This Depressing Chart Shows How Much New Debt has Been Added Since the Senate Passed a Budget

The Senate Budget Committee Republican staff under Ranking Member Jeff Sessions (R-AL) on Friday released the following chart:
As the chart clearly shows, it has been a full 1,200 days and $5 trillion in new debt since the Democrat-controlled Senate passed a budget.
“The refusal of the Reid majority to fulfill their legal and moral duty to lay out a financial plan for America proves them unworthy to lead the Senate chamber,” Sen. Sessions said in a statement.
But maybe Sen. Sessions is being a little hard on Sen. Harry Reid (R-NV). After all, how can we expect Reid to focus on something as boring as passing a budget when things like Mitt Romney’s tax returns need to be dealt with?

You are paying income tax, state sales tax and then this hidden 40 % tax, all because we are cowards and keep voting representatives back in that have shown zero courage in addressing the most dangerous domestioc threat to this country, the debt and entitlement black hole that we will all, sooner or later fall in. Are you a brick in the high bulging wall, spoken of in Isaiah? You are if you keep looking to the government to fix our problems. No person or program can fix this country full of immoral, get all you can get, broken people. The government is broken, because the people are broken

Posted on August 11, 2012 at 3:43pmDon’t blame the Republicans, all of the bills passed by the House are sent to the Senate and suddenly are not seen again. Part of that is because Nancy the wicked witch has Harry Reid basically buring all those past bills on Harry Reid’s desk never to be seen again. This started when Nancy lost her cherished job as Speaker when the liberals lost the House! This was all over the internet at that time and Nancy still tries to control what‘s happening on someone’s orders–some speculate that is on George Soros orders, but I don’t know that part! But that is why so many of the bills have never appeared in the Senate!

They have learned from history how NOT to overthrow a country. They just have to be calm and soothing and give money and favors out to people in huge numbers. Who do think a group of children would want to live with, parents (Gov) that teaches self reliance and personal responsibility or parents that let them play all day and eat anything at anytime and just run wild and actually PAY them to be that way? If you’ve been raised with no dignity, self respect and have low self esteem you would be CRAZY to vote for someone that wants to put you to work! Plus, whenever the Federal Reserve ‘allows’ the people the privilege of using their paper dollars, then they charge interest for that privilege.
If you want to drive down the debt, then stop Chairman Bernanke from counterfeiting more monopoly money that he subsequently uses to buy U.S. Treasuries with.

Posted on August 10, 2012 at 11:40amsupport for same-sex parents is growing steadily among Americans. A Pew Research Center survey conducted in July and released last week found for the first time that a majority of people surveyed — 52 percent — said that gay men and lesbians should be allowed to adopt children, up from 46 percent in 2008 and 38 percent in 1999.
The shift in public opinion and the simple question — Are you having children? — is nothing short of a marvel to some gay men, perhaps even more so than to lesbians, for whom giving birth has always been an option.
Greg Moore, 62, a retired corporate manager in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., shakes his head with wonder when he sees young male couples chattering about their toddlers. That possibility seemed hopelessly out of reach when he and his 74-year-old husband, who have been together for 44 years and married in 2008, dreamed of having children. “Gay people didn’t have kids,” he said wistfully. “Straight people had kids.”
Popular culture is helping rewrite that script. Gay men who have children, or are considering having children, are becoming increasingly visible on network television. In “Modern Family,” the nation’s most popular television show, the couple Mitchell and Cameron considered adopting a second child this past season. In “Scandal,” a new ABC series, a middle-aged White House staff member groused about his partner’s desire to adopt a baby from Ethiopia. And this fall, a new NBC sitcom called “The New No

Parenthetically, it should be noted how absolutely pathetic the Republicans are in submitting 39 Billion in cuts.
Why S&P Downgraded the US:
U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
Federal budget: $3,820,000,000,000
New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
Recent [April] budget cut: $ 38,500,000,000
Let’s remove 8 zeros and pretend it’s a household budget:
Annual family income: $21,700
Money the family spent: $38,200
New debt on the credit card: $16,500
Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
Budget cuts: $385
Would you lend money to that family?

They are playing stupid games because the problem is so huge that 99% of the people can’t comprehend what 15T in debt means let alone 200T in unfunded liabilities. Yet, we play games with 30B. Posted on August 10, 2012 at 11:57amYou’re right. Most people simply can’t fathom how big our national debt – currently at $15.9 Trillion really is. Here’s how I try to blow their mind:
1. Our national debt is equivalent to borrowing $21.7 MILLION PER DAY — since the birth of Christ.
or
2. If we were able to pay $1 MILLION PER MINUTE on our debt, it would take just over 30 years to pay it off — assuming we never borrow another dime and do not owe any interest.
and here’s my favorite:
If we adopted the one of the GOP’s plan of reducing our budget by $100 Billion dollars over the next 10 years, then how long would it take to pay off the debt? Well, at that rate it would only take 1,590 YEARS to pay off the debt!
What does all of this mean? As long as Demorats and Repulicants are in charge — We Are Screwed!
