Union Leader Encourages Progressives to ‘Take to the Streets’

To be fair, United Steelworkers International President Leo Gerard could have been talking about going door-to-door with informational pamphlets when he told the Pennsylvania Progressive Summit that theirs is an “agenda worth fighting for” and that they should “take to the streets and do what needs to be done.”

But since he simultaneously dismissed peaceful protests like “letter writing” campaigns, I‘m wondering why the lamestream media isn’t complaining about his “violent rhetoric.” (call-to-action moment comes at end of video)

Also delivering rallying remarks to the progressive summit this year were Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rep. Raul Grijalva, D-Ariz., and ex-Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Penn.

Thankfully, conservatives are the one’s that believe in “GOD, FAMILY & GUNS”. Violence here will be much different than in the Middle East, we have the Second Amendment.

You are delusional my friend. The Stasi Police will be on the Communist side of the line doing their best to kill you and all the other “Subversive Right Wing Extremists”. The Government of this country has been Socialist for more than 150 years, and they have done an excellent job of brainwashing most of their hired thug Gov-Bots. The Only Police that will be on the right side of the line will be those that have defected from their Handlers.

The “Police” will be collecting your guns, and relocating you to serve the “Greater Good” and “Prevent Violence”. Anyone placing ANY Trust in ANY Gov-Bot, will be a Fool!!!!

Bla Bla Bla… Yea we need to take to the streets because the tax payers don’t want your Prgressive crap…Thus it is in the union leadership’s best interest to keep the voting public and the union membership at odds with each other, the members always get the blame for debt and bankruptcy. If you look at the one example that screams the loudest, you would have to look to the teachers union. All of the high level school Administrators, Principals and the like are now part of the union. Well, these are the same folks that are at the negotiating table when the union contract is negotiated. Do you think these people will hold the line in favor of the taxpayers? No, they will spend you into oblivion. You already know this, you live in oblivion right now, just look at the sale signs. Your cash register has been left wide open. If you describe any of this chaotic behavior as Socialism or Marxism people will draw a blank stare and deny it because: “This is America, that can’t happen” It’s hidden in plain view, just open your eyes.

Another one of Barry’s buddies. Thank goodness we are a right to work state. We make Mercedes, Honda, and Hundai cars, all non-union. Kia’s are made across the border in Georgia and VWs are made in Chattanooga. Again, all non-union. Employees are paid above-union wages. There was a recent article in the paper about the UAW going to come here and really push for unions. Waste of time. They need to stay up north and live in the cities they created.

True uprisings take their roots nurtured and enriched by oppressive government control. So long as “the oppressed” are comfortable in their entitlement lives, no true uprising can be brought to bear. It can only be manufactured by oppressive organizations like the labor unions and will fail.

-Gerard was born in 1947 in Creighton Mine, Ontario,
-He is also a vice president of the AFL-CIO (Currently, the AFL–CIO’s only explicit restriction on membership excludes those labor unions whose “policies and activities are consistently directed toward the achievement of the program or purposes of authoritarianism, totalitarianism, terrorism and other forces that suppress individual liberties and freedom of association.)
-He also is a member of the Apollo Alliance
-Gerard is a member of two federal government commissions, the U.S.-China China Economic and Security Review Commission and the National Commission on Energy Policy.

This guy spends three minutes distorting “facts” then says “we will turn the facts into emotions”?.. I guess that’s the progressive way, I’ve always found emotions get in the way of the “facts”.

Companies are not closing/leaving because of emotions, it’s the “fact” that they can’t make a profit in this environment (taxes, regulation, labor costs). I’ve never worked for a company that existed to “give me a job”, they exist to make a profit … no profit, no job … “fact” …

Let them go out and scream on the streets. Who cares. Stay home and watch it on TV, while they get hoarse, hungry, cold, tired and ignored while dancing to the tune of their masters. The dumb-asses won’t get fifty cents for this “demonstration”. Their union bosses are still going to steal their dues every month. If they come on your property to harm you, defend yourself…Unions are not about workers, except how much in dues the bosses can steal, they are about politics and trying to squeeze more money out of business and government (your tax money) They should be outlawed.

As I have posted here many times these people want to start trouble in the worst way and are now simply looking for a opportunity to do it. The hold these meetings and rally’s to pump up their supporters and have their media friends accuse Tea Party, Republicans and anyone else that disagrees with them as violent and un civil. This is a Alinsky tactic always accuse the other side for what you are doiing. We will all have to deal with them in the near future one way or the other, probabaly by protecting your property or family. What is happening around the world is indeed what Beck said will happen, these Marxist‘s are itching to hit the streets it’s their best chance since the 1960′s and they have a lot more money this time to fund a insurrection I would not put it past Soros to provide arms for these radicals. One more thing they will call everyone who is not fighting with them a Tea Partier and will most likely harm who ever they accuse of being one , it’s the new name for a subversive.

Union enrollment nation wide is only about 11%. Assuming all 11% do “follow orders” what can they do? Even with all the progs acting in unison, it would make up no more than 12-13%. A lot of noise but they lack the numbers. What are they going to take to the streets for? Demand a new leader like they did in Egypt? If that‘s the point then I’ll go with them.

The only reason they haven’t taken to the streets sooner, like the Egyptians, is they know they are going up against a majority of well armed citizens and LEOs. When they do work up enough nerve to do it, it WILL be bloody!

It seems as though not too many of them are willing to be martyred for the cause just yet.

Oh that is right the we have to have labor to build all the empty skyscrapers with China made steel !! The Unions actions are really turning WE THE PEOPLE off. Yet it’s the TEA Partiers who are called violent. TEA Partiers will be the ones defending against the violence this idiot wants. He totally misrepresented so many facts. Particularly when talking about past presidents and spending. Apparently he doesn’t care about the fact that budget bill start in the House of Representatives, and in most cases, are the opposite party from the president in power. That was certainly the case during the Clinton balanced-budget years. Things really started to go to he!! in a hand basket after the Democrats took over congress in ‘06, while President Bush was in office.

Since they are paid by Soros through HuffPo to troll, they choose their threads so as to stir up the most hate.
