Union Protesters Shout Down CNN Anchor’s Tough Questions

“We are not out here about the pay and benefits. We are out here for our voice.  He is trying to bust our unions,” one Wisconsin middle school band director told CNN as she protested Gov. Scott Walker‘s budget proposal at the state capitol building. “He will not come to the table,” she added.  “We will come to the table, we will talk about things,” she said, insisting that protesting public workers were willing to negotiate specific items in the legislation.

“You talk about being man enough about coming to the table. I want you to react to the Democratic state senators who have not been at the table — no-shows in voting for this budget… Do you think they should come to the table as well?” the CNN anchor pointedly asks, referring to the state lawmakers who fled the state Thursday to avoid a vote.

Cue the crowd of union protesters in the background who begin shouting, “United we stand!”, drowning out the interviewer and shutting down the interview.

The Repubs. need to have one law maker defect to the Demo. party and get the vote going. Have to play the game the same as the Demo’s.

Sorry Rightside, it ‘s not the fact that the the vote would be something-to-zip that’s the problem, it’s that the WI constitution says a minimum of 20 guys must be there before they can vote.
And Republican governors respect the constitution, they are not about to ignore it as the Dems do.

Best solution is to actually let the absentee Dems decide – either come back or stay away.
If one comes back then the vote can go ahead and it will be 19-1, so they lose. If they all come back it will be 19-14, they still lose.
And if none come back, dismiss them through a RECALL, and elect replacements. Then, even if only one of them is replaced by a Republican, the vote can go ahead as there will be 20 guys willing to vote.
Whatever the result, the Dems will lose the vote in accordance with the democratic process they hate so much. And they won’t be able to pull this stunt again, if they try it will just backfire again.

Thank you! They are getting harder and harder to teach, sometimes sending me to the books to better instruct and direct their studies.

I miss men with an ideology that doesn’t care who gets the credit for the good that was done, but that good was done.

LOL. It’s not about the pay and benefits. How can someone with a brain actually say and believe that? I personally am glad they are protesting. One less day they are in the classroom brainwashing the students. Fire them already!

Our President is also behind this. I called the White House Comment line yesterday voicing my opinion of the President organizing this protest against government. He has crossed the line and needs to be called on this! The people that showed up need to be fired, and the State Senators impeached and removed from office. Period. End of discussion.

The protester needs to listen to her own words. She says they have no voice? Really? Those Unions present in this bully tactic takeover of a State Government have no business being there. The crowd mentality gives power to to those who are too weak to stand on their own merits by frightening & intimidating any who oppose their viewpoint.

This new Governor ran on the promise to cut spending. He won. This should be no surprise to the people of Wisconsin. I’m beginning to wonder if the Union Thugs planned all of this ahead of time, knowing what was coming.

Sorry to bother, but isn’t there such a thing as a “RECALL”?
Get enough people together in each of the 14 constituencies to get a petition for recall, on grounds of “abandonment”, “dereliction”, “self-deportation” or whatever the correct and best charge would be, and force a new election but just make sure the last lot of electoral rolls are used so that “Oak-Seed” can‘t plant too many ’new weeds’ in the field.
