Update: Anti Islam Blog Back Up, WordPress Says CAIR Had Nothing to Do With SuspensionBare Naked Islam — the anti-Muslim blog taken down by its hosting site reportedly after complaints from the Council on American-Islamic Relations — is back up, and WordPress.com says CAIR had nothing to do with the blog’s suspension.

As The Blaze reported this morning, visitors to barenakedislam.wordpress.com were directed to a message saying the blog had been suspended for violating hosting site WordPress.com’s terms of service. CAIR claimed victory for the blog’s removal, stating in a press release it had been monitoring the site and had filed numerous terms of service violation reports with WordPress.com.

But according to an email obtained by The Blaze Friday afternoon, the founder of WordPress.com informed the Bare Naked Islam blog owner the site was being turned back on until Jan. 6, after which time it would need to find a new host.

According to the email, the blog was removed for “numerous examples” of violating the terms of service rule prohibiting threats or inciting violence. Additionally, despite CAIR’s claims, WordPress.com said the organization had nothing to do with the site’s suspension:

Finally although there was a press release from CAIR claiming to have been behind this I haven’t heard of them until today and as far as we can tell none of the ToS reports that caused the blog to be reviewed were from anyone involved with that organization. WordPress.com does not suspend blogs at the request of individuals or organizations, only for violations of our Terms of Service.

By Friday evening, the site was back up with a post titled “Bare Naked Islam is back……sort of”:

WordPress now saying that CAIR had nothing to do with their decision to take down my blog (despite CAIR bragging about it all over the internet). But they still want me off by Jan. 6th.

CAIR has not issued a comment on the site’s reinstatement.

Editor’s note: This post incorrectly stated the email obtained by The Blaze was written by a WordPress developer instead of the founder of WordPress.com. Additionally, the hosting site was referred to in multiple places as “WordPress,“ not ”WordPress.com,” a separate entity. The post has been updated to reflect these changes.

I’ve been reading BNI for over a year and not once has the person who runs the blog and posts the articles ever, EVER promoted violence in any shape or form. But in true liberal fashion they want him shut down. WHY? Well, quite simply because he tells the truth and doesn’t sugar coat what Islam IS, what it IS ABOUT, and what it WANTS. Too bad some people simply can’t handle the truth and wish to kill the messenger because of the message which in this case happens to be extremely accurate.

Companies disassociate themselves from people or websites that support extremists causes, especially when their advertisers realize they’re going to lose money and tarnish their brand with the association with extremists positions.     You want a free blog site, you’ve got to play by their rules. If you like WordPress, get your own hosting account, download the WP software, and install it on your own personal site (as I have done – http://www.theampat.com). That way, WordPress is not going to tell you what you can or cannot post. Just make sure you’ve chosen a good hosting company.

      Sounds to me like the lawyers got involved. So WordPress is keeping the website up until Jan 6. The website violated the terms of their agreement – encouraging violence against members of a religious group – but folks you have to realize this isn’t a Freedom of Speech issue, this is pure capitalism. This is free market at work. No company wants to be associated with the kind of hatred and violence this website promoted. That kind of hate speech may appeal to you but it doesn’t much to companies that give dollars to advertise on WordPress websites.

      Sorry guys. This isn’t about free speech, this isn’t about political correctness. This is the free market, this capitalism. This is about WordPress trying to make money, and dropping a website that, through association with them, threatened their profits.

      This is America. Companies have no obligation to support websites that threaten their profits by openly appealing to the worst of humanity. The worst of humanity isn’t most Americans. Sorry.

      We are rummaging through wordpresses financial connections to see if there is any Soros linked money to it. THIS group has one hell of a tangled web with financial links everywhere. In fact the “employees” that do the actual work at the site are all volunteers. They had a picture posted of them all (a big group picture) which may come in handy IF names have to be matched to faces later on. Almost two days of solid work and barely scratched the surface of wordpress though. And there

      The crazy thing is, the Koran is hate speech. But it gets a pass because it is a quote unquote “religion” and of “the other” so instead of condemning the hate speech of the Koran the modern liberal condemns those who point out the hate of the Koran and Islam. It is enough to make you freak out if you let it.

    OK, you‘re CAIR and you’ve been named as an “unindicted co-conspirator’ in the Holy Land Foundation terror trial along with 263 other slimeballs; yet, you manage to maintain a fairly high profile in the mainstream media and even command some weird sort of respect since you tend to be quite litigious.

    In what sort of bizarre, “Clockwork Orange” world does this exist? Oh, I forgot, Obama is running the country and his chief law enforcement agent, Eric Holder is stopping the trials of indicted terror conspirators. Yep, now I remember the nightmare we’re living through. Will somebody please wake me up in time for the treason trials?

      Thank you for your comment. That is exactly how I feel. I was really upset this morning when I read BNI had been taken down. I’ve been reading BNI for about a year. Some of the videos on the site were difficult to watch, but I believe were necessary to understand true evil. I appreciate BNI’s quest to inform Americans.

    Before people decide to have a problem with this website, might I suggest you download the qur’an, or the sunna,…put these words in the search box,..love, respect, understanding, honesty,..then try Christians, Jews, kill, daughters, and honor. Understand a little more how much information this site gives people, that others wont touch. How the American government tries to keep us blind to what is trying to move in under this administration.Thank You BNI!!!

      did you ever think the reason there are so many holocaust museums in the west is because the west was very involved iin WWII as opposed to the other holocausts noted on the web site. I sincerely doubt they have holocaust museums in Muslim countries. Could be wrong though.

      SMACKDOWN33, After reading your link, I also seem to recall that the U.N. created Israel out of Trans-Jordan. In fact, if you read history you’ll find that Palestine was the name for a region of Trans-Jordan. There has never been a country of Palestine. The Arabs were not forced to leave nor were they asked to leave. They were ticked off that the U.N. gave someone else land that they had conquered and because of the fact that Islamists had decided that the Jews were the root of all evil, most just packed up and left. Ask why multiple Arab/Islamist countries attacked the fledgling State of Israel within such a short time of it’s creation. Find out when the term Palestinian came to be used to describe those who became “refugees” by their own actions. Then ask how you would control a population that was intent on killing or driving you out of your own country: that continuously attacks without provocation.
      You seem to believe that only the Israel side is the bad guy, which is what you have been lead to believe. I wanted to know the history of the conflict so I picked up and have read a quite on the subject. Your link only shows your lack of knowledge and your unwillingness to learn anything beyond that which you have been told to believe.
