing in ceremony, led by Pres Washington, the entire body of the Congress, all Representatives and Senators walked to St Paul’s Chapel where Pres Washington led in a prayer of dedication of our new nation into the hands and providence of Almighty God

Jesus F’ing Christ are you people idiots. Either you are repeating the non-sense history from the Harbringer (still no proof of a convenant) or you are citing Mormon works of fiction as proof, (The 5000 Year Leap is largerly debunked here http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2010/10/18/101018fa_fact_wilentz?printable=true).

@kaydeebeau the fact that a prayer service was scheduled for the day of the swearing in (the News article is dated nearly a week prior) is proof of nothing, nor is the fact that church bells rang after the fact (thoug citation is not given) . Read your bible, with the First Convenant and the New Covenant, there was something tangible to mark God’s agreement, whether it was the tablets that 10 Commandments were written on or Christ himself. With this the scam artist author can offer nothing more than a pray service which is no different than any other pray service held to mark any other special occasion, its no different than the one the Fighting Irish have prior to the start of a football season. The only proof you have is a prayer service being held, even Obama went to Church before he was sworen in and had preachers deliver Benedictions.

The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints is not monotheistic and the jesus he now calls savior is not The Christ God made man.

he context of Psalm 137 is the Babylonian captivity. The Psalmist speaks of the captors tormenting the people of God (vv. 1-3), a promise to remember Jerusalem (vv. 5-6), and a curse against the captors (vv. 7-9).

“The Psalmist is in exile and had probably witnessed the atrocities committed against his people, babies included. In the revenge-style that was so common at the time, he wishes the same upon his enemy as a description of their utter destruction. Nowhere does it say that God approves of the Psalmist’s request or that he fulfilled it. Just because it is recorded that the Psalmist wrote the imprecation, doesn’t mean it was approved by God.”

      Educate yourself.

Way to take a statement completely out of context to make it fit the lie you tell yourself. The Medes and Persions destroyed Babylon in 539 B.C. Many of those who were oppressed lived to see the vctiory. The phrase about the infants is harsh because the psalmist is crying out for judgement. It is a cry to God in response to pain and suffering. Jesus had not yet been born.

In the context that I wrote it (biblical) it is correct. I didn’t say that god approved of it or that it was godly. Now, I hope the rally organizers keep Matthew 6:5 in their hearts lest they be hypocrites.

Matthew 6:5 is to the INDIVIDUAL, not to a group of people praying together in one accord, least you know of what you speak.

No matter what context you wrote it … you are incorrect
