Bloomberg, Biden Address ‘Specific, Credible But Unconfirmed’ Terror Threat

Both New York City and Washington D.C. officials are taking reports of a potential terror threat seriously. In a press conference on Thursday night, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg publicly addressed concerns surrounding the “specific, credible but unconfirmed” threat.
This latest alleged plot that could employ the use of car bombs was uncovered as the nation prepares to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the September 11th attacks.
Last night, The Blaze first reported, based on Fox News sources, that the threat — which targets New York City and Washington D.C. — is being probed by authorities. Intelligence surrounding the case seems to indicate that the possible suspects have ties to al-Qaeda.
During the press conference, Bloomberg attempted to ease fears. While he explained that the New York City Police Department is actively employing elevated security measures, he attempted to temper fears as well, saying:
“Just for the record, I plan to take the subway tomorrow morning and feel just as safe as when I did when I took it this morning.”
The mayor also encouraged city residents to assist authorities by looking out for and reporting suspicious behavior:
“Here‘s what you’ve got to do. If you see something, say something…
Go about your business as you normally would, but just be vigilant.”
This statement — “If you see something, say something” — is a popular one in New York City, as it is used to regularly encourage the public at large to be aware of potential terror threats. You can watch Bloomberg’s entire press conference at the top of this page.
Bloomberg isn’t the only prominent politician to address the threat. On Friday morning, Vice President Joe Biden said that the White House, too, is taking the threat “seriously.” On NBC’s Today Show, he said:
“This is the first, the first credible piece of information we’ve gotten. We cannot confirm it. We are doing everything within our power. All hands are on deck.”
National Journal reports that Biden’s biggest fears surround a single individual launching an attack, as such an action is more difficult to prevent, especially in locations with a high concentration of citizens. He explained:
“The lone actor is the more worrisome thing because there are fewer trails to follow, there are fewer leads to move on.”
Biden, like Bloomberg, encouraged Americans to live their lives normally, but to report anything suspicious.

I understand now that “Beck bashing” is based upon fabrications and lies, and is completely unwarranted. You will never meet a person with more integrity than Glenn Beck. He has done more to advance the cause of truth and fairness in politics and the media than anyone, even putting his fortune on the line with the launch of GBTV. I can’t imagine how a person could hate this man, particularly a self-professed conservative, such as yourself. Glenn has done more to shed light on the problems in America than any media person has in the last 25 years. He is completely dedicated to the dissemination of truth. Or at least they didn’t get any invitations.. and I guess they didn’nt want any clergy there. I think Al Queda must by Bloombergs body guards. At any rate, I thought that they didn’t want the firefightes and first responders there because they might need them in the event of anotther attack.. But somehing tells me that they are going to get a lot more of them than they bargained for.

Remembering and honoring the events of September 11, 2001 should be done in the same manner that we honor the Gospel, on an individual level. Do what you feel you should do, not what others call you to do.
I like what Glenn Beck says about family efforts to visit your local Fire & Police departments. When Unbelievers of Christ says you’re not welcome to a ceremony, that’s a clear sign to stay far away from those folks. Dont beg for their attention, pray for them.

Once again, the message of Biden regarding a “lone wolf” is meant to remind people of the Napoletano HSA-KGB warnings for the threat represented by the “terrorists of the right wing, christians, pro gun and tea party extremists.”
America this is just one more play in the game, and we are being set up.
Just as with the power failures yesterday in CA. Reports say only one power line went down, and yet there are people calling here that TWO lines were down; one from the west in AZ (Yuma), and one from the NORTH.
Accident? Most likely.
Look for the administration to put the blame on someone though who stands against them.

Again, I am sorry…I just do not believe them at all. Last week it was reported no terror threat around 9/11 and OBL talked about a 9/11 threat was just on paper with little details.

of commeration of 9/11 can we have without the FIRST RESPONDERS and Religious leaders. I think this whole thing has just been mucked up from the beginning.
The ridiculous fight that the Atheist are having over the Iconic CROSS from the eye beams.Bloomberg supportiing the Muslim Mosque where it is so Islam can spit in our faces.
Personally I think Bloomberg may be doing this for spite, because he knows there is never anything he could do that would come up to “America’s Mayor” Rudy. He is making news of his own.
