Update: Officials Now Say There’s a Crack in the Wash. Monument

WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) — After saying yesterday afternoon there was “absolutely no damage” to the Washington Monument because of the earthquake, the National Park Service now says engineers have found a crack near the top of the Washington Monument presumably caused by a magnitude-5.8 earthquake that shook the East Coast.
Park service spokesman Bill Line said Tuesday night that structural engineers found the crack where the 555-foot landmark narrows considerably.
He says the monument will be closed indefinitely to keep the public safe.
An outside engineering service will study the crack on Wednesday.
The structure, however, is still not tilting as some initially thought.
The 91,000-ton monument is made of Maryland marble.

Report Post »1. The quakes were not caused by God acting in judgment. God‘s aim isn’t so bad He would hit DC while Obama was out of town.
2. However, the quakes were caused by the Tea Party. Why NOT everything else bad in DC is blamed on them.

Note:the Washington Monument they say is cracked. That remembrance to the great Founding Father with its symbolic display reflecting our Christian Founding.That Monument was closed to the public during that Sacred Assembly of Promise Keepers some years ago for “renovations” and I was told it was all structural–can’t help if the crack might be relative to that –unnoticed until the shaking.

We have been seeing the rise of the new Tyrant and it‘s not Obama or Bush it’s Progressivism and it’s need to control and devourer all it sees. The sad part is half of the population is begging for rule and for a goevrnment to make all decisions for them. The other half wants Goevrnemnt to simply protect the soveriegnity of our Nation and allow individuals to live free lives.
We are a house divided in polar opposites there is no common ground to be seen. We at another point that will someday be called a moment in history. Much like 1776 something will have to give it’s will either be a breakdown of our Union,a relinquishment of overreching Government power or an iron fist of monarchial government. I for one am hoping that Washington will return to Constitutional rule but as history has shown us power once given is hardly relinquished freely.
This is an exciting time for the patriots and defenders of the Constitution

This is an earthquake with vey little historic pemise of the mid 1800s and could not be explained by any scientist or metierologist. If we read the bible and prophecy we can see the birthpangs coming and he detstrution of monument is the no turning back sign that we have fallen so far from the country’s foundation and we will all pay.

In 1963, the view from the top was inspiring.
In 1985, it was too much of a hike.
In 1999, the whole place reeked of corruption.
