Union Ad Accuses GOP of ‘Everything Except Wanting to Eat Children’

Less than 24 hours away from election day, some groups are pulling out all the stops. Including one group that has produced a new attack ad Mytheos Halt at National Review is calling, “[the] most desperate, ugly attack ad of the season,“ which he sums up as accusing Republicans ”of everything except wanting to eat children.”

That’s really not as big an hyperbole as you might think.

The video is called “I Remember, So I’m Voting, and Not Republican”:

The ad was sanctioned by the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, a union affiliated with the AFL-CIO. In October, the group was part of the “One Nation” march in Washington, D.C., and boasts about that participation on its website.

    Unions have increasingly chased moderate Democrats out of the party and into the Tea Party, and Republican ranks. The majority of America sees how the overpaid, and corrupt Unions take taxpayer money for their pensions and bloated salaries. Thank you Unions for helping seal the Democrat parties fate tomorrow.     I remember which party was in control in congress even with a Republican president who stopped the Republicans from trying to stop Fanne Mae and Freddie Mac from stealing the taxpayers blind. I remember which party tried to stop the fraud and the illegal activities in Congress. I remember who has saved us from more terrorist attacks. I remembered to vote early for the Republicans! I really remember to make my own decisions, to do my own research and not just do or say what my Union Boss tells me to do while the Union management steals money form my pension plan to pay for politicians who are crooks and who will bail them out to replace that money by taking from middle class tax payers and giving it back to the crooked union bosses. Yes, I remember.

      They remember all right, when they had jobs. They remember when the government forced banks to lend to them for houses they could barely afford and then repossessed their homes when their jobs were lost. They remember when America had almost no debt at all but now has a 13 trillion dollar debt.

      The fault isn’t all the Democrats or the Republicans, ith fault lies with all Americans who won’t demand term limits for Senators and Representatives. The fault lies with Americans who won’t bother to keep tabs on what the Washington eliteists are doing. The fault lies with Americans who won’t write their elected representatives and demand a balanced budget. The fault lies with Americans who blindly follow and vote parties without researching what these people are really doing. The fault lies with Americans who allowed NAFTA (Under the Democrats) and the Free Trade Act (Under the Republicans) to make it easy to outsource products formerly made here.

      How about this as a possible solution to the attack ads (most seem ot be particularly vicious this season), let there be a cut off point of 48 or 72 hours before the elections so the final blitzkreig of ads will not jam the airwaves, and maybe people will not get so disgusted that they will not vote for anyone.

      The white people in this ad all look like they’re either in prison or on their way to a bowling alley in a prison. The blacks/minorities all look clean-cut and professional. Maybe I’m over-analyzing it, but this portrays whites as stupid criminal-looking hicks and blacks/minorities as law abiding voices of reason, a theme I’ve been noticing a lot on TV in the past two years.

      What I like best about this election! The unions wasted $220 million in union dues. The worst thing about this election! They will now want us to pay for their retirement and health care since they wasted all that money trying to reelect Democratic Socialists. If I was still a union member I would be mad as hell over not having any say in how my money was spent and on which candidate. Seems union officilas only support those who increase their power.

      Emotional assertions; no context; no facts. Dozens of books and thousands of essays have argued for and against each of the assertions contained in the video. Saying that the New Orleans disaster occurred on the Republican’s watch is not proof of culpability. Unfortunately, it is a very effective video.

      The irony you spew is deafening. Some do obviously use these words ******, but you know this since you use obvious liberal undertones to attempt to show the hypocracy of us Conservatives. Go play with your friends on the left and stop pretending to even know half of what we believe. The ad is their beliefs and although filled with multiple inaccuracies and falsehoods is a powerful message for those who believe it. This is a dangerous ad to Republicans because it uses half truths, so it can not be recounted as being all false. I have no doubt it will sway some lesser independants who don’t know what they believe or why, but won’t sway people who know the real truth or do the research.

      Very typical of the Progressives! It is all about them and lies which are a pathetic joke on their own stupidity! What a sick joke these pathetic people truly are on the Obama administration! I remember when we were not make fun of by a President who is supposed to serve all Americans not just their own pathetic party! I remember when I quit teaching, a profession I truly loved but was taken over by the unions and have watched as our American education system has become a total joke across the world! Overpaid teachers who do not teach as exhibited by the terrible scores on end of year tests by those poor students who haven’t learned anything but have been indoctrinated with union facts which are not the real story! God help our country as we see our children are now pathetic pawns of our Progressive led government—need I say Washington DC schools who were making amazing progress only to have their Superintendent let go–why, she was making sure the kids got a real education, not the government “dumbed down” version!

      I remember being a democrat myself. I remember being misled and lied to by the democratic party, just to get my vote. I remember what America used to stand for. I also remember that the republicans lied and misled as well. NOW, I know better. The 13 trillion dollar question is “Are you a progressive or are you a conservative patriot”? I CHOOSE to be a Conservative Patriot and from now on to ALWAYS do my homework on the people chosen to lead our country and to make sure they uphold our Constitution of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!!! Thank you Glenn Beck for believing in us.
