WASHINGTON (The Blaze/AP) — Defense officials say Pentagon chief Leon Panetta will certify that gays may serve openly in the armed services. News of his decision comes two weeks after top military leaders agreed that repealing the 17-year-old ban will not hurt military readiness.
The decision is not unexpected. The Pentagon has conducted months of internal studies and training to gauge how troops would react to the change triggered by a law passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama in December.
The Pentagon announcement is expected Friday, and Obama is expected to endorse it.
Repeal of the ban would become effective 60 days after certification, which could open the military to gays by the end of September.
The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the decision has not been made public.

Posted on July 22, 2011 at 12:53pmIntegration of blacks into the regular military forces had to come by executive order as well. This is nothing unusual. The minority never received equality from the majority willingly. They always had to take it from them, sometimes even by force.

Posted on July 22, 2011 at 1:55pmA minority is born the way they are. Homosexuals aren’t, if they are please explain to me how the gene is passed along? There’s no other animal that fornicates with the same sex in the entire animal kingdom. So please explain to me how homosexuality is natural.

Report Post »Homosexuality is found in hundreds of other animal species. So yes it is natural. If gays are born that way how does the gene get passed on? If you don’t know what a recessive trait is you should do a little homework before you start talking about science. And it can be passed on from gay people. Medical science can help with that now, but the traditional method is closing your eyes and thinking about something else. After all, even Oscar Wilde had a wife and kids (and sincerely loved them, people are complicated). And you can be born that way even if it’s not genetic in origin. This is called a teratogenic mutation, another thing you should already know about before you start talking about science.

Posted on July 23, 2011 at 12:55amHomosexuality is quite common in the animal kingdom, especially among herding animals. Many animals solve conflicts by practicing same gender sex.
From the middle of October until next summer the Norwegian Natural History Museum of the University of Oslo will host the first exhibition that focuses on homosexuality in the animal kingdom.
“One fundamental premise in social debates has been that homosexuality is unnatural. This premise is wrong. Homosexuality is both common and highly essential in the lives of a number of species,” explains Petter Boeckman, who is the academic advisor for the “Against Nature’s Order?” exhibition.
The most well-known homosexual animal is the dwarf chimpanzee, one of humanity’s closes relatives. The entire species is bisexual. Sex plays an conspicuous role in all their activities and takes the focus away from violence, which is the most typical method of solving conflicts among primates and many other animals…
Homosexual behaviour has been observed in 1,500 animal species.
“We’re talking about everything from mammals to crabs and worms. The actual number is of course much higher. Among some animals homosexual behaviour is rare, some having sex with the same gender only a part of their life, while other animals, such as the dwarf chimpanzee, homosexuality is practiced throughout their lives.”

And — preemptively — don’t bother to point that this article is from the NYT. Mullens‘ and Gates’ statements have been reported in all outlets — even the Military Times.

Posted on July 22, 2011 at 9:54amThis will “enhance” our military just like “diversity is our ”strength” did for society in general, which now finds us as no more than a weak, competing nation of squabbling tribes, each one pushing for power for his own group, while refusing to give loyalty or allegience to the country as a whole. In other words, what we have here is a social engineering policy that is strictly political, with the attendant biased studies for back up designed to support a conclusion, rather than finding the truth.
There are now officers in the military who couldn’t pass a GED test on the high school level, put there to gain “diversity” for political reasons. It was done with the assurance the military overall could “absorb” the negative, incompetent effects of this policy. It will cost lives, but to the leftist brass responsible it’s a small price to pay to enhance their careers with the controlling extreme leftist politicians now in power.
By the same token, there are people put in technological positions whereby double the training is required for people who never really measure up to requirements to effectively do the work, all for the sake of bowing to the abject diversity god.
The world is catching up. The weakened US military is positioning itself for a major defeat on the battlefied.
As the political dreg says to the politician, “If you need one, I can get you a study that will support your opinion no matter what it is.”

Exclusion was both Policy and Law.
Report Post »And we trained to oppose the Soviet and all enemies foreign or domestic by learning and learning from our Founding history. The majority of punishment I received over the next nearly 8 yrs. involved those who lied to the Army about their sexual orientation. When An Unusually Good Liar announced DADT After I was honorably discharged I wrote the man I had helped elect. And Expressed my opinion of the FRAUD The Clinton White House responded by replacing my Christian name with Seig Heil on their vacuous reply. I ceased being a Democrat dupe. With the repeal pushed through by Lame Duckery
And the quartermaster YES Man for Obummer at the Pentagon and open Sodomy embraced and protected by the Military Chiefs I cannot encourage ANY to consider enlistment or re-up unless they are willing to respond to any Sodomite as if they were an enemy combatant on the battlefield. Because the Military Law can only protect those willing to subvert their unnatural sexual orientation to the written law.Violence is too often the only language that type understands.

Calling sin is not the same as being “anti-person” , or anti-gay, to use your word. Of course, I’m against the acts of homosexuals, as God is. But, I’m also against stealing, lying, disobedience to parents, lust, filthy communication, murder, etc.
Would you care to call these and other sins also some sort of legal orientation?
You do not fear God, as the gays. God will not be mocked, and if America does not speak up and quell the sinful uprising, we will be punished, most likely by the Muslims.

Gay people are like other people in that they need to form relationships and have sex to be happy.I don’t buy all this love the sinner, hate the sin horse manure, because if you really love someone you want them to be happy. If you’re against their happiness, you’re against them, even if you are big-hearted enough to admit that they should still be allowed to exist.
Finally, though I disagree with you, on reflection I believe that I should apologize for the cavalier toen of my first post. If your dismissal was really just for an opinion stated to your superiors, and you did not say that you would be unable to follow the Air Force’s protocols or work with gay airmen, then I think that it was unjust. If you did say that you couldn’t follow the rules, that would make you a hypocrite, since you stated that you consider lust and filthy communication to be sins, and we both know that you wouldn’t have lasted this long if you weren’t willing to mind your own business and accept that people have a right to commit those sins whether you like it or not.

I recently spent time in Silver Spring, Maryland, and other guests at the hotel in which I stayed were family members of patients at Walter Reed or service members receiving outpatient services. These men and women suffered horrific wounds — double and triple amputations, blindness and disfigurement. Anyone, anyone, who risks such terrible consequences to defend you deserves your respect.

Posted on July 22, 2011 at 7:58pmNot when they are gays. They have no business being there. They are an abomination, and the idea of them sharing showers and sleeping arrangements makes me sick. I cannot imagine my son in a situation like that. I would not want to interact with them in any way shape or form.
I am better than a lot of people. A lot of people think they should serve….on the front lines under heavy fire.
Seriously, I am just sick and tired of them trying to pass themselves as just normal everyday people, just wanting to live their lives, blah blah blah. It is sick! They are not normal, they are sick and perverted and they are like a cancer on society, doing everything they can to gayize everyone they can.
Of course in some respects that is better than their old mission, which was to give as many people as possible aids in order to get the political attention necessary to increase aids research etc. I was never so shocked in my life as when I saw that gay guy say that. Unbelieveable. They try to force us to not agree to and accept their fact that gaydom is “normal”, while it is NOT normal at all. They tell our kids not only that it is normal, but it is a cool thing to be/do.
Bottom line is, it is all about sex and gratification. They are too lazy to court, they are too lazy to do the work necessary to have a relationship with a member of the opposite sex. They are selfish, and self centered, all about me.
Now blast away….but you know I am right.
