A man has been arrested in connection with last month’s brutal beating of a tourist in Baltimore after viral video of the incident showed his alleged involvement.

Aaron Jacob Parsons, 20, turned himself in Friday night and has been charged with robbery and assault, according to the Baltimore Sun, which detailed the footage:

In the video, filmed the night of St. Patrick’s Day, the seemingly disoriented victim is standing with a group of young people in front of the east building of the Clarence M. Mitchell Jr. Courthouse. As a girl dances against him, a man who police now say is Parsons grabs something out of the victim’s pocket. The man moves to recover his property, and the man identified as Parsons rears back and punches him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The victim is then stripped of his clothing and teased.

Investigators had turned to the local and online community to identify those involved, the Sun reported. Parsons was identified on social media sites as one of the assailants and his personal information was spread across the Internet.

Parsons’ attorney, Warren Brown, told the newspaper he’s a “good kid” and is not responsible for the acts in the video that drew the most outrage.

“It’s not the punch that has aroused so much anger — it’s the humiliation after the punch, the disrobing of the guy and going through his pockets,” Brown said. “He wasn’t involved in any of that and has no real association with those people.”

Police are still trying to identify the other attackers involved.

    We can thank the Obamas, Sharptons and Jacksons of the black community for instilling a culture of hate in their comity towards asians, hispanics and whites. This will go on till a real leader steps up in the black community and tells their people the truth, no one owes you anything, you need to raise your children in two parent households, you work for what you want out of life, and you instill a culture of love in your children. Sounds like the great Dr. Kings dream is dead in the black community.

    I donate and am a Member of the NRA for reasons as this.
    Here is a Small Example of what I witnessed and had to go through growing up in Detroit. Just because I was White. No one wants to hear my story though. NEVER ever a Fair Battle. Like Animals it’s always Packs. “Stand Your Ground” would have saved so many of my friends and people I knew from Death by these Monsters. If only I could put in people’s mind what I witnessed. All this would be STOPPED.

      Mr. Brown, ummm, silly me but I most outraged about the punch in the face and theft..the rest is just disturbing. I live just outside Baltimore City, (about 1/4 mile) and almost never go into the city out of fear. Am I a racist, nope, but the almost 100 years of Democrat party rule has done nothing to help the schools or crime in the city. Very sad as both of my husbands parents grew up there and did my mother. I hope they arrest them all, if they find them.

      Sure, but chances are that wasn’t what was going to happen. This guy was totally wasted–there is a significant chance that he would end up accidentally shooting a bystander or simply missing everything. That’s if he manages to take control of the situation, which is doubtful. Given that one of those guys grabbed something right out of the man’s pocket and the victim was not able to react in time, it seems far more likely that they would have stolen the gun from him and either hurt the man even worse (no one likes when someone points a gun at them) or just stolen the gun to possibly use for committing crimes. You pro-gun folks like to say that its illegal guns, not legal guns, that criminals use, but none of those guns start off “illegal.”

      There are laws against carrying a gun and being drunk. And, unless you’re filthy rich, a politician, judge, celebrity, or have indisputable substantiated evidence of being in danger, in Marylandstan, you won’t ever get a carry permit. (The state actually is being sued for such an unconstitutional scheme). I’ve never heard of someone being drink, while carrying a gun, and then getting that gun stolen. Your hypothesis is BS. It doesn’t matter that guns are “legal” first. Once anyone STEALS a gun, that gun is illegal. Period. If you report your car stolen, that car becomes unauthorized for use, and anyone caught driving it will be arrested. That is starts off legal is irrelevant, and doesn’t matter.

      It is NOT racist to say that the attackers were black. That is merely a description. It IS racist to assume, as so many of you do, that the attackers in the video represent all black people, even when the broadcast includes a black police detective and black people on the street expressing outrage over the attack. That is simply seeing what you want to see and using it to forward a racist narrative.

      And for you “Stand Your Ground” folks out there: The victim in this case was clearly very drunk–do you really think everything would have turned out fine if he started waving a handgun around to scare people? Do you think that he was have been able to prevent someone from taking the gun away from him?

      Nope. You have absolutely no basis to claim anything near to a “majority” of inner city blacks behave like this. Baltimore is a city known for a high crime rate, which was measured in 2010 at 1.6 incidents per 100 people. Even in this high crime city, that is only a very small percentage a people involved in violent crimes in a given year. Now, if, as you suggest, a majority of inner city blacks were violent criminals, that rate would necessarily be much much higher (even considering that blacks are roughly 63% of the Baltimore population).

      So your perception that a “majority” of inner city blacks act this way is entirely artificial and has nothing to do with any actual observation. It’s simply a product of your blatant prejudice.

    If someone sucker punched me like that, I would quietly find them and show them some very good examples of how to act around others who are not bothering them, and show them just what happens when they take it on themselves to attack white people, or any people are not bothering them. Some of these people use their race as an excuse to attack others to rob, like someone owes them something. Some of them do indeed want our white. They are satisfied with nothing.

      I’m not arguing here, Blackyb, but if you were sucker punched, you’d have to be conscious.

      We had a family member sucker punched in Chicago when a bar fight spilled out into the street. My family member was walking with some friends down the sidewalk, minding his own business. The only reason I’m not putting flowers on a grave is because one of his friends knew CPR. It took almost six and a half weeks before he was able to leave intensive care following the brain surgery. It took another six months before he could walk on his own. As for the perp, he was a “good kid”, too, or so we are told. Now he’s wearing that fashionable shade of orange. It took almost a year, but the police did get him.

      My point is that you shouldn’t count on being able to hunt down someone after an attack like that.

      Always, you get more of what you are willing to tolerate. I, for one, am sick and tired of all the “good kids” involved in this stuff. Treating these kids as salvageable with light first time sentencing has not worked at all. If the law hit them hard the first time, maybe they would decide it wasn’t worth it. Prisons should be absolutely spartan, with subsistence level accommodations, (and no weight training rooms, no garbage TV or entertainment, PG 13 only, with educational Tv and books the only thing available to them,etc.) with only truly EARNED advancement based on work/educational success. Prisoners should have to pay for their incarceration through work, and prisons should be self supporting. The liberal view of rehabilitation, the way it is currently done is an abysmal failure.

      Well they finally got around to lift a finger to prosecute the criminals. This is called an Eric Holder “Like Crime” He doesn’t like to do it, but he caves in to the media and let’s the Baltimore PD arrest this fine young child. Any crime that the child utters White Boy, Get what you deserve ******* etc….. is a “Like Crime” which means that it’s most def. not a hate crime, but they will placate whitty and arrest the criminal, just not charge him for a Hate crime, like they would do if it were reversed.

      Also, doesn’t charge black dudes with Hate Crimes if they kill a Gay white person. That’s just a run of the mill Like Crime. Black dude get 5-10 and out in 2 vs. Throw away the key.
