Update: 911 Tapes Released in Mexican Pirate Attack in TX Boundary Waters

The 911 call of a frantic wife whose husband was shot in the head while fleeing from Mexican pirates has been released. David and Tiffany Hartley came under attack while jet skiing on a Texas lake that is split between U.S. and Mexican territory. David’s body has not yet been recovered:

A partial transcript of the call from KRGV-TV:

Dispatcher: Hello? Ma’am? Yes. Okay. Are you sure that your husband got shot?
Tiffany: Yes. In his head.
Dispatcher: Okay. Yeah. Was he thrown out of the jet ski that he’s in the water or something?
Tiffany: He was thrown off the jet ski and I couldn’t pick him up to get him on mine. (sobbing)
Oh God.
Dispatcher: Ma’am? Were you shot at on the Mexican side or on the US side? So it was the Mexican Side. Okay, did you see anybody?
Tiffany: There were three boats.

    Ladies and Gentlemen,
    I have signed the 40 day 40 night pledge. That being said, our nation has a history of its people handling the matter when the government won’t. Most of us are patiently pleading with our government to step up and handle the business of our nation in accordance with the Constitution. I fear that in the future, if the Government does not do its job, i.e. Secure and Protect our borders, then we the people will have to make some very difficult decisions to solve the problem ourselves. Keep praying, but I feel a new civil war approaching……..and it terrifies me.

    I can’t believe everyone is missing this. I mean it should be the main thing we all should focus on. I watched maybe 2 seconds of the news cast before it was obvious to me and still after reading all of the comments I don’t know why no one else is asking the very important question that has me wondering. Who is this news anchor and what ever happened to Lauren Sanchez from channel 13 news out here in Ca? This is where we should focus our attention. I mean I can not watch a news show out here because of the liberal bias. But if she read it to me. I could listen, or maybe turn down the sound and play music while she was on.

    Something strange here.
    Why have this printed, but not on the 911 tape release???

    Dispatcher: Ma’am? Were you shot at on the Mexican side or on the US side? So it was the Mexican Side.

    Just seems strange to me. And why would they go to the Mexican side if they knew it in the first place?
    This isn’t the first time they have encountered Mexican pirates here on this lake.

      Those are very good questions Joe, but there was a tape released here locally on the TV channels in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Falcon Reservoir is, “our Lake” so to speak. There is a possible reason the tape is being restrained at this time is because it might not pass the normal “stress test” that such tapes undergo when these matters are investigated. There was a press conference, also, that the widow had scheduled, in order to address the public, but it was abruptly cancelled yesterday.
      Still, no one should be expecting a “Susan Smith” situation…“A coloured boy jumped in my car and drove off with my babies”…..
      The reason I am withholding any judegement in any direction is because of the “Susan Smith Syndrome” where people rile-up,charge, and then wind up becoming a parody of the thing the marxist commie press says we are.
      The one thing about which I am positive is that if there is a body, and there are perpetrators in that area again, then the Mexican Army and/or the Mexican Naval Infantry will be dragging in dead and/or alive those perpetrators and the deceased victim. I have been amazed by their work in these matters, especially during the past couple of years.

      This happened to my family about 15 yrs ago too but we had guns and shot back so they left. The fishing camp north of COX camp has had some strange things happening at it, bought out all renters kicked out. The jet skiers might have gotten close to a large drug shipment operation.

    It is time for the government to control the border but I am not feeling good about this story. It just doesn’t seem to be adding up. They surely would have been wearing life perservers, so unless the perps took it off the body and sunk it I can‘t figure out why they can’t find it. They seem to find the bodies pretty quick on the big rivers and that is with flowing water and no life jackets. I may be wrong and then I can only say apologies to the wife.

    How many American citizens have to be murdered by Mexicans to kick thier colas’ out. If deadly force is used on citizens, then deadly force must be recipriocated as that is the only thing these waste of oxygen, monsters understand. This is if 1 American citizen was murdered. My friend it has gone way past that. What an impotent Federal Government. The one thing they are suppose to do and can’t even get that right.

