‘Untenable’: Pelosi & DNC Chair Now Say Weiner Should Step Down

WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) – Democratic leaders are now calling on Rep. Anthony Weiner to resign after the New York lawmaker embroiled in a Twitter scandal admitted he had online contact with a Delaware teenager.

National party chairman Debbie Wasserman Schultz says Weiner’s behavior is “indefensible” and his role in Congress is “untenable.”

The Florida congresswoman says “this sordid affair has become an unacceptable distraction” for everyone.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California says Weiner “needs help” and he should get some “without the pressures of being a member of Congress.”

UPDATE:

Weiner has now requested a leave of absence to get “treatment.” Read about that, as well as how others have called for his resignation, here.

Going to rehab? There are rehab places for obnoxious, rude, arogant self centered patronizing Libs?..Hell the waiting list must be 4 years long. For his tweeting he does not need rehab, he needs a sign in his front yard and a weekly check in to a probation officer just like the rest of the sexual predators deviants.

“According to Congressman Weiner, his communications with this person were neither explicit nor indecent,” Risa Heller said in a statement.

The fact that this Congressman even choose to communicate with a young person that does not reside in his district, that was not asking political questions for reasons of research of government, but that any casual conversation occurred at all, from a 46 y/o married man to a 17 y/o child is “indecent” -so again we see that Weiner is spinning, and Risa Hellas is simply the person he is using to further this scandal.

Pelosi/Wasser they are to late for calling for a resignation, they are without credibility at this point. By the way where is Harry? I bet a 180 from him is next. Weiner said he has done this for years. Anyone that thinks there were only 6 contacts is quite naive or carrying lemonade for the drinkers of it.

To be continued….thank you Mr. Weiner, you have allowed us to see Pelosi, Wasser, Reid, and the ilk at the Capital for what they are… media driven for guidance, not from any foundation of morals most of us still have and are fighting for. wake up america or our name will be spelled in lower case, rather than AMERICA the strongest nation, among all in the World.

I know this may be a long shot, yet does anyone feel that this may become the one proverbial straw that will lead to the breaking of the Democrats in the ‘12 elections to come?

The Democrats are running for the hills from Weiner, and now with Pelosi and the others doing, as you said, a 180 abrupt turn, something has been found out; something that may be devastating and big enough to cast damage on their side of things.

Again I may be majorly offf track here, yet it just has a feeling to it.

I for one would really hate to see him go. I sincerely and in all seriousness want him to stay at leastuntil 2012. To wit

      1. Tony Weiner performs an invaluable service for the right in this country. Him, Pelosi, Reid, Rangle, not to mention maobama serve as an excellent illustration of what the left stands for.

      2. Think of the campaign ads! Cut footage of his nasty anti-American-leftist rants back to back with his press conferences before 6JUN11 with the footage from 6JUN11 and after.

      3. His district deserves him. They voted for let them keep being utterly embarrased by this fool.

      .
Debbie Wasserman Schultz calling anyone else’s behavior “indefensible” is untenable… but such is the twisted way of the Democrats.

Wow, the dem’s look like a monkey blanking a football. Its a 3 ring circus with Weiner driving the clown car. This go’s to show that honor and integrity should rank high when voting. Some politicians hide there lack of integrity well, Weiner did not. I did not need this scandal to know Weiner can’t be trusted. All you had to do was watch an interview, at least when he was challenged on position. He would say anything. Kinda like a child.

Immoral and unethical behavior is tolerated on all sides until public opinion weighs in–then, even the most tolerant and least ethical (uh, like Nancy and Propaganda Debbie) WILL slap you away.

Those who think they are safe in their corruption– well good for them! “…the harder they fall.”
      Public opinion still rules.

Pelosi’s days as an elected queen are numbered, too.

Next door in San Francisco, her district, they demand all the latest toys and gadgets:
      ipod, iphone, ipad, even socialism.

Pelosi is a 1901 Adler typewriter with bent keys and a worn out ribbon.

They won’t keep that for long.

All they need is a new ipad 3 candidate, and they will toss here out like yesterday’s half-caf-frappa-mocha-latte-chino! LOL
