Hip-hop and R&B star Chris Brown appeared on BET television last night to apologize for a violent rampage at ABC’s “Good Morning America” that ended in him leaving shirtless.
Brown’s tirade stemmed from being asked questions about a pleading guilty to beating his former girlfriend, fellow R&B star Rihanna. Brown, who was there to discuss his new album, felt duped by the news outlet. When he got back to his dressing room, he decided to “let off steam,” which resulted in a broken window.
“I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended, or really disappointed in my actions, ’cause I was disappointed in the way I acted,” he said:

Posted on March 25, 2011 at 10:11amOnce a scumbag, always a scumbag – reminds me of my ex-wife, there is no conscience, no credability, and rest assured – there will be no ‘rehabilitation of character.‘ Rhianna would be very foolish to drop the protective order she filed for with law enforcement after he beat the hell out of her before the Grammy’s. Chris Brown is ghetto, there’s lots of white people that are ghetto too, so this isn’t a racial issue.

Well that’s a great concept… but does Brown really think he should be the torch bearer of that concept? Dude – you belong in a padded mental institution.

Posted on March 24, 2011 at 4:35pmBET?.. Sounds Racist… is there a WET Network?
Report Post »jimdevy
Posted on March 24, 2011 at 5:01pmI feel the same. Not at all that I feel the need to have a white entertainment television network, but in the terms that I feel the very existence of BET is racist. Why is it that anything the majority does is racist or intolerant, etc.? People would freak out if there was a White Entertainment Television network (because Whites are the majority), teaching the Bible in schools (because Christians are the majority), or a Straight-Day Parade (because straight people are the majority)…. hmm… weird. If a minority wants an exclusive group they get one because if they don’t it will eventually turn into a civil liberties mess, but if the majority wants an exclusive group, it becomes a nightmare! WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted on March 25, 2011 at 6:45amOriginally the concept was that blacks could not get a fair shot on regular tv. And when they did, it was in some sterotypical role. So they established their own network. Totally understandable.
Report Post »But now, these establishments are no longer neccessary. And it is racist. It should be changed. It should be done willingly. But if not, a stink should be made of it. I don’t care about the historical factor. They Confedrates want to fly the confederate flag in parts of the south. Blacks protest that and they should. Side bar; I think flying any flag other than American should be against the law. The confederates lost the war. Your flag should not fly period. Back to BET. Black folks… slavery is over. Your parents wanted to be part of america not separate. Well, the time has come. Join the family. And thats how I feel as a black man.

Posted on March 24, 2011 at 6:44pmIf you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream – and not make dreams your master;
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with wornout tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And – which is more – you’ll be a Man my son!
Rudyard Kipling
Words you could live by Mr. Brown.

That’s how you let off steam, Chris? Wow! I’m sure your parole officer was really interested in hearing that. They have these odd little courses called Anger Management Classes. Ya might want to give them a whir.