    It is not the wish to suggest, at this point, that there is something nefarious being done by the survivor. I will assure everyone here on this screed that there are honest American, Texan, and yes, even Mexican authorities whose attention has been called to …..shall it best be stated….certain other possible explanations concerning to the events thus far reported. Not being involved, and hoping for the best for this woman….I leave the doubt upon the table.

      The only strange thing about this story is that it actually made it to press. This stuff happens allot. and before you say it’s a generalization. I lived up there. I’ve been under fire at that lake. You always scan the Mexico side for boats and keep an eye on them. If they move in your direction you leave and quick.

    Another criminal act that goes unpunished. This is a taste of Maobama’s new global governance. We need to secure the border. Land mine it. I don’t care. And post patrols on this lake so that Americans can use the waterway safely. I don’t want to hear about the Mexican government, using OUR tax money are doing all that they can. Post US troops on the border and end this now. Electrify the fence and the ground around it. Do whatever is necessary and STOP THE INVASION. Enough is enough. These foreigners have been taking advantage of our good nature for years. Enough.

    (1) This incident did not occur in United States or territorial waters of the Republci of Texas.
    (2) This area of the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas has literally thousands of ICE, Border Patrol, and other police agencies running into each other. Once cannot drive from the bridges in McAllen or Pharr even as far as Mission (7 miles) without seeing 20 BP SUV’s driving back and forth. Their tactics are…strange at best. Their strategy includes 35% of their time in sensitivity training, sexual harrassment abatement training, and federal employee union workers’ rights meetings.
    (3) To this point we still do not have a corpse. Elements of the Mexican Naval Infantry have been in the area, in force, searching for both the corpse and the perpetrators. They recently (during the month of September) killed 52 cartel thugs in the General Trevino – Cerralvo – Mier triangle in two separate actions….and zeroed in on the continuing cartel contamination in Miquel Aleman and Carmargo. The monster they are destroying is huge, but they are having extremely significant success.
    (4) Once again….there still is no body. There is only one witness to the direct assault.
    (5) The assault occurred in a zone in Mexico where the Mexican Armed Forces have warned native and foreign visitors not to go….Where Texas authority have warned people not to go…..and where the United States Government has warned people not to go. When the water is very high, such as now, for instrance, it makes even less sense because the historical colonial buildings that are exposed during times of drought are presently completely submerged..save for two or three minimal pieces sticking up a few inches out of the water.
    (6) I have lived and worked on the border and in Mexico for the entirety of my life…63 years. I have a home in the Mexican interior. I am a rabidly conservative, Reagan Republican, Palin fan, honorably discharge USArmy type, gun-owner, socialism-hating, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Coulter, Levin, and Dave Ramsey type. My father rode mounted USArmy cavalry in this area, including what would later become Falcon Reservoir. We attended its dedication by President Dwight David Eisenhower and President Rodolfo Avila Camacho in 1953. My great-grandparents were here in the 1880′s.
    By any of this, I mean not that I know better than you…..only that all is not as it appears. Good efforts are occurring on the Mexican side…even specifically concerning this incident, no matter what is said in the common media….and even ours…FOX, etc. I do not know better….it is just I have been here so long that my experiences and acquaintances allow me a different perspective.

      The call shows facts that are not consistent. Questions:
      1) Three boats, and two jet skis. He gets shot in the head and falls off and she goes back to get him in hers? The three thugs come back and looking at her?
      2) You got 3 guys shooting and I’m wondering are there any slugs in her jet ski?
      Her story doesn’t wash, Privatouring. There are an awful lot of people in the area, yet no comes forward to corroborate hearing gunshots?
      I wonder when they drag the lake for him where he will be found? I’m wondering also: she is so distraught yet knows that she was on the Mexican side? I think not. Pretty sure she’s going to get caught waiting on an exorbitant insurance payoff. I think either she offed him or he’s in hiding somewhere down in Mexico, and she is playing her part. What poplice inspectors and detectives won’t check thier finances?

      Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I say that if the Obama administration wants to snub Texas in the need for more border protection from the Drug thugs, then Texas needs to incorporate numerous boat patrols and take care of the matter. If you are caught crossing the border of Texas with drugs, you will suffer a bad consequence. If you fire upon US citizens, you made a bad mistake..

    How irresponsible is the response they “should know better” than go there. When do we show the thugs they should know better than show their ugly greasy pockmarked disgusting blood smeared souls on earth. If they can be rehabilitated and assimilate in society fine spend money and time to get them there. If on the other hand they want to be proud charlie mansen,jeffrey dhalmers, gary ridgeways, robert yates or ted bundy’s then we need to execute them in a humane way and let theese a$$ of jacks know if their hearing voices they better get the help they need or ignore them or die its that simple.       Agreed, but the question was not “where is John Galt?“ the question was ”Who is John Galt?” The premise of the story was not that people were looking for John Galt to come and save the day, because he was not about to do that. John Galt had worked long and hard to try and save what was left of society, and when he came to realize that a large portion of society didn’t want to be saved, he decided to quit producing the means to his own destruction, and began to convince others (of similar abilities) to do the same.

      Thanks for the reminder about the story. Lately I’ve been passing a hand made sign properly labeled “Who is John Galt”. Believe it or not my mis-quote has been on purpose hoping to generate a response and remind people of Atlas Shrugged.
      I’m thinking our “John Galt” is out there someplace… just waiting for the right time to surface. It’s been a while since I read the story, but I seem to remember he was a common worker in plain sight.

    Exactly. While this is a tragedy, and one that easily pulls at nationalistic heartstrings, one has to wonder *why* someone would visit the Mexican side of Falcon Lake with so many problems going on. My prayers go out to the wife and family of David Michael Hartley; however, this should be a warning to anyone in the proximity of the Mexican border – they get to shoot anyone at will, and do not expect backup from the U.S. (before, during, or after).

      I think it’s a great idea…but I’m afraid for my safety, and the safety of my family. I think those who would intend to do us harm would see it as a great time to start picking off some Americans. But it might get some publicity if there was such a rally and people died….the drive-bys might actually cover it then. Sad. If there were a way to monitor and prevent attacks during the rally, I’d show up.

      They’d probably send you all up to the Canadian border to keep us out. They don’t care how many illegals come up from Mexico, but they harass Canadians and make it difficult to cross. Why? My guess is that they want to frustrate all three countries to the point where we will accept a three-country “American Union” in the style of the EU, all set up for the New World Order.

There will never be any justice for this family and my guess is that Obama will be making an apology tour soon because our citizens were too close to their border.

      Sorry. Listen to the tape. Would you hang around when 3 boats of people are firing in your direction? Not hardly. She tried to get him in her jetski? They came back and looked at her? C‘mon it doesn’t wash. Drug cartels would not be forgiving.
      If they saw him as a threat they surely would not let her get away. So they came back and felt sorry that they killed her husband and then let her go unharmed?
      Either she killed him or they did it for insurance money, and he’s down in Mexico waiting for her to collect.

      hey Adifftake you need to read the whole story before you make your judgement. She took off after they came back, they thought they killed them both but they saw her still driving her jetski and then they turn arround and chase her pass the border marking on the lake. A witness saw them chasing her and shooting at her but as soon as they pass the border marking one boat follow for a little bit them turn arround. This is NOT the first time that people are being shot at on this lake or along the border, if you do not believe her come on down and take a jetski across the border and you will see or feel what happens on the border. it is time to WAKE UP and protect our country

      My Father and I had been shot at on that very same lake about 15 years ago. Chased by boats. But my dad happened to have a gun and after about 3 shots back and forth they decided to scram. Everyone on the border should be armed.

      Right on MILLERRANCH, pretty sure i can come up with a jet ski, it won’t be as fast as the one she was riding but that will give ADIFFTAKE more time to look around and by the way ADIFFTAKE it will be difficult for your family to collect insurance without a body.
