Update: MSNBC‘s O’Donnell Claims Strange Victory Over Beck

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell was giddy with excitement Friday evening as he announced conservative radio host Glenn Beck “agreed” with him that the unfolding crises around the world today do not spell Armageddon.

This is apparently a victory in O‘Donnell’s book — never mind what may have been said during the other 2:59:30 of Glenn’s 3-hour radio program.

As we reported, O’Donnell initiated an exchange when he claimed the Bible was a “work of fiction” and criticized Beck for not knowing whether we’re experiencing the end of the world.  Glenn responded Friday morning during his radio broadcast that O‘Donnell’s ardent distaste for faith and religion would never allow him to really understand it.  While he agreed with O‘Donnell’s assertion that we are in fact not witnessing Armageddon, Beck slammed the MSNBC host for his attack on religion.

Here‘s O’Donnell’s Friday evening response in a nutshell: He said he agrees!  Haha!  He said it!  You can’t take that back!  I tricked you!  Neener neener nee-ner!

Er, congratulations…?

Behold, one of the most baffling cable news segments I’ve ever witnessed:

“I agree with that…” [snip]

Oh… was that the end? Didn’t Glenn have more to say?

No. Glenn Beck agrees with Lawrence O’Donnell. End of story.

I don’t really believe that conservative Beck would echo the thoughts of self-avowed socialist O’Donnell.  Can I hear that again?

“I agree with that…” [snip]

See? It’s soooo obvious!  Booya.  In your FACE, Glenn Beck!

So much of the teachings of the Evangelical teachings on Revelations is geared more toward, as Peter warned “making merchandise” of Christians. Every ten years or so you will have some religious fanatic or lunatic fringe publish a book like Hal Lindsay’s “The Late Grate Planet Earth” spouting endless fanciful tales of Armageddon. Neither Beck nor O’Donnell are correct in there interpretations as Jesus told his disciples of the destruction and the destruction of the world. No rapture, no earthly kingdom lasting 1,000 years. One cannot believe is the earthly reign of Jesus on THIS earth without admitting that Jesus lied when he told Pilate that “my kingdom is not of this earth.”

What Jesus Christ actually said was
Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Matthew 24:8 All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

So what we are seeing and experiencing right now is NOT Armageddon, rather only the “Beginning of Sorrows.”

Mark 13:32 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Mark 13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

If Jesus Christ the son of God chose not to know and the Angels in heaven do not know, it is highly doubtful that either Beck or O’Donnell could discern the time either. So watch and pray; for you know not when the time is.

Well said ozymandias. We must go thru turmoil to get to armaggedon and we very well could be seeing the beginning of the sorrows. How long will it last who knows. But does it really matter to Christians. I will gladly suffer to see the return of the savior. To many people ask why does God allow suffering but they forget the evil that is Satan. But he will get his in the end.

In O‘Donnell’s zeal to castigate a “literal” reading of the Bible, he sadly overlooks some basic things that “even a half-smart religious person” would have encountered in Sunday School 101. While it is certainly true that keeping the Sabbath day holy and not committing adultery, for instance, are moral laws that apply to all times, including our own, the specific punishments prescribed for disobedience no longer apply. Has O’Donnell never read the New Testament: We are no longer under law, but under grace. Capital punishment for Sabbath-breaking had a time and a place, but all that has been superseded by Christ. And, of course, when it comes to the Sabbath day, O’Donnell simply imagines a discrepancy between Jews and Christians that does not exist. Christians understand that the Sabbath is Saturday; this is not news to us, though O’Donnell likes to think it may be. Any half-smart student of Christian history will tell you that Christians moved public worship to Sunday in honor of the Resurrection, not out of confusion as to what day of the week the “Sabbath” actually is. The first Christians, after all, were Jews. What I’m really curious about is, Why does Lawrence O’Donnell insist on remaining sophomoric and ignorant?

O’Donnell is a nut. He is claiming that the Bible says that kids should be put to death if they dishonor their parents???? Where is that? By the way, he is quoting the Old Testament and there is a reason that it is called the Old Testament. Had Jesus never existed O‘Donnell would have a case but he in fact does exists and O’Donnell just looks like another liberal cherry picking the Bible to prove some sort of point. Liberals will take what he said as further justification never to crack open a Bible and find out for themselves and Christians will know that he is full of it.

When when Axelrod left the WH to begin O’s re-election campaign, he commented that they will focus on FOX personalities as opponents. Whether it‘s O’Donnell, Scarborough, Schultz or Maddow, the attack dogs at MSNBC are constantly after Beck (and Palin). Rush is right: we always know which conservatives the Regressive Party (there’s nothing progressive about their agenda–they seek to take America backward, not forward) fear the most because those are the ones they attempt to discredit and destroy. If Beck were as silly and insignificant as they people claim, they wouldn’t diminish themselves by even talking about them. O‘Donnell desperately wants Beck to appear foolish but he’ll not make a dent in that unless he starts showing up at FOX and going after Beck’s audience. He’s wasting his breath preaching to his choir; it’s a given that the audience at MSNBC, starting with Leftie Scarborough in the morning till Schultz at the end of the broadcast day are all Beck/FOX/Palin/conservative/Federalist/small government/Billof Rights/Constitutionalist adversaries. Glenn should just stop giving O‘Donnell any add’l press. Scarborough had his 10 min of fame a few weeks ago when he went after Glenn; that’s all they are doing. They attack in hopes they will gain viewers for their pathetic programs.

He isnt a joke he is pathetic.

He is trying to use this failed attack at Beck to make a name for himself. The guy is a clown and needs something to justify the time slt he is in. They network has horrible ratings so the guy in a pathetic attempt of desperation goes after Beck to boost his numbers. Beck inadvertently by engaging him in this back and forth is creating an audience for O’Donnell. Beck for once should come out of his shell and slam the guy to no end ripping him apart and leave it at that.

I suggest folks contact PMSNBC parent company COMCAST and complain! Better yet by some COMCAST stock and complain b/c it makes you an “owner” of the company and that loons “boss”. Imagine if instead of a boycott one organize a stock purchase by millions of ppl and then those stock holders of just a few shares demanded changes over at PMSNBC. The massive # of stockholders could easily out number the few who hold large shares! This is how you beat them folks, you have to think out of the box!

You really can’t blame LO. He’s only trying to appeal to his audience…. Liberals with a 5th grade IQ….oh wait, that’s redundant…liberals.

Can you imagine how pathetic O‘Donnell’s life must be to sink to this level of dialogue? I’m betting he goes home every night and has long conversations with himself in a mirror……no one else can stand to listen to him.

“SPELT” you talk about spelling and type spelt? Can you find that one in the dictionary for me? Here is a list of other words that you might find enjoyment in. Felt, smelt and pelt. No spelt though!

Larry is a demon/antichrist. We knew there would be many of them, too bad most of them are going much further under people’s spiritual radar. God please bless this man with the Truth in it’s entirety before he wins more souls for satan.

First Charlie Sheen, and then the Japanese Nuke powerplants, now Lawrence O’Donnell. Meltdowns in full view.

There is a little humor in Larry the Loser’s diatribe. He unconsciously makes the sign of the devil at 2:08 in the video.

Do truly evil people believe they are evil?

Will the Anti-Christ know who he is?
