Update: ‘Burn a Koran’ Pastor Banned from Entering UK

Update: Burn a Koran Pastor Banned from Entering UK

Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center

We first reported last month that officials in the United Kingdom were considering permanently banning Florida pastor Terry Jones, who garnered international attention last fall for threatening to burn copies of the Muslim Koran.

Although Jones eventually backed down from his threat, the UK’s Home Office has decided to make good on their own, banning the pastor from entering the country. Jones was invited to deliver remarks on the expansion of Islam to a group called England is Ours next month.

According to the UK’s Daily Mail, government officials decided that Jones’ presence would not be “conducive to the public good.”

“The government opposes extremism in all its forms which is why we have excluded pastor Terry Jones from the UK,” a Home Office spokesperson said. “Numerous comments made by pastor Jones are evidence of his unacceptable behavior. Coming to the UK is a privilege, not a right, and we are not willing to allow entry to those who presence is not conducive to the public good. The use of exclusion powers is very serious and no decision is taken lightly or as a method of stopping open debate.”

A spokesman for England Is Ours told the Daily Mail that he hoped other members of Jones’ outreach group would be able to visit and speak on his behalf:

Barry Taylor, secretary of the activists’ group based in Milton Keynes, said Pastor Jones had planned to visit in mid-February to attend a number of meetings with other similar organisations.

He said: “I’m very disappointed. The whole object of the exercise is to have a discussion about the Islamification of the UK and just have dialogue about the problems.  The idea isn’t to cause trouble or kick up a stink. These things do need addressing and people do need to speak about them. We shouldn’t be frightened about them.”

Jones joins a short list of individuals who have also been “named and shamed” and banned from entering the UK, including sponsors of terrorism, Westboro Baptist Church leader Fred Phelps and conservative talk radio host Michael Savage.

It is a double standard that the British government would ban this pastor from coming to the UK and yet they allow this Islamic man to preach the overthrow of the British government! Listen to British salafi Abu Mounisa:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lT0_NyXdIoo&feature=player_embedded#!

Free speech is only free if you are an Islamic preacher advocating the overthrow of the British government. Wow! What hypocrisy!

Yet, this man who has threatened to burn the Quran (which is still a right in America even if you disagree with him) is banned from the UK!

So, are the British government going to ban all Americans who threaten to burn the Quran? Are they doing the same thing when the Islamists burn Christian crosses, Churches, and the Bible, which they do on a regular basis! Are they banning Islamists who kill Christians and Jews on a regular basis? Are they banning Islamists who advocate the killing of Jews and Christians?

There’s one rule for the Islamic Supremacists and one rule for the infidels.

The Islamists are silencing people all across Europe. Europe! The bastion of Western Civilization and freedom! When are Americans going to understand that it is coming to America as well. In fact, it’s already here! Read this article about the people who have already been silenced by Islam, and those who have still not talked about it here in America. These articles will open your eyes.

This first article is about those “infidels” who have ALREADY BEEN SILENCED:

    http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2011/01/conservative-free-speech-diehards-or.html

And this second article is about the Conservatives in America who have NOT TALKED ABOUT THIS and must start talking about the “silencing” before it is too late:

    http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2011/01/conservative-free-speech-diehards-or.html

Rise up America! It is not too late to keeping speaking about this problem of “silencing” dissent, before it is too late and we become the dhimmis that they want us to become.

I, for one, will NOT be their dhimmi. Ever!

The only reason he is being banned is because they cannot control the masses of murdering thugs in their own country. We are in big trouble if this gets more of a toe hold (and it will). Hate speech will be any criticism of Islam and therefore Islamic leaders in the host countries will demand that these socalled haters not be allowed entry. Anyone critical of Islam will be barred esp Pam Gellar (I’ll bet she is already on the list with Rev. Graham.)

The U.K. will be turned into a nightmare. It is a shame that the useless royals don‘t and can’t do anything about it and all they are good for is nothing. Stronge, first, with 4% of the population Muslim, they have a strong presence. But the telling part is that the British allow Sharia law to be practiced. And guess what, it is not good enough. The want full Sharia rights. They can protest the British troops coming home from war, and the government does nothing. They spew hate to all British, and vow to make them convert. But the Briotish government refuses to allow a peaceful Christian Pastor to enter their country because they are AFRAID of teh muslims. Now that makes England a muslim country in my book.

Do you have an issue with the legitimacy given to Beth Din courts? They operate the same way as the Sharia courts in the UK, and have done so for centuries.

And who, exactly, is this ‘they’? Do you realise you have taken one example of extreme behaviour and are trying to paint an entire religion as being that way. On those grounds, I call all Christians doctor-murdering extremists.

And your peaceful Pastor’s sole reason for visiting the UK was to speak at an anti-Muslim rally.

    A better solution???

I didn’t burn their book like Terry Jones wanted but instead took a more quiet and eco-friendly recycling method that is a more fitting purpose for it.

With all those pages, it makes for a much longer lasting source of “TT” paper than Scott, Northern or the rest of them have on the rolls.

Perhaps this is a better form of “poetic justice” toward a religion of such intolerance and warped values!

He means that there are so many Muslims in Britain that it is virtually an Islamic state. Their Muslim population is enormous. If you look at the birth rate of the UK‘s Muslim community vs it’s Anglo community you will find that sometime around 2021-2025 Britain quite possibly will become a caliphate.

It also seems that Mr. Jones is planning a judge the Koran day on March 20th where you can vote about how to judge the Koran. http://www.standupamericanow.org/

The tragic thing is that the British government has probably saved his life.

I feel desperately sorry for the English people but they have brought apon themselves by not immediately standing up to these vicious bastards.

Birmingham which I think is Britain’s second largest city is now commonly known amongst Muslims as the best place in Europe to be a Muslim. There are places in that town that the police are reluctant to go. Hardline zealots openly preach about taking over Britian – using force if necessary. And of course they happily burrow in to the social welfare system.

Well, that is the thing – who determines what is extreme? Modern progressives have made even classical liberals (libertarians) look extreme to their constituency. Short of encouraging violence or sedition, all discussion and opinion should be valid, otherwise the bar will continually drift leftward, IMO.

Burning Korans is obviously a stupid gesture, and yet many liberal are supportive of burning flags (which has high symbolic meaning to many) and even the bible. In that context, is burning the Koran all that extreme – or is it rather we are afraid of those who might take offense? And conversely, no-one is all that afraid of retaliation for burning flags or bibles. But fear should not be the determining factor in deciding what is hate-mongering and what is not – and yet I contend that is exactly the case here.
